We just completed a 3 room remodel (kitchen/laundry/bathroom) and are super happy with the results. Permitted with our city. We had 2 walls removed to extend our galley kitchen, giving us more room and allowing the design to be more functional. Stripped down to the studs, insulation, fresh walls, tile flooring, custom cabinets, clean ceiling, electric, plumbing, the works. Sergio and his team helped us overcome a few hurdles and made our journey as smooth as possible. You know how some kids don't play well together? Well, OSH plays very well with others. Other who mess-up, other contractors, other's options. Sergio is always on your side for design, functionality and safety. When we had unique requests they did all the could to accommodate us. The team was always on time, friendly and professional. Actually they were very fun to work with. Thank you to The OSH Family. God bless.

I finally found the best contractor and just had an amazing experience building an 880sqft ADU. From the first day I discussed the project with Sergio the owner, I felt a sense of ease and trust. Segio is a standup guy and a solid business owner. He has excellent knowledge of all types of remodels and new construction. The proposal was clear and straightforward. His estimate was fair and competitive. Also, there were no change-orders for the project. Sergio hates change-orders just as much as we all do. I chose to add a few things throughout the project and his charges were more than fair. He even did some extra things at no charge. As far as the craftsmanship, the team at OSH is excellent from the crew that built the foundation to the plumbing, electrical, drywall, finishes and painting. OSH has a good size team and self performs almost everything, which gives you peace of mind and better control over timing, budget and quality. Now here is the icing on the cake, OSH Construction completed the job ahead of schedule. Sergio provided a schedule that was already very aggressive. I honestly didn't think it is even possible. The entire house was built in less than 5 months. They were often waiting on us to make decisions and select finishes. They are so fast and efficient while providing the best quality craftsmanship. If you hire OSH Construction, have all your ducks in a row and you will have your remodel completed in no time. I highly recommend OSH Construction and Sergio in particular as a contractor. You will rarely find someone like him these days. A man of his word, who cares about his clients, his employees and does the right thing all the time.

We had a vision, and Mike brought it to life!…read more We've tackled our fair share of remodel projects over the years, but nothing quite prepared us for the leap into a complete, ground-up ADU build. We knew this wasn't a project to hand off to just anyone, we needed a true expert, someone who could steer us through every twist and turn with confidence. That's exactly what we found in Mike. From our very first meeting, Mike had a calm, reassuring presence that told us we were in good hands. He listened closely to our vision, asked the right questions, and laid out a clear path forward that immediately put our minds at ease. And trust us, our minds needed easing, we came to him with a steady stream of nervous, sometimes repetitive questions, and he never once made us feel like a burden. He answered every single one with patience, warmth, and genuine reassurance. Communication was a true highlight of working with Mike. He kept us updated at every stage, so we always knew exactly where things stood. What could have been an incredibly stressful, all-consuming process instead felt manageable, even exciting. He also took the reins on coordinating with city inspectors throughout the entire build, handling all the back-and-forth so we didn't have to lift a finger. That alone lifted a massive weight off our shoulders. And the icing on the cake? He finished the entire project ahead of the estimated timeline, without ever cutting corners on quality or care. If you're on the fence about a big build like this, let us save you the trouble: call Mike. He turned what could have been an overwhelming experience into one we're genuinely grateful for, and the final result speaks for itself. We couldn't recommend him more highly.

Mike applies his experience well with smart changes to the plans that we wouldn't have thought of, and was flexible when we had questions or changes to make. Mike and all of his crews were professional, courteous, and very accommodating (we lived in the house during construction!). Overall we're very happy with Mike as a contractor and with the completed addition!

He also offered thoughtful recommendations along the way and was always willing to share his input when we needed it. Thankfully we came across KV builders on yelp and we entrusted our long awaited bathroom shower remodel with Kenny! After 6 long years of using our master bathroom shower, we realized the poor workmanship of the house flipper that sold us our house. Tiles not lined up, water leaking out the shower door, water leaking through the grout, grout cracking, water pooling in a corner of the shower because it wasn't properly sloped. It got to the point where what once was a pretty shower became a nasty place to shower in. Kenny was fast to respond, professional, and took his job seriously. He also had a punctual team who worked hard and was attentive to details. We were more than impressed with the outcome of our shower. They nailed our "accent wall with shower niche". Not only is our shower pretty to look at, but it's functioning exactly how we want it to. Thanks Kenny!

