My child was severely physically, mentally & verbally bullied at this school in KINDERGARTEN. A few…read moreexamples: his teacher at circle time (everyone sitting down) made my son stand up and reprimanded him for something he did in line outside before coming in. I personally witnessed him physically pushed to the ground and punched by a group of kids, the yard teacher said " what did you do to make them hurt you?". He came home with scratches so bad on his body that he thought he had a sunburn. I told the principal and there was no action, only offered a school councilor "three times a week" for my KINDERGARTNER. This is just the tip of the iceberg for how incredibly awful this school, its leadership & the faculty were. I moved him schools & he has been doing amazing ever since. DO NOT put your child in this school. I don't have enough words to express on here how much of a genuine nightmare it was, and this experience set my son up to hate & resent school, created a deep sense of self hatred & self consciousness that has stuck with him. BEWARE, this is not a no-tolerance or safe space for children to learn in.

But the registration process is disorganized and frustrating. Further, only having half-day kindergarten is really frustrating when you only find out the Friday before school starts that your kid is in the PM class. And to add salt to that wound, the PM kids have to come to class on Wednesdays at 8:15. This makes it really difficult to set a schedule for your child and only the kids put into the PM class are affected by this. I feel like this certainly will have *some* impact on academics.

The Principal and Vice Principal, the front office staff, the school nurse, and all the teachers ; they constantly try ( and succeed) at finding the best ways to communicate, and be approachable for the parents and students. There are policies and practices for keeping the students safe and accountable. The learning goals are set and worked towards daily. And everyone smiles and is genuinely friendly, so I don't think that'd be possible constantly unless it was a healthy environment. I'm very grateful for the time my son spends there.

No luck, front desk said same thing e-mail would be sent! At this point I'm super upset! long story short, I end up driving to the school district office I met Martha a sweet lady in front desk she got me all I needed right away and even offer to scan and send to my email to facilitate the process. She apologized for others lame communication and lack of work, and went above and beyond to make sure I left with everything I needed! She made me feel she was there to help me and guide me, I kid you not i came in upset and left happy!! This lady deserves a big raise or promotion!! If I could I would give her a big hug!! The principal Mr. Carasko is hands on and is one of the few principals that parents have encountered that uses precise and understanding communication tools. I could go on and on about this school because every family finds this school to be more like family. I love and appreciate all the staff and all the hands on learning they give for the kids. Miss Kara, Miss Wendy (T-K) are the most caring & sweetest teachers my kids have ever had! Miss Waters (3rd) is so sweet & amazing, she had made my daughter love school again! The Principal, Mr. Roekle I can't say enough amazing things about how he has run this school! The amount of care he has taken for our kids, from all the cool special activities they do for kids and parents, he is one of the hardest working Principals ever.! We are so blessed to be a part of such a caring community and faith based schools in the area. The small classes, faith based and care for our kids is the key to the success of these kids for the future. All the staff at CCA should be applauded for all their hard work!

5-year update: We have 3 children attending CCA, and we…read morefeel confident that this is the best place for them emotionally, academically, and spiritually. It feels like family: from drop off to extended care (which is super reliable & affordable). Teachers each have their own personalities, some are super warm, while others are stricter - but they all really try to help every kid. During our 6 years here, we have not experienced any bullying. Actually, every day kids are specifically taught to be kind and supportive to each other, and teachers and the principal get involved (very involved) with any behavior issues immediately. The bad reviews are from a few families that were likely not a good fit from the beginning, even though the school did everything to make them welcome. Over the last few years, the school has grown tremendously, and one thing we'd recommend is that they screen & educate incoming families a bit better.

We love their sports, painting, AP/PM program and teachers. We also hear a lot of amazing stories from other parents. We only hope Empresa can get its Chess Club back soon.
