Creepy place. Hounded by multiple sales people. I was interested in one specific vehicle but they kept trying to get me to look at other models I had no interest in. Very pushy also. Asking alot of personal questions that were none of their business. I was super interested in one model but they seemed like they wanted me to not buy it and get something else. Weird! I bought the same year with less miles and new tires for 4k less and I was not pressured at all at a different dealership. I recently purchased a truck from this location. Salesman I dealt with (Samuel) was very helpful, informative, and especially not pushy on the up sell package items. This was the first time in my car buying experience that I wasn't meant to feel guilty or bad for not purchasing package items on top of the already expensive vehicle. Sam was straight forward with me. Explained everything in detail, and worked with me on what I wanted and what I wanted to spend and those limits. We also had good conversations about each others lives during this exchange which I appreciated. And I say appreciated because it didn't feel like a tactic to "befriend" and then sell more in a now friendly situation. It was genuine. So this review is more about the man I purchased from rather than the car itself... a vehicle is a vehicle, the experience of buying it was what was worth it to me. To find out they were putting in a used part. The total bill caused 1800 my Volkswagen may be worth 2000. Without it being called to my attention going home after paying the bill I find out it's a used part plus they charge me for a core which they kept mr. Cooper. The overall manager proceeds to tell me that they're going to take off 400 but 50 of it was my money anyway. I wish we could give a negative star but one is as low as we could go. BEWARE, these folks are a rip off from the get go. Took our very expensive pickup due to an issue on it. Truck had under 20k miles and needed a part replaced. We paid for it but did not approve another issue on it which did not need to be done. We mentioned to them we did not approve the work they did as not necessary. Their response was basically' too bad'. If you want to get your vehicle back, then you will have to pay it. It was over $300 for something which did not need to be done. We have followed up several times and today they conveniently say they don't have a record of it being done. Madder than hell for the way they have treated us and the run around. We are considering purchasing a new truck now and it WON'T BE WITH KARMART. Side note; We were there a few weeks ago looking at Mazda's for my wife. She is disabled and could not walk around and look so we slowly drove around them looking. On March 25, 2025, I purchased a 2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport from KarMart in Burlington, WA. After all of the documents were signed, Peter left for a moment, and returned with the only key available. Since these keys cost around $1,200, I understand why I wasn't told until after everything was signed. I told him this would need to be addressed but he just danced around, telling me that he had a company that might be able to help. I then, in a sign of good faith, offered to split the cost, but later, Ted Hallenbeck, the Sales Manager wrote to me explaining that "it was never brought up". This, of course, is a lie. Now, after seeing the number of horrible reviews that have already been posted, I'm sure they won't loose any sleep over this, but "what goes around, comes around" and a price will be paid at some future date. I strongly suggest staying away from this company. Unfortunately, I have to add a star to be able to post even though it is far from deserved. read more

My good friend mother took their vehicle here for some routine maintenance. They gave her an estimate of over $3000. Upon hearing this, they took their vehicle to the Les Schwab, just down the street and received a new estimate of a little over $600. For the same work. Do not take your vehicle here. These guys don't mean a word of that. I'm an easy customer. I know what I want to pay and I know they need to make their money too. So as long as they make it work for me I'm good! We worked out a deal on decent, low miles Ford Fiesta. About 2 weeks after the sale the car began to over heat. I discovered a blown fuse for the radiator fan. The fan itself is shorting out the fuse and the non-functioning fan allows the engine temp to climb. This is the part of the last line of their statement where they lie. They don't care about jack S*** once the sale has been made. They claim to have some crazy 130 point inspection (don't quote me on the exact number) but they missed the loose rad fan. It's VERY shaky and loose. After letting them know about the problem it took a week (and I had to take a day off work) to get the car to service. Service was nice enough. But as I was ready to drop off the key the service tech let me know the sales manger told them "diagnose issue at customers expense". They wanted ME to pay $120 just to