I've been meaning to try this place ever since I heard about them in the news. If you aren't, the immigrant family who owns this business has been targeted by ICE recently. Thankfully the local community has stood up and supported them, but their struggle is not over. Being unfamiliar with Turkish food, I decided to have the Lamb Kebab Platter, which seemed like a good place to start. The food was delicious and freshly prepared. No frozen and reheated mass-produced junk food hero. The lamb was tender and juicy and full of flavor. The rice was nicely seasoned and the vegetables were all fresh and delicious. I finished everything on my plate and I look forward to returning soon to try some other dishes. If you want delicious food that isn't your everyday American burgers fried stuff, you need to go here. Even better, you are supporting a small family-owned business that is giving back to its community, despite efforts by our government to run them out of the country. Pay special attention to the sign on the front door. Free food for the homeless and disabled and anyone who can't afford to pay. This is the kind of business we should all support and lift up, as opposed to the giant corporations run by billionaires and squeezing every last nickel out of consumers and employees alike. Do not be afraid. Love is all you need.

Small corner store with a few tables inside! Very busy a lot of take out. Family run, clean atmosphere friendly most of all Fresh , The food was amazing!! My friend also prefers vegan and to her delight they had gyro vegan? Yea who knew She loved it and the lentil soup I had gyro meat!! Grape leaves and salad OMG FRESH VERY Reasonable prices. Food is love at Jersey Kebab! Witnessing this family run their restaurant with smiles and happiness despite the noise in their personal lives is moving. The menu is far from the run of the mill middle eastern food; hearty, rich and made with purpose - this stuff is the real deal.

Friendly family owned restaurant. Food is fresh and comes out hot. I enjoyed my Chicken Adana Kebab Platter - I liked the slight spiciness to this dish. The meat was a tad bit dry but the yogurt sauce went well with it. Chicken shish with vegetables was also delicious. The kebabs were tender and moist. We enjoyed the Turkish caramel tres leches cake. The cream on the top was quite sweet, but loved the soaked slices of cake. The pistachio Turkish delight was a tad bit too sweet for me.

In the mood for some good Middle Eastern food, we did a search on Yelp, liked the reviews for Jersey Kebab, and called in an order for pickup. Picking up the food, I saw that the place is not large--there are five tables, but it's attractively decorated and clean. The bakery case was filled with delicious looking desserts. Our order consisted of a chicken gyro, a chicken adana, and cold chocolate milky baklava. Everything was perfectly seasoned and tasty, but the standout for us was the cold chocolate milky baklava, which was truly outstanding! The service was friendly and efficient. We look forward to returning soon.

Chicken Gyro was loaded with juicy shaved chicken thighs on a soft and fluffy pita without any overly garlicky/onion flavors. Excellent. Baba ghanoush portion was massive, savory, smoky, smooth, and exceptional. The accompanying pita was soft and just crispy enough on the bite. The pistachio baklava was just sweet enough and donned layers of soft, crispy, and dense pastry. All around an exceptional meal.

I ordered from Jersey Kebab via DoorDash, so I didn't get to experience the restaurant in person, but I had to leave a review because I loved the food. The portion was generous and neatly packaged, providing enough for sharing and still leaving me with two meals for myself. I had the Jersey Mix Grill Special, and the quality was superb. The lamb chops were a standout. I'm looking forward to visiting the restaurant in person soon.

Very good! Went for lunch with my partner and we will be going back. Both of our meals were delicious. The chicken Adana platter comes with two kinds of rice and a salad which was great. Portions are generous and very filling. As much as I loved my platter I may switch my order to the cheesesteak, it was amazing! The onions were great inside and the gyro meat worked well. *some fried were eaten on the way home because who has the patience! read more

I popped into this little corner restaurant and had the Chicken Shish Kebab Platter and a Turkish coffee. Both were excellent. The chicken was super flavorful, tender, and juicy. Both types of rice were delicious, and the sumac onions and pickled cabbage were nice compliments. The cucumber tomato salad was whatever, but I really liked the grilled pepper and tomato. The Turkish coffee came in a bigger cup than I was expecting and was very tasty. And I tried a bit of one of their Turkish delights. They come in a bunch of types, but the one I tried had what looked like blackberries on the outside--it was so friggin good. Would recommend this place for sure. Absolutely the WORST gyro I have ever eaten. The meat was pulled out of a drawer chopped into little gristley bits and served dry with no tzatzki sauce. Maybe, it was because it was late in the afternoon, but it was a disgraceful dish to serve. They do not deserve a second try. read more

