We celebrated our October 2024 wedding at My Kitchen, and they exceeded all our expectations! My Kitchen offers both indoor and outdoor spaces, making it perfect for any season. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff was incredibly attentive. The owners, Rebecca and Yvan, and their team were so helpful and accommodating from start to finish. It can be hard to choose the perfect wedding venue and at first, we weren't sure what to expect. But after our tour, we knew this was the place for us. The outdoor patio area was intimate, warm, and beautiful! We rented space heaters in case, but we didn't end up needing a tent - though My Kitchen can rent a tent if needed. We had the reception outside, with string lights hanging above. It created such a magical atmosphere as the sun set, and the lights added the perfect touch. We had about 40 guests and there was definitely enough space for all of us. Even though parking was limited, guests were able to easily find street parking in the surrounding residential area even on a Saturday night. We hosted our baby shower at My Kitchen this past Spring and could not have asked for a better experience. Their on-site coordinator was incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout the entire process to bring our event to life. She answered all of our questions in a timely manner via email and during our in-person visit as well. She was also very fair in helping us negotiate minor menu changes and space allocations so the event was totally customized to our needs. The day of the party the staff was available to help in setting up our decor, which was a huge relief. They were all also very attentive to our guests, ensuring they were welcomed warmly and had a drink upon arrival. We opted for a family-style brunch and everyone raved about the food. It was absolutely delicious and abundant. Even the freshly baked pastries were incredible. Throughout the event, the coordinator and owner checked in with my frequently to ask if I needed anything which was such a nice touch. On October 1, 2024 we had a networking event at My Kitchen for about 60 people. It could not have gone better from start to finish. Rebecca Sussman is the owner and is just amazing to work with. Her input on what to serve and her and her staff's hospitality that evening were fantastic. The space was redone a few months ago and looks great. The food was delicious and plentiful. Everyone was impressed and glad they discovered a hidden gem in Queens.. but I suspect everyone will know about them soon. We will definitely be back to do another event. My Kitchen catered a 50th anniversary /90th birthday celebration for my sister and brother-in-law and we were just delighted with the event. Came here with my family after we caught a movie at the theater next to My Kitchen and it was truly a delight. The restaurant is an Italian Caribbean fusion which is something I never knew existed before but I am so glad we stumbled upon this restaurant. Italian and Caribbean food are two of my favorites so this restaurant is a dream. On this night I ordered the curried lamb ragu with papparadelle pasta topped with a dollop of lime yogurt. Wow...wow...wow...one of the best pasta dishes I've ever tried in my life. The lamb was very tender and flavorful, pasta was cooked al dente and the curry flavor was so delicious. I could eat this every day if I could. The restaurant is family owned and the owners are so sweet. I will definitely be coming back and making this a regular neighborhood spot! read more

I had a fantastic experience having my baby shower at MyKitchen. The venue is nice especially the outdoor patio area. Food was great, my party raved about the shrimp and grits and fish taco apps. Rebecca was very easy to work with and so accommodating. When my shower had to be rescheduled due to Covid she was so gracious and understanding. During the shower she was very hands on and helped make sure everything ran smoothly. My son recently got married at My Kitchen and I must say that the experience was exceptional. I had accompanied my son and future daughter in law several times to visit the site and discuss various options. From the get go, I felt that Rebecca was very accommodating and professional during this process. We were given various food options and ultimately all of those chosen turned out to be very good and the attendees appeared to agree! Kudos to Yvan and his staff for having everything appear so seamless. The wait staff was very attentive and actually came and took drink orders at the table despite us having an open bar with self service. The bartenders were quick to handle several of us popping up at the bar at the same time. The outdoor area where the ceremony was held as well as the reception before the sit down meal was lovely. It was shaded with gorgeous trees and we were lucky to have had beautiful weather. The indoor area was decorated in a warm and welcoming way and once the meal was over and the music got rockin', the dance floor became the focal point! Under new ownership of Rebecca and Yvan we had the pleasure of hosting two separate events 3 weeks apart from each other. We had a "wine and tapas" cocktail hour(3) baby shower