look at it... and they waited until I showed up and left it to the service tech to tell me that! It's been radio silent from them since. What is the point of paying a little extra money to a dealership vs private sales if they treat you like it was just a private sale? And that line on their page? Crap. They have done absolutely ZERO to help me out. Do they even consider what this means? It's already cost them one sale after a friend was looking on their page and I mentioned my issue. Of course I said "avoid them". If this place would have done the diagnosis for free THEN said it might cost money to fix, offered a rental (which I asked for and got denied) there's a chance I would write a different note... they lost my business forever. My wife's, my friends, co-workers, and probably a few who read yelp. Customer service is more than just making a sale and walking away. These guys don't know that and don't care. read more

I bought a new Nissan from Burlington WA at Kar Mart. I had problems right away with electrical and they also said they would purchase my old car and put it at the back of my loan, also said it had different entirior and, auto start and that was the only color. They lied about all above and car is so messed up. Been in shop numerous times!!?? They are liers and scammer's the people also told me to come back the following day and they would show me all the bells and whistles of the car? And I did and nobody was there that was certified and I drove over 60 miles they also said the night I bought the car to hurry up and do a review on them so it wouldn't look good on them so I did but I was still excited about the car I should have done a terrible review cuz the car is a piece of crap and it was brand new read more

My wife and I recently purchased our first 2019 VW Jetta at Karmart and was lucky enough to work with Trevor. He was truly the kindest person and so helpful in making the process smooth. He was knowledgeable and very courteous throughout this process. His supervisor Susan took ownership of our situation and provided us with total professionalism and courtesy. We were introduced to the service department, the pro shop and a quick tutorial of our new Jetta from Tim. Our overall experience was very pleasant and it only lasted 1:30 hours since we did most of preliminaries over emails, texts and phone calls. I purchased a car from here, I asked if the car had been in an accident because the lines in the body weren't straight. All they said was clean carfax. Brought car back had the service mngr and one other man look at it again. Spent 3 hrs and they said it was just a little bump but would need new bumper. They offered to pay for half. However upon taking it to a body guy they showed where some substantial damage was done to front and rear of car. Even while having an oil change they could see that the car had work done. The gm offered me 800$ credit to fix what ever needed to be done as a courtesy. But he was rude didn't care that prior to purchase I was lied to. They did a horrible safety inspection or did they even do one?? Idk because the body damage is obvious. Since I purchased the car during the summer I hadn't used my heater, when I did try to use it it was blowing cold air. I called the gm to try and redeem the credit since the cost to repair was over $1000.00 no callback I ended up taking it to rairdon in Marysville, pd the money to get repaired. The two actuators should have come up on the safety inspection with karmart because the wire was cut deep in the dashboard. These guys at karmart Burlington are super sketchy! Even while signing the finance paper work the f&i guy stated the lender required us to purchase an extended warranty. I spoke with the bank and they stated that is not true. Went back to karmart and the guy couldn't even look me in the eyes. So the f&i manager she might get u done but buyer beware! I did get my dream car but the deception has been a nightmare. Karmart does business the old school greasy salesperson way. Within 2 days of owning a brand new car from them the windshield leaked water into the interior of the car and soaked everything, during the fix they said the water damage isn't so bad, and you can't tell so don't worry. 2 years later and water just came through again, when I called them the sale manager offered to resolve the situation and find me something that will work. After a few emails I found out she just wanted to sell me another car, costing me more, and couldn't give me any deal because of the condition of the car now! Lol. After being there when my brother bought his car from here 2 years ago I had only good things to say until now. So disappointed. After being in a severe accident 2 wks prior and my car being totaled I decided to get a used truck for our property. I went in with honesty and nervousness. Buying a downgrade is never exciting but i needed to get back on the road and i needed something that could last. I told the first guy my absolute max amount. Then the real fun began.... after a quick test drive, the 