I took my 2015 Chrysler minivan into them starting in November have spent over $3000 plus with them first I initially took them my vehicle to get my spark plugs done and a tune up and then they proceeded to tell me I needed a transmission flush and all this so I got that done. Within 2 and a 1/2 weeks later all the time I have multiple leaks I'm talking about multiple leaks in my vehicle!!! My radiator is messed up Line to my transmission are messed up. My timing covers leaking. My transmission cooler lines are leaking. My oil cooler is leaking. I ended up having to take it to a dealership Because I no longer trust you guys in your work!!! They're telling me that there's no way all of this would just break at 1 time. When I brought it to you guys it was running fine it just needed a tune up in a flush nothing was leaking on it whatsoever I get it back from you guys and I have multiple multiple issues. All you're trying to do is get more and more money from me as a woman not being a mechanic. I told them that I had an extended warranty they took the number down and the claimed number 4 of them to be able to call then to come to find out the second time when I bring it in and I keep asking WHY they haven't seen if any of the work that's done was covered or not oh we we Don't use that type of Vehicle warranty that should have been told to meet the first time I brought it to you guys I just assumed that you had called so I kept asking and to find out you never even called them. I would never trust to tell any of my family members to come here or any of my friends. The whole reason why I came here is because I thought you guys were a family owned and I wanted to keep it into the community. I was so so wrong. I should have just kept taking it to a dealership. However the technician and mechanic that you had work on my vehicle destroyed it beat it and destroyed my vehicle and cost me now over $5,000 more almost. Hopefully with going to the dealership my vehicle warranty will help me bring some of this costs down still right before the holiday season and you guys decide to destroy someone's vehicle just because you think it's cute she doesn't know everything about a vehicle let's get over on her! read more

I just can't say enough good things about Dave and Mike Jensen and their amazing team (including Roger!:). A true generational family business with many decades of experience (and we've been taking our cars there for a couple of those decades!), these guys are always honest and incredibly thorough. On one occasion, they researched the repair they were doing on my Terrain and discovered an old service alert that meant I could possibly get reimbursed from GMC for some of the repair. They helped me submit the paperwork and remained available throughout the process until my refund was successfully processed. They didn't have to do that, I already paid them. But that's the kind of personal service and attention you get from them. And you can trust them, which is golden. Jensen Service is like having a primary care physician for your cars. When I wrote my first review, I worked a rotating shift and would be able to get my car serviced on weekdays when I was off work. Now that I work Monday-Friday, it is not as easy to schedule service. The owners are very helpful and are upfront about their prices and repairs needed. I have never been "upsold" on a repair from them. The shop has wifi, however the waiting area is fairly small with only 3-4 chairs. No vending machines, so either bring your own drink or walk about 2 blocks to the nearest convenience store. I will note that I found it very strange that all the positive reviews for Jensen Service and Diagnostic are not shown as suggested reviews. They are a great family run business and while they may not have the lowest prices in town, they do great work and I trust their work completely. read more

I have owned 2 vehicles and taken both to Jensen Service & Diagnostic. This is a small family owned business. The brothers who own it are very upfront about repairs needed and the cost. They have even told me what is a priority and what needs to be done, but not urgently. The owners explain things in a manner that people can understand and have always been upfront about costs and the time it would take for the repair. The only change I would suggest would be a bit later hours in the evening to be able to pick up my vehicle after work or weekend hours. They have great service and are very helpful. I would recommend this to anyone. read more

