Seriously, why isn't there an option for a rating of zero stars......or fifteen-billion steaming piles of fecal matter. I mean - seriously, people - these people deserve a "star" for their business practices about as much as a tone-deaf donkey deserves one for singing opera. On top of their pushy, condescending, sales atmosphere (not to mention the deafening volume levels of their music), there is the following experience my wife and I had today:
We received their scam-alert bulk mailer, which advertised for a "Mega Tent Event" and included a voucher for $1,864 off the purchase price of a vehicle. We carefully read through the fine print so that we were well aware of any and all restrictions on its use. When we arrived, we found a car we liked, test-drove it, looked under the hood, and decided it was worth making an offer. Having found the blue book value for a car in this condition, we offered them cash for what we decided was a good starting point for this car. (blue book was $3,500 in perfect condition)
After a few minutes, the dealer came back and told us they had payed $11,000 for the vehicle, but they would do us a really big favor and entertain an offer of $9,500. I laughed in their face, told them to check the blue book on the car, and come back with something less.....laughable. After much negotiating, we agreed that $3,000 was a fair price for the car. I pulled out the voucher and my checkbook and prepared myself to begin check writing.
The head sales clerk told me that the voucher was only good for offers of $10,000 or more. Curious, I carefully examined the voucher and all its fine print and, having again discovered no such language, asked the dealer to point to where it said that. He, too, examined the document and, reaching the same conclusion I had, he remarked that "they usually say that its only good on offers greater than $10,000. I cocked my eyebrow and shrugged, remarking "well this one doesn't."
The dealer scowled and grunted, again examining the document. After a moment's pause, he told me that he wouldn't honor the voucher. I informed him that according to Washington State contract law, he pretty much had to. He again responded, although this time was far less polite, that he would not honor the voucher...
Short version: DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT....... EVER! read more