'supervisor' came out and the first (rather nice gentleman- Adrian) stepped aside. Not only did he try to tell me the car was worth TRIPLE the amount I said I could pay, he said I could "never find a quality car like theirs anywhere else." I then spent another 30 minutes expressing how "no, i was not interested in buying this car and using my amount as a down payment, i wanted to buy a car at the amount I'd stated. I also stated that the price he was quoting was AT LEAST twice what it was worth. He pulled the "well i want to do whatever I can to make this work.... how about $50 a month after this downpayment?" I asked for the maintenance paperwork (several times) and the "132 point checklist" that he said was done to it. I never saw any of it. Who knows how long the car was sitting there. I highly recommend not purchasing a used car from here. They will create a false Carfax report to help sell the car. They will lie about the used car inspection they perform and will not be able to show you a report or will tell you they will get it to you later when the service manager is in. I purchased a jeep and took back to have the brakes inspected as they were squishy and then said the brakes were fine. Took it to another place and the brakes were not fine. Things that should've been caught in the used car inspection I have had to pay for to get fixed as they will not fix it. They will only buy back my car if I purchase a brand new car. That is not an option. When I wrote a poor review on their website and was asked to call the manager to help solve the issues and I got hung up on twice when trying. All I want is for them to fix the issues they should've when they did their supposed "used car inspection". This company is not a trustworthy company and will lie to you about everything on a used car. I am still waiting to get the information on the after market warranty I purchased to I can actually use it and that is nothing but a run around. For some reason they can't even give me or send me a copy of the warranty I purchased. I highly recommend avoiding this company when looking to purchase a car. read more

Came here looking for a truck but really was just checking out prices. A salesman's comes running out and we asked him about a particular truck and he tells us that there is one on the other lot and to follow him over there. We arrived at the other lot and proceeded to check out the truck. The salesman goes "Do you like what you see?" Gee if we didn't like what we see do you think we would be over there looking at it? Well then he tells us to go inside and see if they can give us an awesome deal we were like very hesitant but he kept saying we can get you an awesome deal because it's the end of the month. Okay fine. We get in, he ask for some information and then we get turned over to another guy. Umm what happen to the other guy? New guy looks like he is fresh out of high school and definitely not a person that I would like to share my financial information with. Well it seems like he was a middleman pawn and had to keep running back and fourth to see if he could work a deal. Long story short we walked out of there when they tried to offer us a ridiculous low price on our trade in. I honestly felt like a sheep here, being bounce around from one person to the next. The person helping us did have a mask on but the rest of the staff were very close by and massless. What an outrageous and unacceptable thing. We signed as fast as we could and got out of there. I had been e-mailing with Keiran about a 2012 Kia Sorento. He made me a really good deal, Zero down and 205 a month. I was excited and so happy about the deal. My husband and I went to there on a Sunday, earlier in the week i had emailed Keiran making sure that the car would be there, we pulled in in my husbands Truck. As soon as my husband opened his door one of the sales men outside had a sarcastic comment ready for how my husbands truck looked. :( A sales lady (she didn't even tell me her name) very annoyingly said "i guess i will help you since no-one else wants to". I hold her I was there to look and test drive a 2012 Kia Sorento.... before i could even finish my sentence she interrupted me and said "i sold that one 2 days ago as a trade in deal to someone" "but i have some new SUV's i can show you, let's go ahead and look at those." I told her that that was the only one i was interested in and she tried to pressure me into a BRAND NEW car. My husband and i got in our Truck and left. I e-mailed the Keiran on the way home and told him that i just wasted 2 hours coming to the dealership just to be told that the car he assured me would be there had sold. I was very disappointed and mad. 2 days later i received an e-mail from Tim the Sales Manager, asking how my experience was and if there was anything he could do to let him know. I told him about the whole deal and made sure to tell him that i do not appreciate being lied to. and that just because i am a woman they thought they could get me to buy a new car. Wife was looking to