Today I had to make a special stop on Monday for a make up appointment. On Mon, We'd, and Friday you can have the most incredible snuggly pug named Clark sit on your lap during your appointment and offer comfort. In fact I don't even need them to be a dentist anymore. If I could sit in the chair, listen to an playlist, sucking gas and petting this puppers it might be as close to heaven as you can find in this bleak and fading world. MAH Horrible experience…read more I would like to preface this by stating that I have previously had a very positive opinion of Dr. Cohrs personally. I firmly believe his bedside manner, attention to detail, and dental work are truly impeccable, and I appreciated his clinical care during my previous visits over the years. During my most recent visit though, things had changed. I was told by the hygienist, Lyndi, that a panoramic X-ray was "required by law" to maintain their license, with implied risk if refused. No such Michigan law exists--regulations cover equipment safety only, not mandating patient imaging (per LARA-Licensing and Regulatory Affairs and Michigan Dental Association). My low-risk profile (excellent hygiene, no cavities in years, healthy gums, recent normal bitewings) showed no clinical need. ADA 2026 guidelines require panoramic only when necessary, to minimize radiation, not routinely. When I raised the issue feeling misled about Timberview losing their license, the hygienist called in the office manager who was beyond rude, defensive, interrupted repeatedly by obscuring and pivoting to "our standard of care," then asked my opinion of their standard. I said it felt revenue-driven rather than evidence-based. She immediately told me to leave. This was gaslighting: obscuring the obvious falsehood with vague "patient care standards" and punishing honest feedback with abrupt dismissal. Deceptive communication and unprofessional handling erode trust. Patients deserve transparency, not pressure and deflection. Unfortunately the unprofessional conduct of the office manager--particularly her repeated interruptions, twisting of the initial misleading statement, dismissive attitude, and abrupt decision to ask me to leave after I shared my honest opinion--has eroded my trust in the practice as a whole. Despite my high regard for Dr. Cohrs' skills and care, this experience will unfortunately prevent me from returning. Perhaps the business/name change to Timberview Dental has caused the business to now become profit driven over patient care driven. Be VERY careful about agreeing to unnecessary procedures that are lining their pockets.

No, they used all my ins. for the entire year, plus $500, For doing nothing but cleaning and x-rays. & Consultation. For work they never did cuz I was told to go somewhere they take my ins. After they used it all.(thank you God) & Yes 5 years later, I'm still stunned by my experience here. However the blessing is. I love my new dentist & for less money then they quoted me, for doing work that wasn't necessary, I love my smile and my new dentist. I was able to get some cosmetic work done , for less than I was quoted here for work that apparently didn't need to be done. Thank you for sending me off to find a good dentist! I'm gonna give them 1 star for that reason.
