Multiple times in the last few months I have witnessed several people walked out, or opened the entry door and turned around to leave. Our first time here. The store is clean and bright, and there is a lovely selection of bagels! Lots of varieties of cream cheese available. The counter help was smiling, helpful, and efficient. Pale, underbaked, raw inside non bagels. Flat, oversalted. Not chewy or crispy. So bad I don't know how they can call a low gluten, underbaked, under developed, non boiled bagel a bagel. Nice little place for a bagel and cream cheese. 1 star docked because they don't have low fat cream cheese, hot tea, or any type of vegetables to put on your bagel. Despite all of that, I really enjoyed my breakfast here, steady stream of customers and they go quickly through the line. Maybe people come here for bagels but they absolutely don't come here for breakfast sandwiches on a bagel. We ordered two this morning and there was a line but it moved quickly. The egg on the sandwich is definitely microwaved, reminiscent of the fast food chains. The bacon totally soggy. Even Dunkin' Donuts bacon had more to it than this bacon. And fast food chains have improved their microwaveable eggs so Jersey bagels eggs are actually worse than fast food. I would come back and get some bagels for home but I wouldn't get any hot lunch sandwiches or breakfast sandwiches from them. It takes a minute to cook an egg the NON lazy way! read more

Atmosphere: Very classy inside, light and airy. Great display of their product. So funny note: we got some bagels early on a Sunday morning, just a few, and we loved the so much we went back for more to bring in to work the following day, but they close at 1 p.m. on Sundays just an FYI. We were 10 minutes too late for more carb filled goodness. Service: Friendly, the staff had plenty of suggestions and information about pricing. Food: Shut uppppppppppppppp. These bagels beat the pants off of Einstein Bros. and their cream cheese is a whole different level of goodness. We are hooked, we actually didn't renew our Costco membership since we now have a local bagel place vs. buying Costco's bagels ( Kirkland-Einstein bros. recipe). Jersey Bagel is the best Bagel place around. The breakfast bagels are to die for. I've been coming here for about 16 yrs on and off so the staff don't know me. I always get a salted bagel IF there is one left, apple crunch bagel and maybe the breakfast bagel if I'm really hungry. My mother in now addicted to this place so every time she is in town this is the spot for us to come. Unfortunately there is one employee that makes it always unpleasant to even want to walk through the door because she is rude, no smile, no customer service skills whatsoever. Today just happened to be the worst day for her I guess as I had only one hand to use with 3 baskets to carry along with a coffee cup and I asked her for a tray and she said no. Then continued to watch me have trouble trying to grab everything with a toddler by my side. It took a customer to help me bring my items to a table. As I watched other employees help other customers bring their items to the tables (mind you it was busy as always)! Maybe she is just have a bad day every day for the past year now but someone should talk to her. I'd give it a 5Star but can't due to her. read more

Lots of different options for both bagels and speads. I tried the Honey Butter spread on an everything bagel and then the original cream cheese on a onion/chive bagel...both were very good and there were many other flavors of spreads like Strawberry, Chocolate Chocolate Chip, Vegetable, Vanilla Creme, and others. read more

We bought a dozen bagels and three containers of cream cheese for a family brunch Christmas morning, a mix of everything, plain, and a few others. First of all we found that one of the containers of cream cheese was underfilled (I'd estimate it had 1/3 less than the others), which wasn't evident when we purchased it because of the label over the lid. Overlooking that, we dug in to the bag and discovered that all of the plain and everything bagels we got (8 in total) were incredibly doughy and very undercooked. I do prefer a softer bagel, but these were far too soft and did not have any of the chewiness a good bagel should have. When we tried to cut them they all ended up mangled. My wife is from a large Jewish family and grew up on the east coast, so she knows her way around a quality bagel. This being her first Christmas ever with my family, she wanted to prepare a brunch that included some bagels and lox, and was very disappointed by the quality of these bagels. Needless to say, if we ever decide to get bagels during a visit to the fox valley again we will go some place other than Jersey bagels. For what it's worth the staff was very friendly. read more

My wife stumbled upon this place, and it is great! I feel the location might be hurting the success of this business though. It's a very relaxing atmosphere, quick ordering, and they offer more than just bagels and cream cheese. The wraps and breakfast sandwiches rock! Plus they use Boar's Head Deli Meats. What attracted me to this place was the name, being from Philly. The prices are great and the bagels and cream cheese are very tasty and fresh. It may have helped that I went at 630 in the morning. Sadly, Jersey Bagel & Deli must have new management. I was appalled at the terrible quality of their sandwiches - chewy corned beef on my Reuben and rancid tuna salad. My family and I used to frequent Jersey Bagel & Deli almost weekly for a long time. We will never go back again. All four of us threw our sandwiches in the trash after taking one bite. I wrote a message via their website and have received no reply. You will regret spending money here. We spent more than $30 and it was a total waste.