We were looking for a garage "touch up" + front yard update. Project manager Josef was excellent in bringing in his partners (designers, foreman, etc.) to ensure from the design to finish we were collaborating and satisfied with the end result. For the garage, we had it drywalled (no insulation), installation of a attic ladder (bought from Home Depot) to make use of a pre-built storage area, updated garage door and exterior lighting. Front yard included adding extra pavement to be able to park two cars on the driveway (we have the pre WW II one car driveway) but looks like a part of the front yard design, installation of artificial grass (YAY), redo of the front porch to include redoing the porch ceiling with a bare wood look, and installation of a pathway to the front steps. We had 3 home improvement projects in the last couple of years (including this project) and WTG Builders was the best in terms of responsiveness, communication, and setting expectations. Perhaps I'm more wiser too about projects but I appreciated Project Manager Josef's communication and updates and the various trade teams were fantastic. I also took into consideration their work in the local Long Beach/Lakewood area which I think is important. I would use them again and recommend them for similar projects!

Where is the 10-star button?!? I cannot recommend Max highly enough. After firing the design…read morebuilder I originally engaged, Max stepped in to complete a full remodel of our little HB cottage. What was once a tired and dated 2-bedroom house is now an adorably modern and expansive 1-bedroom, complete with spa-like bathroom and vaulted ceilings. Throughout the process, Max was responsive and transparent, and was regularly onsite to supervise his subs. He was happy to provide input but also happy to let me make my own choices and decisions. Unbelievably, the project came in on time and on budget.

Our electric cooktop and hood broke many months ago, and we thought that replacing it with a gas…read morecooktop and new hood would be straightforward. It turns out that was not true. One plumber could install a gas line only, another plumber could install a gas line and the gas cooktop but not the hood, and an appliance installation technician could not install the cooktop because he could not cut into the existing granite top. So I found Max of MRI Construction and Remodeling on Yelp, and he said that he could do the work within that original scope -- cooktop, hood, and gas line -- but that we should anticipate a backup plan in case the granite cracked during installation. Because we plan to live in this house for as long as possible, we decided to go through a full kitchen renovation. We had a prior experience with another general contractor who was impossible to get a hold of and who could not ensure the quality of the subcontractors he hired, and interviewed another general contractor who gave us the impression that we would have to engage with suppliers and subcontractors more than seemed feasible. We are happy to say that we just finished our kitchen renovation last week! And it was finished a week earlier than scheduled. We are thankful to Max and his team of subcontractors! We are really happy with the final kitchen, given how much we cook at home. And surprisingly the process was easy despite its size and time of 6 weeks. Max has the strengths and qualities you want for your construction projects: he's incredibly responsive, honest and communicative, and willing and able to troubleshoot issues that come up, as they invariably do, both small and large. He makes recommendations if you ask and gives you options for decisions for which there are too many options. He works with an amazing group of subcontractors who are experts in their craft. There was an exception with one subcontractor but Max was able to get that course-corrected so that the project finished strong. We appreciate his integrity and his willingness to ensure that the project meets your needs and expectations. We are grateful that we found Max on Yelp and for being able to work with him on a kitchen that we love and also within budget!! Thank you, Max and MRI Construction!!

So I called a few other roofers to come and bid on the project. Kenny Jr came out and quickly detected the issue and gave me a detailed project plan. I decided to go with KLC mostly because I found Kenny to be very reliable and knowledgeable. Him and his team worked with me through this complicated project that involved some wood repair by them, re-stuccoing by my contractor, and them coming back to finish and seal the roof. I had a lot of anxiety about the project but Kenny's diligence amd collaborative spirit made it all go so smoothly. The office (Elsa) is also great and very flexible, making sure that the project works well with my schedule. After the repair was done, we did some water test, but saw some water inside. Kenny came back to inspect and found that its not the roof leaking, but the chimney wall, which he fixed right then and there. We water tested again and no leak :) I have worked with a lot of contractors, but KLC is definitely top tier in terms of reliability, attention to details, flexibility, and diligence.