Jersey kebab has been delicious every time I've eaten there. The authenticity of the Turkish/middle eastern fare as well as the taste are amazing, and then you're greeted kindly by (I assume) the owners/family members/friends! I've had their chicken gyros, chicken loaded fries with cheese (which can serve a family of 4), lamb-beef platter, chicken soup (buy the quart), mezze and so many desserts. I love the (making this up) raspberry Dulce du leche and recently these rolls (see pic below). They are nutty, fruity, marshmallowy delights! I got on the car and immediately tried the pistachio with raspberry jelly/taffy...SO GOOD!! It was so good I ran back inside to tell them how delicious and the gentlemen told me I should try the new chocolate one, which was already in my bag! The chocolate hazelnut was absolutely decadent, reminded me of a chocolatier version of a Roche. I got the chicken Kabab platter. I thought it would be on skewers layered with roasted vegetables but it was only a piece of tomato and a little piece of green pepper. There were two different types of rice. Not sure why that was. I would have rather replace the one rice with roasted vegetables. However, the food was delicious! I would definitely order from there again. read more

Gyro meat was very tasty flavorful, and not overcooked, the pita looked like it was home made as well. I am disappointed that I didn't order the gyro for myself. The Greek salad was pretty good. I ordered it with chicken shish. The salad has a lot of variety in vegetables in it. I think it would have been better with the gyro meat, the chicken was a little bit dry. The kofte sub was good. Kofte isn't typically my favorite, it's usually too dry and fairly flavorless. Not here, you could taste the spices in the meat and it wasn't as dry as most. I was so happy to try the baklava. It's one of my favorite desserts. It's served in 4 bite sized pieces and was very tasty. I like that the menu is small, what they do, they do well. I'd like to see some more vegetables on the menu, especially in the platters. read more

Ordered the Chicken Adana Kebab Platter for takeout when this place just opened. Overall, was very pleased with the food. The meat was seasoned well (could have been a tad bit spicier) and the rice and pita were also good. Will definitely be back to try some of the other items. read more

Amazing food - all of the Kebabs were tender and delicious. The hummus and other dips were well made, tasted fresh, and served with soft fresh pitas. Delicious dessert selection!! Run by the nicest family. Overall 10/10 place! read more

Ordered the other day for pickup from Jersey Kabob, it's intended for pickup there were a few tables inside. Made an order for a few traditional items. Solid kebab type food, only thing was that I asked about pita and the guy said it comes with it, but that wasn't the case, so just make sure to get extra if that's what you want. read more

Let me join the chorus of folks who love this place!Plenty of food for your money...and it's VERY GOOD! The wings? Large, meaty, and cooked just right. The chicken kebab pita? High quality chicken, delicious char broiled taste, and just the right saucing. The Falafel? While most places tend toward dry and crumbly...THIS falafel is the real deal! Hard to describe other than Wow! And the bed of rice that accompanies some of the dishes? WAY more tasty than the white or brown rice you get at Asian fooderies. For $30.00, I'll have 3 very well prepared, out of the ordinary meals. This place is a WINNER! read more

Unassuming from the street but great food. My wife had the lamb shish and I had the beef-lamb adana platter. Both were excellent. We took home a carton full of wonderful desserts, too. Try this place!! The food is fresh, perfectly executed and authentic. Wonderful salads, loaded sandwiches, and delicious soup. I haven't tried any desserts yet, but I will. Try the ezogelin soup--i won't even try to pronounce it, but I will get some Every time I visit. I've been there twice and the food is consistent. Get the Greek salad with chicken adana. What an amazing experience! The wonderful people who run this place were so warm and friendly to my family and even hooked us up with extra dessert! Flavorful meat platter! This was our first time ordering and we used their website to do so (more user friendly than one on Yelp!) We ordered the falafel platter and the chicken shish kebab platter. The falafel was a little dry but the sides such as rice, mixed cucumber/tomatoe/onion salad and yogurt sauce were great. The chicken shish kebab was well seasoned and went great with the same sides. Upon picking up the order, they were friendly and offered me a try of Turkish coffee (but I opted out for dinner time hours!) and Turkish tea (totally worth trying). One day when we return for a lunch, I'll make sure to try something else on the menu and their coffee! I look forward to thriving business in the area. read more

It blows my mind that this place isn't rated 5 stars. It should honestly be 6. I've been going here at least 2-3 times a week for the past 3 months and it never ever gets old. I get the chicken shish kebab wrap and it is one of the most delicious things that has ever entered my mouth. On top of the mouth watering food, their customer service is better than the workers at Chick-fil-A. Troy and Mohammed are 2 of the nicest, most qualified business owners I have ever seen. This is easily my favorite restaurant in town. Can't say enough good things about this place!!! read more

Super yummy food, super nice people. The falafel sandwich on pita is my go to comfort food right now. My kids and husband swear the chicken kebab is the best they have ever tasted. I always order a lentil soup too, even if I am too full to have it with my meal I will eat it at the next meal and it re-heats great. Sometimes the wait for takeout is longer than the 15 minutes they unwaveringly quote, but it's worth it. read more

My favorite meat on the plate was the gyro - a mixture of beef and lamb that was seasoned so well I couldn't stop eating it. I would go back just for that alone. The rice was also surprising flavorful.