Let me start by saying I did the dumbest thing any consumer could do, I let these guys know I was in a hurry to get me vehicle repaired. Needed AC fixed for weekend travels. I don't normally have time to call during business hours, so I sent an email and was really impressed by how quickly they replied... Although now I know why, I was a walking dollar sign to them (again, dumb consumer mistake). On Wednesday they told me "No problem". I was really impressed with how polite and professional everyone I spoke to seemed to be. I was thinking, "Wow, maybe I have finally found a good and honest mechanic to work with!" - I know right... I dropped my car off Thursday morning to a polite and smiling manager. First off, $62.00 diagnostic fee, which is not waived should you decide to have them fix any issues. Ok, I can handle that for the sake of getting things done quickly. I then received the dreaded call later that morning... The AC belt had come off due to a faulty tensioner and the system was low on freon. So $62.00 to tell me the obvious, great very easy fixes right? Hold on, then came the classic mechanic up sell. I also needed a new serpentine belt and my radiator could use a cleaning. All of this was going to cost me just short of $600!!! Now they knew they had me in a spot because I needed the repairs done by the weekend. I was blown away by the price (not in a good way). The cost they charge for parts is nothing short of criminal. * Serpentine Belt: $78.96 (AutoZone: $36.49) * AC Belt: $38.40 * AC Belt Tensioner: $77.70 (Belt & Tensioner at AutoZone: $39.09) * Temperature Door Actuator: $92.45 (AutoZone: $46.99) So just on those 4 parts alone they were at $287.51. The price at AutoZone for the same 4 parts $122.77. Ouch. Labor cost to install those 4 parts and clean the radiator while in there: $421.60. A novice ought to be able to google their way through these fixes in around 4-5 hours so I am guessing to took them 1-3 hours so we're looking at $100 - $200/hour labor cost. I am giving them a pass on the freon flush and recharge because that is something I am not good at doing so I am happy to pay to have it done. They charged $40 for parts and $86.80 for labor on that task. That price actually seems pretty reasonable. I also forgot to mention... after I reluctantly agreed to the $600 fix, they called me back after a few hours and said that the Temp Door Actuator would also need replaced... Now they were twisting the knife, how could I say no when I already invested $600, and needed to have a working AC...? To add insult to injury, they then said the parts guy brought the wrong part and my vehicle would not be ready until sometime on Friday. By that point nothing they said would have surprised me. So Friday I picked up my vehicle and paid almost the same price it cost to replace my home AC (ok half the cost of my home AC, just short of $1000). The AC now works great, and they very politely took my money and offered no apology for fleecing me and taking a day longer than promised. I wish I would have read some of the reviews on here first. More important I wish I would have read their replies to the reviews. This is where Jensen's attitude toward their customers really shows. So don't be a dummy like me. I share so that you will hopefully avoid making the same mistake as me. While they seem to be nice guys, they are not above taking advantage when you are vulnerable. Just make sure to shop around if you can. read more

While just moving to Omaha we needed repairs to our car and since we were recommended to Jensen Service & Diagnostic we mistakenly did not get a second opinion. Our bill came to over $980 and we had a feeling that we may have been overcharged. We discussed the bill with two family member mechanics and also with our old mechanic (who we trusted where we lived previously). All three separately outlined the prices of the parts, labor and claimed we were charged for a service that doesn't need to be done to a new part. There was about a $250 difference. We went back to Jensen Service & Diagnostic to discuss what we felt were overcharges and gave them an opportunity to make things right. We felt crediting us back $250 would be fair. The brothers of Jensen Service & Diagnostic were extremely defensive, unprofessional and claimed everything they put in our car was "premium" and therefore costs more for parts and labor. They blamed us for moving forward with getting the repairs done when we knew the estimate. Yes, that is our fault for not getting a second opinion, however they took advantage of our lack of knowledge on appropriate costs/charges for parts/labor. We were extremely disappointed in the way they handled the situation and since then have heard others speak of their overcharged "premium" parts/labor. We will never go back. read more