upgrade our Acura MDX with something a little bigger that seated 8. Ted at Karmart helped her out and didn't try to pressure her into a purchase. We came back the next day and Ted had managed to get us an even better deal on the Nissan Armada we were interested. Had a great experience with the Karmart on Auto Blvd. Live in Bend, OR and saw a great deal on a slightly used Mercedes online so emailed them and they quickly called me back. After negotiating on the phone, John sent me a video of the vehicle and re-assured me it had no smells or anything strange going on with it. Made a deal over the phone, contingent on said condition etc., then booked a 1-way ticket to SEA so I could purchase the car...Wow, I was impressed that I was offered a ride from the airport 90 minutes away and from the hotel the next morning to pick up the vehicle. 3 months later, they called to inform me they found the extra (very expensive) key-fob which they quickly shipped out to me...awesome! read more

There are about 4 Karmart dealerships in one area, I went to the Nissan one looking at the 2014/2015 Nissan Versa. Ted, the internet sales guy, met us on behalf of his counterpart who was busy at the time. Ted took us for a test drive and I loved the car. When we applied for financing (since our credit is horrible) and had zero down, Ted was able to work with us and get us an even better Nissan Sentra SV, with only a $500 down payment for the next month. Ted is a very genuine person and as another reviewer similarly wrote, he offered to repaint the area that where the sticker left a mark during our scheduled oil change. Ted is the reason why we are going to go back to the Nissan Karmart. The buying experience was easy, and a huge relief for our situation. We have never owned a new car before, and Ted made that possible. Interest is huge, but that is our fault, not theirs. We were sold the 108 mile 2014 one (test ridden a lot model) and the whole family is happy with the vehicle - my wife loves the "upgrade" to the Sentra. I don't necessarily care for how the finance guy acted or treated my wife, but he did work with us and I give him that credit. They tried to sell us insurance through All State, and I like the guy Corey with All State's one on one approach; however, my current insurance policy is just a better deal. With that said, our buying process was about 3 hours, but no other salesman harrassed us while we were looking around waiting for Ted. On our first day, we drove the Sentra to Bellingham, Birch Bay, Blaine then back to down. The reviews on cars.com accurately reflected what I experienced in driving the Sentra, and I didn't get any shady vibes or feel from the car. Service department disconnected unrelated after-market wiring to a toggle-switch enabled horn, and my fusebox, and left me with NO stock horn, then said it was "like that" when i came in, spoke to me in a way that made me feel like they didn't think I knew what I was tallinn about since I'm a girl, and refused to take responsibility. Even though my wiring to the toggle switch was completely different. Offered to "tow it in" and look at it, but then said they would charge for the tow (once denying again) if they were responsible. UPDATED: After a bit of escalation, Caleb talked to me with professionalism and grace and handled the situation satisfactorily. I went to the dealership on 8/31/2018 and decided to buy a brand new Challenger T/A. I sat with a younger car sales man and we talked and I decided where I wanted the payments. This went on for a while. I was in town for a couple of days and I needed to do some other things before I left town. I told the salesman I needed to go and I said I would be back after I got the things done that I needed to do. I started to walk out when the finance manager named brandon stepped in front of me. brandon asked me what the matter was and I said I needed to go since I had a few things to do before the day was over. brandon started to tell me that I needed to stay and that the sales man had been with me for 3 hours and I had taken his time. I again told brandon that I would return after I got some things done. To make a long story short, after some going back and forth and brandon telling me that the salesman had a dependents to which I said I didn't give a shit since the dependent wasn't going to make the car payment I was, brandon told me to get the fuck off his lot. The conversation obviously went further down hill. I left the lot and ended up calling the owner. A Mr. Draper called me back and was very apologetic and offered me a deal on the car. So here we are almost two months later and I have yet to receive a call from brandon to apologize for his actions. I'll acknowledge that I didn't mean that I didn't care about the salesman's dependent and trying to guilt me into buying or doing something based on guilt wasn't the answer. We were trying to be loyal customers since we had brought two challengers from this dealership. So beware of the going back and forth between the salesman and brandon. I had