Considering the amount we paid, the service and portions did not provide good value. The food portions were smaller than expected, several guests did not receive the meals they ordered, and one of the chefs appeared to be handing out dishes without confirming who had ordered them. As a result, some guests received the wrong meals while others didn't receive their food at all. What was supposed to be an enjoyable birthday celebration became incredibly stressful. Before we had the opportunity to discuss any potential price adjustment, the chefs had already left. I do want to acknowledge that the chefs themselves were polite and friendly. However, that does not make up for the disorganization, incorrect orders, and the overall disappointment. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.

The chef was able to go all the way out to Brighten Beach deep Brooklyn. He brought all the equipment, food and plenty of sake. Love to experience it again at the next celebration.

I'm not huge on this type of bar. Not that I don't like them, it's just not my usual go-to. That said, I honestly look forward to coming here every single year. The staff is great, the beer selection is perfect and the food isn't just your typical bar offerings. Sure, you can get wings and mozz sticks, but even the salads are excellent. I can't say that I'd recommend the salad at most bars, but Connolly's is the exception. Ok, I didn't have the salad, but my wife did and she was impressed. Aside from all this, the ambiance is good, the vibe is good, and it's just comfortable. None of the usual busted chairs or sticky table tops. Although I don't live very close, it's a place I'd def recommend if you're in the area.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS VENUE!!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! This has got to be the worst experience I have…read moreever had with any rental space. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I rented this space for the repast for my mother's funeral. The funeral home gave me the recommendation. Since I had a very short window in which to plan the funeral, I decided to go with the recommendation. I went to the venue and there was no one there. I called the number and a gentleman answered, he told me to hold on and someone would be with me shortly. We had no further conversation before he put me on hold. I was on the phone for quite some time and then decided to hang up since I saw two women approach and I thought one of them may have been the owner. It turns out they were also looking for a venue. A few minutes later a woman called me back asking if I was still interested in renting the space. I said yes. Her name was Aida. She told me to wait, she would be at the venue shortly. She arrived after a few minutes, took us inside and showed us the place. It was a nice space. She informed me that inside could hold 200 people and if that was not enough, the outside could accommodate an additional 40 people. I thought it sounded great and went to their office to finalize things. Once in the office, I was told that it would cost $3500 for the rental. I agreed and offered to pay with my debit card. Aida told me that it was better for me to pay with cash. I said I did not have enough cash on me but would go to the bank to get the rest. I gave her $300 as a deposit before I left for the bank so that she could see that I was serious about renting the hall. While I am at the bank getting cash, I get a call from Aida asking me if her boss spoke with me previously (during the 30 seconds when he answered my initial call to tell me to hold on), I said no. She said well the price is $5,500. I was floored, I said I was just in your office and you told me $3,500! I told her I was not paying anymore. She tried to haggle with me and I said no. I should have gone with my gut and gone back to get my $300 and cancel the arrangement right there. Anyway, she said ok and we went back to pay the balance. She asked me how many table and I said 20. On the contract it was divided by 10 round and 10 rectangle and 2 tables for the food. This was on the Monday before my mother's funeral. Let's fast forward to the day before my mother's funeral, Friday May 9th at 8:30pm. I get a call from Ida saying that they do not have enough chairs and could I downsize the amount of people I was having. I could not believe what I was hearing. In addition to the grief I was dealing with because of the passing of my mother, and the other stress from planning a funeral, here comes this woman, with no regard to what she is asking me. How do you downsize for a funeral repast ? Should I have started calling people that night to tell them not to come? I'm just at a loss of how any business owner can see that it's ok to do that. I told her to call Henry so we could speak with him. She called me back to tell me Henry would speak with me in the morning, the morning of my mother's funeral. I said absolutely not, he has to speak with me tonight and that my mother's funeral started at 9 am the next morning and I would not be speaking with anyone at that time. After some back and forth, Henry finally called and I spoke with him. I told him that it was extremely unprofessional for them to call me at the last minute to tell me that they did not have enough chairs to accommodate the 200 guests that I would be having. He assured me that all of the chairs were there and he would make it work. Needless to say, when the woman I hired to decorate the tables came to set up the morning of the funeral, she informed me that there were only 12 tables set up. She took a video of it for me. At that point I asked a cousin of mine to make some calls and tell some of the people coming to the repast to not come since we were unable to accommodate them. How utterly embarrassing for me and my family. I went to the office to deal with the matter the Monday after the funeral. I told them that I should receive some kind of compensation or reimbursement for them not being able to fulfil their end of the contract. Henry initially denied that there were not enough tables and chairs and then told me that he would need to look at the camera footage to see what the story was. I tried to reach out to him and Aida several times and there has been no response. The next step is court. So if you value your money, PLEASE DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. They lack any semblance of integrity. You as a customer deserves better. And imagine, this is a man who is running for Queens Borough President. If you don't have integrity or ethics in your business practices, how would you expect him to have it as Borough President?! Integrity is ingrained in the fiber of our core, you Henry Ike have shown you have none of that.

