We were told that they were closed due to the event so the wife went to use the restroom before we left. While waiting, I started talking to a very friendly guy named Joe about the Knicks. Funny enough, he turned out to be the owner. When the wife came out, I asked if we could just have one drink at the bar since we came all the way out there, and Joe told the bartender "Let these two sit and order some drinks". We sat, drank, and talked to the owner about business and life in general and it was one of the most pleasant times we've had at a bar in years. We are fans of Cityview (and Joe) for life.

The wife and I walked into Villa Russo to meet with KIM in March of 2025. The wife and I had a vision for the theme of the party. Well let me tell you, Kim had samples AND PICTURES of those samples at ACTUAL events. These things made the decision making so much easier because you did not have to visualize anything. It was already there in pictures. To say that Kim led us by the hand and showed us the way is truly an understatement. We believe she went above and beyond what was necessary. We were a little nervous planning a big event like this. Having Kim alongside us every step of the way was such a relief. Whenever my wife had a question about the event, Kim had an answer. THIS WOMAN KNOWS HER BUSINESS!!! When we arrived for our event, we had Justin who was running the room and Riswan who was assisting him. At bartender, we had the sweetest young lady by the name of Minerva. Minerva knew everything as far as what attendees wanted to drink. She was very quick and sweet. Justin is a superstar. He communicated with me about everything and with the help of our DJay Roger, helped move the party along smoothly. Then you have Riswan. There was nothing he would not do for my family and friends. Upon arriving at Villa Russo, guests were welcomed by an antipasto platter. Super delicious and super gone quickly. Food is the perfect ice breaker. For our salad we chose the Caesar salad. The pasta course was rigatoni a la vodka. A BIG HIT with the guests. For entrees, our guests chose from Shell steak, salmon, chicken francese or eggplant rolatini. Everybody raved about the food and especially the service. If any of our guests needed anything, Justin and Riswan were super quick to respond. The truth is there is not enough space for words to really say how grateful we are to everyone at Villa Russo. From Kim literally taking us by the hand and making our vision a reality. to Justin, Riswan, Minerva and Roger, our Djay, Villa Russo AGAIN, DELIVERED a most memorable night for us all. I just had my baby shower here last weekend. It was absolutely wonderful. We had an early daytime…read moreparty on a Saturday from 11-5. Abdul was great to work with. From the first visit to the hall it was amazingly easy to talk to him, ask all our questions and address any concerns. We had about 90 ppl in total, although we expected close to 120. Tables and chair were sturdy, good condition and clean. The hall was clean and tidy when we got there early Saturday morning. Abdul called in to check that we were doing okay that morning and to confirm that he would be by to check out the sound system and make sure it was up and running for us. There was an evening event right after ours so we did have to be certain of clearing out by 5 so that the next party could adequately decorate and we were able to squeeze by. Abdul was there at the end to make sure everything was ok and got to work with his clean up crew with the hall provides as part of the fees and pricing. There are add-ons that they offer such as the ice machine in the back room, which worked great for us for the price, having the peace of mind that we had ice on hand. We also used the chaffing dishes they offer (extra fee) to keep the food warm, we provided the burners ourselves. I wish I had taken more pictures of just the hall and the decorations but something is better than nothing. We provided decorations ourselves but I know that they do offer decoration services such as a decorative chair, tablecloths and chair covers that I had seen on other occasions during other visits during other parties. I definitely recommend this hall for events, parties of all kinds. Great staff to work with. Thank so much to Abdul and Medina Hall for making this such a special day!

The bi-level bar and lounge was dark, swanky, and seductive. It would make an excellent spot for dates or groups of friends, like mine. We started off sitting at the bar, as there were no large tables available upon our arrival. However, after about 15 minutes, the host approached to tell us that he could actually seat us. I picked up my glass, which was wet with condensation, and it slipped out of my hands. I was able to collect it with only a minor spill, but the host insisted that the bar staff make me a new cocktail in case the glass had chipped at all. It was a considerate gesture that I greatly appreciated. Plus, since I had already taken a few sips, I was thrilled to get those back in a new glass! In terms of my cocktail of choice, I had opted for the Hot Tijuana Tease, a fiery blend of mezcal, blanco tequila, chile poblano liqueur, and lime juice. So, it was essentially a spicy margarita, and it was excellent. There were clean, crisp notes of peppery heat balanced with layers of robust smoke. My only complaint about the lounge was that the bathrooms were beyond tiny. There were two unisex stalls in a very tight alcove that also included a cramped sink counter. It was awkward and uncomfortable to share that space with another patron. Aside from that, the Hide Rooftop was a beautiful place with a friendly staff and interesting drinks.

They've got table seatings with happy hour 4 till 7pm mon-wed, 4-6pm thur-fri, and bar seatings is happy hour whole day weekdays. Their happy hour menu doesn't have a huge variety but got some great selections. We had a passion fruit margarita, Amstel beers and some of their boneless chicken wings. Drinks and food were both great. The chicken wings seemed more like nuggets but had a really good batter and was fried nicely, fingers weren't really greasy. So good we ordered another one. There was only one bartender taking our orders so it took a while to place our order since he was really busy but he was super kind and attentive, kept refilling our waters when it got low. This is a great place to wind down whether you just want some food and drinks on you're own after work or if you got a small party to chat with, volume is not too loud. Being Italian I was nervous that the Italian and American guests would not feel comfortable or have complaints due to Italian halls and Russian halls being different. But in fact it was quite the opposite. So many people of all ages on my side actually called after the party and today as well as telling us during the party that it was the best event they had ever attended.