for our daughter. Due to the weather we had the event indoors in the room with the open kitchen and bar to make it more informal. We staged everything beautifully with the guidance of Rebecca. The hor d'oeuvre's we selected where throughly delicious according to the feedback from the guests. I was busy hosting so did not try many of them and not because there was not enough it was plentiful just was too busy talking :-) Kobe beef sliders; crispy chicken sandwiches; tuna tostadas; street corn; chicken empanadas; ricotta toast; brie phyllo wrapped and another that I can't remember were absolutely fabulous. MyKitchen deserves 10 stars. I began booking my wedding June 2016 and Dhanny helped plan it all in two months. She always answered all my questions when I needed her. I booked the CITY HALL PACKAGE, which included hors d'oeuvre, appetizer, main entree, wedding cake, unlimited beverages, and chair covers with ribbons, all for $50 per person. This package also included tax and gratuities. It cannot get any better than this. Chef Joe's food is amazing, with all the love and care he puts into his passion. It is cooked fresh and on the spot, with lots of flavors. They both make you feel like you are family and I'm so happy I had my wedding at My Kitchen. My guests were all impressed with the decor and of course the hospitality of the owners and the staff. They also have a surround sound system, in which you can connect a device to play music. I will definitely be recommending them to all my family and friends. If anyone is looking to have a dinner after getting married at the courthouse this is the place you want to go to. The city hall Package!!! Amazing team! I was looking for a very intimate setting for our wedding. Originally I only wanted to have a large dinner after City Hall but when I heard about their City Hall Package I was amazed! I was able to exchange my vows and have my entire family together in one beautiful space. It was during the week so the prices were super in expensive and Dhanny the owner helped me plan every detail down to the music that was playing when I walked out. The food was great and the service was amazing! The City Hall Package is perfect for the couple who doesn't want to break the bank but they still want to have a memorable beautiful time with their loved ones. I want to thank Dhanny for accommodating us and catered our daughter 1st Birthday. I called a week before and see if were able have their food cater for the party. Dhanny answered the phone and said she was able to do it. I know it was a tight schedule but was so glad and happy. I ordered beef lasagna, Chicken Cutlet Parmesan, Honey chicken wings, Southern fried chicken, eggplant Parmesan and Assorted Vegetable Saute. Day of the party, the food was ready to go. We were running late to pick up because of traffic coming from the Bronx. I called to let Dhanny that we were running late to pick up and she was understanding. The food was still hot. I had my baby shower on May 17th, 2016. I found the venue in a Google search (the results listed it as top 10 baby shower location) and so happy I did. The owner was super attentive from the beginning until the end of the party. The location is well maintained and clean. I love their outdoor space but unfortunately due to rain, couldn't use it. All of my guests loved the space and enjoyed the food. Wait staff was young but helpful and catered to all the guest. During and after our wedding, our guests kept saying how perfect everything was. That was due in large part to Dhanny, Chef Joe, and My Kitchen. From the first inquiry email to the last goodbye on our wedding day, Dhanny was a breeze and a pleasure to work with as the event coordinator. She knows weddings, and she knows how to guide brides through the process. Dhanny provided us with many helpful ideas and good common-sense advice. She also made sure that everyone and everything moved along smoothly for the ceremony and reception. The space is beautifully kept and perfect for a more intimate wedding or event. It is decorated in a clean neutral way that would work with almost any style, and it does not need a lot of extra decoration to make it pretty. All we really had to bring in were centerpieces/table accents. The reception package included chair covers and sashes as well as table runners. We had our ceremony in the lovely backyard on a chilly but sunny day in March. Cocktails and dinner were inside, and our guests felt cozy and comfortable. Chef Joe's hors d'oeuvres and dinner were a hit with the crowd. The servers were patient and professional. As I hope is obvious at this point in the review, we highly recommend My Kitchen to any couple planning a wedding! We recently had our wedding at My Kitchen on 03/09/2018. The wedding went perfect, it really went above anything we would've imagined. Dhanny, the event manager was amicable and helpful on our special day. From the moment we walked in to see the venue we feel in love and knew I could trust Dhanny with this important day. Her husband, Joe who is also the chef at My Kitchen was welcoming and made us feel comfortable. Dhanny was in constant communication with us in the 3 months that we planned it and helped us