ROMA VIEW - SUNDAY, AUGUST 9, 2026…read more On the occasion of our 40th wedding anniversary, we held our celebration at Roma View. From the tour of the facility to the signing of the contract, both Eric and Laurie were consummate professionals. We had at our avail, the suite downstairs to change clothes and relax. The bathrooms were impeccably clean and there was an attendant to address your needs if you had any. Renee, the Matra D, took very good care of us. Her team of wait staff and the bartender were hospitable and cordial to all my guests. I want to also acknowledge the parking attendants and the hostess at the front desk. They greeted us with warm smiles and cheerful dispositions. The room was spectacular. It fit all 92 of my guests with room to spare. The food was tasty and plentiful. We had the brunch with roast beef as our choice at the carving station and unlimited spirits. The cash bar was additional. I added fish to the menu for those who might not want to eat meat. Along with the strawberry filled cake that was part of the package, I ordered the mini Viennese Display. This wowed everyone! My favorite was the lemon merauge pie pieces - scrumptious! Joe, you have a phenomenal crew! From the bottom of our hearts we thank you for helping to make our special day SPECTACULAR!

Lori from the office was also amazing and so helpful throughout the entire planning process. She was always responsive, accommodating, and made everything leading up to the event so easy for us. We absolutely loved the space. It was beautiful, fully private, and perfect for our bridal shower of about 50 guests. We had plenty of room and never felt crowded. Roma View was also very affordable for the quality of the food, service, and space they provided. Everything came together beautifully, and our guests had such great things to say about the food and venue. We couldn't have been happier with our experience and would definitely recommend Roma View for anyone looking to host a special event!

It's hard for me to review the staff--we didn't really interact with them, since we used an outside wedding coordinator (you can see my review of The Aurora Gallery separately on Yelp), but I know it's two ladies that are the owners. They were around during the event and were nice, though in general did not interfere to my knowledge, as we hired a separate event organizer to manage our event. I definitely recommend this venue for weddings--we had the ceremony on the terrace, they have a nice main area indoor for the dinner and dancing (we only had 50 people and it was more than enough space, but might be a bit tight for more), and they also have an upstairs office/bridal suite. I like the modern, industrial look of this place complete with a large chimney visible from the terrace. We were sold on this space the moment we saw it.

The venue allows overpowering, loud, basement-jam style parties that completely ruin any attempt at a sophisticated celebration. This venue is NOT for anyone wanting an elegant or meaningful event. GO TO RUSSO'S ON THE BAY, VILLA RUSSO, ASTORIA MANOR OR EVEN ANTUN'S. YOU'LL THANK ME LATER!!!!! We recently hosted my father's 75th birthday party at this venue, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. The music from the party being held on the other side of the hall was so overpowering that it completely drowned out our celebration. We could not hear our own music, our toasts, or even basic conversations at our tables. This was supposed to be a milestone event, and instead it felt overshadowed and disorganized because of the lack of sound control. The venues contact person "Roopi" unsuccessfully attempted to get the DJ to lower his sound equipment. After the event my family felt some sort of reparations were in order. When we brought this concern to "Roopi", she claimed she would speak with management. After a week of going back and forth, we discovered "Roopi" was in fact the manager all along and had been dishonest and stringing us along pretending to be talking to management. Not only did she give us a runaround, but when we returned to the venue to follow up, she was dismissive, rude, and continued to make excuses rather than take responsibility. She also denied any affiliation with the DJ whose music overpowered our event, which was clearly untrue. The lying, lack of accountability, and unprofessional behavior left us feeling disrespected and deceived. What should have been a joyful, once-in-a-lifetime milestone for my father turned into a frustrating and upsetting experience. I cannot recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for professionalism, honesty, or proper event management. Roopi is a snake!! I wish I thoroughly read through reviews before booking this venue because her rudeness and unprofessionalism is mentioned over and over again!!!