DO NOT take your car to Jensen Service near 120th and Pacfic. They are totally overpriced and will rip you off. I thought my transmission was going bad in my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee so on Monday, 10/16, I took my Jeep to Certifed Transmission near 108th and Maple. They throughly checked over my Jeep and determined that the transmission was working fine but the "Throttle Position Sensor" was bad and needed to be replaced. They do not replace these sensors at their location and Mike at Certified Transmission recommended Jensen Service. What a horrible mistake on my part to trust his recommendation. I had paperwork from Mike stating that the issue with my Jeep was the "Throttle Position Sensor", I told this to Jensen Service and showed them the paperwork. They still said they had to recheck my Jeep all over again and charged me $119.00 to tell me the "Throttle Position Sensor" was bad. I already knew this. I needed the Jeep fixed so told them to complete the work which cost me another $225.00 to fix the Sensor. The total bill was $354.00 and change. I wanted to get a second opinion so I went to Keith's Auto Repair Service on 90th and Fort and showed them the SAME paperwork from Certified Transmission clearly stating that my "Throttle Position Sensor" was bad. They took a few minutes to look up the cost and quoted me a total price of $131.00 to fix my Jeep. The same exact work at Jensen Service cost me $354.00. WHY such a HUGE difference on the SAME work??? DO NOT take your car to Jensen as they are way overpriced. They do not care about charging customers a fair price and will rip you off big time. We were recommended here to fix our truck. At first they were very nice. They charge a $109 Diagnostic fee, which I thought was very unusual. Usually, repair shops find out what is wrong, let you know and ask you to approve service. $500 later, we picked up car only to find out it still was not fixed. We called them to see if they would repair it. They immediately got defensive and blamed us for giving them the wrong information about the truck's problems. Ummm, we are not mechanics and we paid for their professional diagnostic and repair. They then said, we could bring truck in and this time they would only charge a $50 diagnostic fee, but it may not catch the problem as they were going to only do the lesser diagnostic. In my opinion, they are the classic con mechanics that you should avoid. read more

I had a great, uneventful experience with these guys. My dad has used them for a couple of years and suggested I take my Subaru to them for routine maintenance (timing belt & water pump replacement) and they did not disappoint. My car was fixed in a reasonable time frame and the men were courteous and friendly. Their price was lower than any of the other shops I called. They did not try to sell me any B.S. They fixed exactly what I needed. I would advise anyone looking for a good mechanic to give these guys a call! The only thing I would change would be their name, because everytime I told people I was taking my car to Jensen, they looked at me like I was an idiot because they assumed I meant Jensen Tire and Auto. Mike, it's a bad sign when you have to write your own good reviews. $500 for a set of brake pads is a rip off, and throwing in an oil change and air filter for the bargain price of $49.99 doesn't make up for it. You may have been in business for a long time, but I'd hate to see what you charge the little old ladies. Strangely, I'm leaving a 4-star review when Jensen Service never serviced a vehicle of mine. I did schedule a service with them, dropped my car off the night before the appointment, and lo and behold my car was stolen out of their lot. So why am I leaving a 4-star review? They were courteous, helpful, sympathetic. They helped me track down the security footage. They assisted with the law enforcement They followed up with me several times to make sure that insurance claims were going as expected. I came to this shop because a friend of mine recommended them. I had went to another business to get my car looked at and they quoted me at needing $2500 worth of stuff fixed. I simply could not afford that so I came to Jensen for a second opinion. I was very impressed with how honest and helpful Mike was. He informed me that I didn't need the list of stuff they were saying I needed. He told me what needed to be fixed and I got an oil change and a couple other things. My total was $250. A very small price to pay and I didn't feel like I was getting taken advantage of. I am so thankful my friend told me about them. I took my truck in to have them diagnose a vibration that I was having after another shop replaced the U-joints and balance the driveshaft. They were honest and didn't bad mouth the other shop only explained what it would take to repair the issue - they replaced the u-joints an fixed the problem. I have been taking our family cars here for 25 years. The two brothers (owners) Mike and Dave Jensen take a personal interest in all our cars and take great pride in their work. It is nice talking to the owner, service writer and mechanic, all in one person. They do a good job and I have had very few issues. Don't look for them to be cheap, but they won't do work that isn't needed and they will explain everything to you. Their continued integrity is nice to see in this industry. read more
