Spaceous, great place to have family functions and social gatherings. The ambiance is very cool.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS VENUE!!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! This has got to be the worst experience I have ever had with any rental space. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I rented this space for the repast for my mother's funeral. The funeral home gave me the recommendation. Since I had a very short window in which to plan the funeral, I decided to go with the recommendation. I went to the venue and there was no one there. I called the number and a gentleman answered, he told me to hold on and someone would be with me shortly. We had no further conversation before he put me on hold. I was on the phone for quite some time and then decided to hang up since I saw two women approach and I thought one of them may have been the owner. It turns out they were also looking for a venue. A few minutes later a woman called me back asking if I was still interested in renting the space. I said yes. Her name was Aida. She told me to wait, she would be at the venue shortly. She arrived after a few minutes, took us inside and showed us the place. It was a nice space. She informed me that inside could hold 200 people and if that was not enough, the outside could accommodate an additional 40 people. I thought it sounded great and went to their office to finalize things. Once in the office, I was told that it would cost $3500 for the rental. I agreed and offered to pay with my debit card. Aida told me that it was better for me to pay with cash. I said I did not have enough cash on me but would go to the bank to get the rest. I gave her $300 as a deposit before I left for the bank so that she could see that I was serious about renting the hall. While I am at the bank getting cash, I get a call from Aida asking me if her boss spoke with me previously (during the 30 seconds when he answered my initial call to tell me to hold on), I said no. She said well the price is $5,500. I was floored, I said I was just in your office and you told me $3,500! I told her I was not paying anymore. She tried to haggle with me and I said no. I should have gone with my gut and gone back to get my $300 and cancel the arrangement right there. Anyway, she said ok and we went back to pay the balance. She asked me how many table and I said 20. On the contract it was divided by 10 round and 10 rectangle and 2 tables for the food. This was on the Monday before my mother's funeral. Let's fast forward to the day before my mother's funeral, Friday May 9th at 8:30pm. I get a call from Ida saying that they do not have enough chairs and could I downsize the amount of people I was having. I could not believe what I was hearing. In addition to the grief I was dealing with because of the passing of my mother, and the other stress from planning a funeral, here comes this woman, with no regard to what she is asking me. How do you downsize for a funeral repast ? Should I have started calling people that night to tell them not to come? I'm just at a loss of how any business owner can see that it's ok to do that. I told her to call Henry so we could speak with him. She called me back to tell me Henry would speak with me in the morning, the morning of my mother's funeral. I said absolutely not, he has to speak with me tonight and that my mother's funeral started at 9 am the next morning and I would not be speaking with anyone at that time. After some back and forth, Henry finally called and I spoke with him. I told him that it was extremely unprofessional for them to call me at the last minute to tell me that they did not have enough chairs to accommodate the 200 guests that I would be having. He assured me that all of the chairs were there and he would make it work. Needless to say, when the woman I hired to decorate the tables came to set up the morning of the funeral, she informed me that there were only 12 tables set up. She took a video of it for me. At that point I asked a cousin of mine to make some calls and tell some of the people coming to the repast to not come since we were unable to accommodate them. How utterly embarrassing for me and my family. I went to the office to deal with the matter the Monday after the funeral. I told them that I should receive some kind of compensation or reimbursement for them not being able to fulfil their end of the contract. Henry initially denied that there were not enough tables and chairs and then told me that he would need to look at the camera footage to see what the story was. I tried to reach out to him and Aida several times and there has been no response. The next step is court. So if you value your money, PLEASE DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. They lack any semblance of integrity. You as a customer deserves better. And imagine, this is a man who is running for Queens Borough President. If you don't have integrity or ethics in your business practices, how would you expect him to have it as Borough President?! Integrity is ingrained in the fiber of our core, you Henry Ike have shown you have none of that. read more

I gave 2 stars for the actual location and the amount of space which is all they have to offer. If you do not care about customer service or being in any type of contact with them after you book then go ahead and book here, if not RUN. The sales woman is very pushy and will relentlessly call you starting from the day after you view the space to try to urge you to book. These people do not care about accommodating you AT ALL. This is a hospitality business and the owner is a politician, nothing hospitable about the service. They do not have amenities for your food so be sure to have enough space for ample sterno set ups. They didn't even have a fridge initially which we were promised would be installed well before our event and it was not until a day before which was a struggle bc they reneged on the fridge the week of the event. There seems to be no communication between who ever is in the office and the person showing the space or the people they have helping set up tables etc. When I got there to set up, the tables were the wrong size and in the wrong layout, from there the man in charge literally yelled at me saying that wasn't what was in the contract. This set us back an hour for setup which they only give 2 to begin with and I cant understand why as it doesn't look like much cleaning went on you don't need the morning and the whole afternoon to clean. The people setting up do not know how to work the different amenities there, for example the TVs weren't playing our slideshow and no one there knew how to fix it so there was an error message on the screen all night. One of the workers who stayed during the event was dressed in street clothes roaming around my party with a drink in his cup and huge plates of food , at one point toward the end of the night he asked me for a piece of cake with a blunt hanging out of his mouth. I had to ask someone to turn the lights down low and at some point shortly after they were on again. At no point until the party was over did the owner bother to reveal himself I had never spoken to him despite requesting to multiple times. My deposit was NOT returned the Friday after the event with no explanation why. There is no parking they tried to say there was 10 spaces in the back at a fee of $300 which they waived for us bc I begged, but really its 4 spaces. At 5k to rent this space a measly lil parking space in the back should be included as it costs them NOTHING. The ice machine was DIRTY so we got our own ice. There were so many flies bc the men bringing in the tables kept the side door open and that's apparently where they keep the garbage which I assume hadn't been taken out from the night before. The floors were sticky and they never wax them, imagine beautiful hardwood never being waxed. Chairs all scratched up which we were told was fixed, a LIE. Bathroom looks nice, but smelled like a pissy project hallway. I had to send someone back to my house to get some scented candles before guests started arriving. After all of this the owner refused to cut us an additional discount for all the mishaps and said he would give us a 10% discount on our next event , AS IF I WOULD EVER SET FOOT IN THAT PLACE AGAIN. Someone came to view the space while we were setting up and no one from the venue showed up. I took that opportunity to advise the woman to not book here. I inquired about having my 60th family reunion at this establishment. The venue could not accommodate the number of people attending our function. The parking or lack of it was also an issue. We went with a different establishment. I get a call 3 different times asking the same question. Did i already find a different venue. As soon as I confirmed that we did , the person hung up on me. This same thing happened 2 other times. I was frustrated and annoyed by this behavior. Finally I couldn't take it on the 3 rd time. I called back and told them hanging up on me because I found another venue was rude and unprofessional. What professional company does this? Not one I want anything to do with. She was very helpful in tending to the client's needs and help to make the event a success. She is a kind and gentle spirited young lady with a bight future ahead. I will definitely recommend this Hall! Went for a event yesterday and it was beautiful. They had a really good DJ and dancers. The bathrooms were really clean. I plan to throw a event next month for my son's birthday. I spoke to the manager and was given a reasonable price for my dates. Looking forward to my future event with them. read more

I would definitely plan my next event at Ike's Grand Hall! I attended the grand opening event and it was incredible. The ambiance was amazing with the LED lights and chandeliers. The staff was attentive and made sure to check everyone's temperature and provided masks at the door to keep the crowd safe. The space was clean (especially the bathrooms - very important to me). I had my baby shower at IG Hall and it was perfect. The pricing, coordination and flexibility shown by Jazmin as I navigated the process was great. She was always available to ans my question and the event turn out lovely. Everything was smooth because they try to work with you.
