I worked with…read moreArtsy Geek to build out my business story and brand guidelines, including a "vocabulary," logo, color palette, and value statements. I get complimented all the time on my visual presentation, but more than just that the very act of going through Artsy Geek's brand and self exploration process was integral to my developing a strong business brand that's separate from but true to my personal self. I'm a realtor and I actually loathe self-marketing, so I wanted to work with Jen, Michael, and Becca to find a way to create a distinct professional brand that communicates who I am and what I offer without losing my entire life to what really should be a job with boundaries. Artsy Geek absolutely nailed it; they distilled everything I am and want to be professionally into a handful of core assets, and it legitimately changed how I approach my business. Worth every hour and dollar, they're so good at really hearing you and translating what you say into "product," and they're funny and smart and caring and generally great people to boot. Thank you so much for everything, I'll be back if and when I'm ready for new collateral or if I ever go in a new direction brand-wise!

I got by for a while making some simple stuff on my own, or hiring online gigs but nothing ever really looked polished and professional, and there was a noticeable lack of continuity. Since I started working with Artsy Geek, who really took the time to understand my brand, voice, customer, and vision, my whole brand identity has come to life! I've had eye-catching sidewalk and building signs made, luxe door hangers and postcards, clean and crisp print collateral, and outstanding social media graphics that all elevate my studio brand and reflect what my business represents. There's something that goes deeper for me than just having good-looking branding. Every time I see the work that Artsy Geek has done for me, it fills me with a sense of pride in my business and hope for its growth. I feel so confident when I'm able to leverage images that spark and communicate what I love most about my business. Having that attitude helps me stay in the mindset I need to be in as a small business owner.

I have hired Alisa several times over the past year for projects on branding & identity, print, and email design. Whenever I have an idea for a new project, she always asks the right questions, to help keep me focused on the intent behind a particular marketing piece, or the idea I'm looking to convey with the campaign. Many designers will just take your content and make it look pretty, but Alisa always reads my marketing pieces and I can tell she thinks holistically about my business identity when designing. She will often give me great constructive criticism when she feels a piece strays too far from my brand. I love having her perspective, and her suggestions are always on point. Alisa has a great eye, as she's truly an accomplished artist as well. Her designs for my business are clean and modern, with just a touch of whimsy; exactly what I asked for. I've received dozens of compliments on my new logo and my email marketing. My husband and I even hired Alisa to design our wedding invitations and programs. She really does it all! They were AWESOME, totally unique, and fit the feel of our wedding to a "T." We printed one of the invitation pieces on wood veneer and she helped us to find vendors for the wood piece and coordinate all the printing. As anyone who has planned a wedding knows, anytime you can hand off details to someone you trust, it is a blessing. Looking back on the wedding details, our invitations and programs were some of my favorite pieces, because they were very personal. I'm so glad we decided to create these pieces with Alisa, and didn't order a template-based piece from a stock website! Regarding the practical stuff, like her turnaround time and her fees; she's very easy to work with. I can tell you from experience (and seeing other quotes), that what Alisa charges is very reasonable. She is always respectful of my deadlines, and usually finishes ahead of schedule. She's even made same day revisions for me, when I was under the gun. While, I don't expect this all the time, she's always come through when I really needed it. Next up for me is a re-design of my business website, and I'm truly looking forward to this as another opportunity to work with Yes Design Shop!
