Came here for breakfast because our child had an event at Lawrence University and needed someplace to eat. Had an iced coffee and bagel with cream cheese and it was amazing- so delicious and earthy. Came back to Appleton for a girls shopping weekend and had to come back here! Everyone said the drinks and food were incredible. What is also nice is that both times I've been here, the staff is extremely nice! It will now be my favorite place to drop in when I'm in downtown Appleton. Love this cute place.

Cute cafe located in the downtown Appleton area which was convenient at place I stayed at. They have some quick breakfast that's affordable and special drinks. I ordered the violet chai which was decent. The bagels definitely are homemade and I could taste the rosemary and thyme but were dense. I would've liked to have had whipped cream cheese to spread on to the bagel easier.

We went back with the kids. Played chess and had a great time. The kids loved this coffee shop because "it's nice, you can play chess and they have hot cocoa and cake"lol It's official, we all love this place!

Quick rundown: Tasty food options, patient staff who are happy to explain anything to you. Slow walk-down: My friend and I had been burned and left wanting after a less than fruitful visit to another establishment earlier in the day...(see: my review of Lou's Brew Cafe). So we were hungry, parched, and looking for a quiet and cool respite from the raucous Mile of Music-ing. Maybe because we were already so low and just happy for anything, but I was truly very pleased with our visit here. Since they weren't hosting any concerts, it was pretty empty and quiet. Also it was, I think, within an hour of their closing time, but they didn't try to rush us out and did not make us feel like we were being difficult. And...we might have been a bit difficult. My friend had a lot of questions, specific dietary needs, and is pregnant so has some very specific wants. None of which is bad. Just sometimes...businesses and workers can get annoyed with even a single question. But here they did not. They were full of information and happy to share it, never hesitating to offer a recommendation or answer a question. Thank you for your patience and friendliness! I got an iced coffee of some kind. I don't know which one specifically...but I know it was delicious and it certainly hit the spot. I also got a piece of quiche. They had a looooong list of available kinds of quiche, they all looked delicious, so I just told them to choose one and surprise me. It was a little strange to see it delivered with grill lines on it, but I think they just used a panini press to heat it up. Which...hey, good use of existing kitchen tools! And it made the crust less soggy than one that was heated up in the microwave. It doesn't change the taste, and it was delicious. It also came served with some apple slices, which was a nice, tasty, refreshing surprise. My family members have a deep love for Copper Rock for coffee and breakfast foods. But I gotta tell ya....*whispers* I think Brewed Awakenings is betterrrrr! Give 'em a shot!

Absolutely fantastic! This was my first time dining here and I loved everything about this place! The service and food were excellent! Delicious, healthy, fresh, and organic! Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options! I had the Vegetarian Sunrise, and I could not have been more pleased! Warm, welcoming, and friendly atmosphere! Great wallet friendly prices! I have definitely found my new go to spot! Can't wait to return!

Super cute atmosphere at Brewed Awakenings. This is a great friend for meeting a friend or a coffee date. They had a ton of food options and great season drinks.

I want to give this place 5 stars but I think they use a microwave and fake eggs. Other than that, it's my favorite, it really is! I love that it's walkable downtown, I can stop in after the Y. The staff is so friendly! My mom-brain one time ordered my latte and forgot to substitute the milk, they made a new one for me for free even though it was my bad. We went once on a Saturday morning during the farmers market and they were busy- like line to the door. But they managed it well and the turnaround was quick. Otherwise during the week it's bit busy. They have a huge selection of food and drink it's so amazing! And handmade dessert case

Thoroughly enjoyed this coffee shop & their quality sandwich & soup option. Quaint seating viewing college Avenue with people hussle & bustling. Will definitely be back. In addition to the soup & sandwich I also got a nutritious shake.

This place is wonderful. We stopped for a mid morning coffee and my husband had the quiche. The coffee was great and they always have either almond or coconut milk for the vegan customers. My husband gave the quiche a rating of 3 on a scale of one to 5; he said it was a standard quiche nothing special. Their staff has always been very friendly and accommodating. They are also very dog friendly and had a separate water dish ready and waiting for our furry friend. One thing that they could do better is the table supports. There are always napkins pinned under them to balance the tables. It makes it look a bit less clean.

I love the aesthetic of this cafe! It's also a plus that they provide CBD shots, which comes in handy when college students in the area need to relax!! I also recommend the lavender vanilla iced chai with a CBD shot. My only critique is the plastic straws.

Lots of sitting room, can adjust tables for groups, warm atmosphere.

Service is always friendly, food is great, coffee delicious and well made. Try the bakery items, Nora makes some great scones and brownies. I always get extra points when I bring some home. They just reopened in their old location in downtown Appleton. I am excited to be able to hang out there between meetings.

It was even better warmed up a little bit. I wish they had single pieces for sale because I would have loved to get multiple flavors. The first thing to know is that servings are ginormous, so order accordingly! I ordered the breakfast sandwich (just a croissant with some ham and cheese) and it took up the whole plate, no lie! It was also delicious, the cheese was cheesy (and messy, which was a plus and a minus), and the croissant was light and fluffy. I also had one of their flavored lattes, and it was delicious as well. I know they use homemade syrups and it shows. Pro tip though-the lattes fill you up (not so great when they also give you huge portions of food). The staff is friendly, and service is pretty good. On our second visit we did wait quite a while for our food-it was busy, but not packed, so that felt a little off. But otherwise service has been great. They do have an outdoor seating area-we unfortunately haven't been able to try it yet, but I would like to as it looks great!

My experience this time around was a little bit more of a let down hence why I had to take one star off. When I went few months ago, I had burnt coffee which I chalked it up as a one time error. But it happened again with this visit, so that told me they don't really pay much attention to their coffee yet they have a whole menu dedicated to coffee. I also made a reservation on a Sunday knowing it fills up quick and that it might be hard to get a table, however, it was an hour and half before they close which means they tend to slow down around that time. Also, when making a reservation, it'll ask you if you want bar, dining area or patio. I chose dining area. Yet they called me an half hour before to see if I wanted to sit at the bar, which I told them twice in person I do not want to, and as a result the hostess gave me the annoyed/judgmental look down when I wasn't looking. As someone who has owned a family restaurant business for 30 years, that's a big no-no in terms of customer service. It's just rude and unnecessary. Also, they kind of really try to get customers out by 2, which is when they close. By standard at most restaurants, they need an extra hour after closing for customers to take their time with their meals rather than rushing through it, especially if you will sit them 20 minutes before closing time. I felt rushed, and I don't like that feeling at a place I'm trying to enjoy my meal. Would I come back here? Absolutely yes because their food is really the best for brunch in the area and it's cleaner. It just shouldn't be an excuse with certain things like what I mentioned above. P.S. if chicken and waffles happens to be one of the specials, get it. It's by far the best dish I've ever tried there and also my top 3 chicken & waffles that I've tried anywhere. SO GOOD!