along the way with recommendations and ideas to make the night fit our personalities. Any time I had a question, I emailed/called and got a reply quickly. It was our first place we went to look at and we knew right there talking to Dhanny that this would be the place to celebrate with our family and friends. The room was bigger than expected we had a total of 62 guest, not including the vendors (Caricaturist/DJ/Buffet style) and everyone felt comfortable. We brought in our décor in the day before (center pieces, welcome sign, seating chart, seating name cards, card box, signs.. etc, It was alot) and the day of, everything was put together perfectly. We got appetizers for the guest for the 30-45 minutes until we arrived and by the time we arrived there was barley anything left, everyone loved it. We had buffet style serving, the food was ready, hot and tasted amazing! I received only great commentary from all the guest on how great the food was and how beautiful and together our wedding was. When I found My Kitchen, I was already jaded due to the cancellation of the previous venue, four weeks before our wedding. Dhanny is the sweetest. She and her team made our day absolutely incredible. Calming all of my nerves and not having us lift a finger. The staff is professional and kind, and the food is out of this world! All of my 15 in-person guests had an amazing time and felt especially safe as My Kitchen follows strict COVID 19 Guidelines. Even having the option of entertaining my guests on Zoom wasn't an issue. My wedding was on 4/22,/2017, and it was a dream come true. I will always remember the first day my Husband and I walked into My Kitchen in May of 2016. We were looking for a wedding venue that felt warm; too many venues had a cold feel to us. We have even been to weddings receptions that felt generic and impersonal. We walked in and loved the look; then we met Dhanny. She has to be one of the most caring people I have ever met. She greeted us with love, even though we had just met. She gave us a rundown of what to expect when venue shopping. We were right at the beginning stages, and she wanted us to be prepared. She never tried to sell us. She stepped away for a moment and my then fiance and I looked at each other and agreed right away, this was the place. Either way, we continued to shop around (as Dhanny also advised)! Looking at other venues only confirmed that My Kitchen was the way to go. My Husband and I had said, if we had a house, that's where we'd want to host a wedding. The best way to describe My Kitchen, is an extension of your own home. Almost a year of planning and Dhanny helped us every step of the way. She offered advice, tips, words of encouragement, and lots of hugs! Now I can't fail to mention that after booking the venue, we had dinner their twice. The food was unbelievable! We were tempted to have many more dinners there, but forced ourselves to refrain until after the wedding. Our wedding was last Saturday. It was a dream come true. Each moment was perfect and we were well taken care of. I never looked at the time, or had to worry about the vendors, or if everything was going as planned. Dhanny had it covered. I found this place while looking for a location to have a Celebration of Life for my dad. We wanted to have it in Forest Hills because he grew up there. Dhanny was very helpful and helped us provide exactly the experience we wanted. The location was convenient, the space was bright and a perfect size for our group of about 50 people to mingle. We asked for finger food so people could eat and talk and wander around. The selection of appetizers was perfect. Everything was tasty and well served. The service was great, with two waiters serving drinks, nobody was wanting. I appreciate the skill and experience provided by Dhanny, Joe, and their courteous staff. Where to begin... The first time my fiancé and I walked into My Kitchen we were welcomed by Dhanny and had a wonderful time chatting with her. Once we took a full tour of the establishment we fell in love with the outdoor space. We took some time to check out similar places in the neighborhood and after a while it was pretty clear we needed to return to My Kitchen. Dhanny is an intelligent and charismatic woman who has been in the business a long time and is the best at what she does. Behind the scenes, her husband "the chef" is the man who wins everyone over with his delicious food and charm while serving his guests. The planning process was very fun and constructive. The pricing was very reasonable. But the experience: Unforgettable. Needless to say, our wedding was a success! Sept 30th, 2017. The weather was brisk but bearable for the outdoor ceremony. The appetizers and sangria bar was a hit amongst the guests who defrosted as they ate and drank while mingling. The dinner menu was hand selected by my wife and I and we did not regret a single choice we made. All the food was delicious and our guests really enjoyed it till the last bite. We danced and had cake till it was last call at the open bar.. We were able to do all of those things thanks to all of the hard work put on by the staff at My Kitchen. If we had a choice, we would do it all over again. read more