received a letter in the mail that it was time for yet another recall. I drop off my rig at the dealership and asked where can I get a car? They told me to go across the street and get one from the Nissan dealership. They lone me a nice sedan ( I would never buy one of these but will do the job for now) After filling out paper work they handed me the keys and I was on my way. I get to the interstate and before I reached 40 mph the gas light came on. Great they gave me a car with no gas in it. No big deal I just stopped at a station and filled it up. When I brought the car back it had a little over 2/3rds of a tank. They told me I better go top it off other wize Im going to get charged for the fuel. I explained to them It was empty when I got it. Here comes the best part. Three boys behind the counter are literally starting a pissing contest with me razing there voices at me calling me a thief and a lier. They were yelling at me and shouted out "YOU ARE BAND. YOU CAN NEVER LEASE HERE AGAIN"!!! I refused to pay for a third of a tank of gas I could not believe the childish behavior there staff provided me with. I told them to "suck my dick and fuck off" as I waked out the door. When I got to the Dodge dealership I asked them just how long has my truck been done for? "About 3 or 4 day's" he said. I said gee thanks for telling me. They never called me once to tell me My truck had been finished. After over a year later I go to the parts counter at the same dodge dealership to pick up a set of brake pads and they talked me in to buying new seals for the barring's as well. Guess what, they sold me the wrong baring's seals. So I simply did what I was originally going to do which is just use the old seals. At least I was able to return them but not before giving them all my personal information in order to return the product. So now I get more junk mail from a place I will never go back to. When I was looking for a car, I specifically asked if the one I was looking at was a rental. They said no. The carfax was "unavailable." Car seemed in great condition, so I bought the car. Well a week later I decided to buy the report because my jeeps brakes are acting funny. Low and behold it was a rental. They are liars and extremely deceitful. Had a problem with the rear hatch not opening on my 2011 Juke. I was going to get an oil change to get rid of two birds with one stone. First, they canceled my 1:00 yesterday at 10:30. There goes one day. Their oil change price says one thing. They were going to charge me more. When I asked why, they said that was a four cylinder price and that my car was a six cylinder. Didn't realize that oil changes change due to the amount of cylinders. The only problem is that my car is a 4 cylinder. The service department doesn't appear to know much about their own make of cars. Never again. I'll drive an hour to another dealership before I frequent Karmart again. read more

The Karmart experience was awful. It started at the purchase and got worse from there. When signing the final paperwork the salesman asked me if they could take it for a final cleaning. During which time they took the floor mats. After signing the paperwork my family and I took possession of the van and realized the floor mats missing. I asked them about it and the reply was that the mats were for demonstration only and if I wanted them back it be 250 Dollars. Later there was a factory recall involving the motor. We brought it back to Karmart to be repaired. The entire left hand cylinder bank was replaced. We recently found out from another mechanic that the intake manifold seal and timing cover seal we're leaking oil. I called Karmart because they are the only ones that have ever worked on the motor and they had to remove and replace these items during the motor work. Their reply was it is past the warranty period for the work and it's our problem. Oh and when we had it in for a wiring recall in the steering column my wife told them specifically no oil change and when I went to pick it up they performed the oil change any and charged me 90 dollars for it. My current neighbor was involved in car sales at a different dealership and when I told him about it he laughed and replied that they used to get people who had been screwed over by Karmart in on a regular basis to resolve issues with their vehicle. read more

DO NOT go to Volkswagen Karmart in Burlington Mount Vernon. I took my Volkswagon EOS to get a repair and was told they were going to "hold onto it" as it was running "rough" after the repair. They later called and said it was all "fixed" and ready to be picked up. Not 5 miles after leaving the dealership my car ran HORRIBLE! No power, making bad noises and later had to be towed. The dealership is refusing to repair what they obviously screwed up. My car was NOT running this way prior to going to the dealer ship. The dealership is saying that it broke in those 5 miles after leaving and refusing to repair what they broke! Help me spread the word and save other's the heartbreak and money. Shop elsewhere!
