I only went here from November to June, but i'd say it's a mostly good school. Librarian was kind,…read moreshe would read us books. Nice and big library and playground/field too. Plus teachers were kind and respectful. Math/science teacher was funny and would never hesitate to help me with tests and work, language arts/history teacher challenged us and was funny. Good education. Kids were mostly great too, didn't get bullied once. I guess the only bad things I could say about this school was that at certain times the staff would be a little rude, and we would have to run the mile every Wednesday. Nurse wouldn't let me go home when I went to the nurse because of my bad knee and I could barely walk. Bathrooms were a bit dirty and at times there was no soap... but that was the kindergarten bathroom, haha. Other than that, can't think of anything else that would upset me. Oh yeah, and we got 30 extra minutes of playtime before school ended. Never got too much or too less work. Promotion was fun and organized too. They gave us a little care package for middle school. Good school.

Upon his return home, Kim asked him why he was wearing the sticker. He informed her that "the lunch lady put it on [him] to wear home for [his] parents to see." Interestingly, Preston is eligible for free school lunch, and has received it for the last two years. Segaline told Opposing Views that she was informed that she needed to fill out a new form for this school year so that her son can continue to receive free lunch, which she certainly intends to do. The school planned to send home a note, but places the sticker on students to "make sure (parents) get the message." However, it must be asked whether the school's action can be excused. Is it right to humiliate a child-to expose his family's financial situation-over food? We must ask ourselves what we have become as a nation, when schools are throwing away a child's lunch if he or she does not have the money, and choosing to humiliate children who do not stem from affluence. When we won't feed a hungry child, can we call ourselves civilized?" http://aattp.org/school-sends-low-income-child-home-wearing-lunch-money-please-sticker/

I have had the opportunity to go a couple of times to do interpreting assignments and everything has been smooth, from the check-in time to the end. I felt at home and treated very nicely. One thing that I liked a lot is the name of the 'streets', so cute! The herbs garden is adorable and the whole school exudes care. I can't wait to be called back!

Also when my son was attending this school his teachers were so disrespectful in understanding his especial needs since he has ADHD none of the teacher are capable or had any especial training on working with kids of especial needs . I was surprise to find out they don't have any special needs classes since they are always asking for money for everything whenever they have a chance. There is zero support for the parents unless you are white rich parent, Because I noticed the difference on treatment when my husband picks up our days since he is caucasian and I'm a Latino mom, I don't put out either their nonsense ideas and speak out my mind. All this school cares is about looking good and being first places.. looks more a competition than actually caring for our children's needs. Thank god my daughter is starting in a new school with more diversity .

This…read moreschool was like his second home, and all of the staff knew him, treated him kindly, and were always so encouraging. He was so confident and self assured...and Mr.Ruth was likely one of the best Sped teachers he had besides Mrs. Mini, who we were sad to lose after so many years of great experiences in her class. This school is so much more than just a school. They bring all students and families in and make a real "home" for them - a secondary area where they can feel accepted and supported just as they are. Miss Mayanna in the Health Office was one of Hunter's favorite people, and he talks about her, all of the office staff and the principal, Dieter Swank, constantly. He misses being there, but now he's in a charter school that is k-8, and looks very similar to the uniforms Ivey Ranch wore. It's been a much easier transition there, he only lasted a little less than a month in the Middle School, and he's really flourishing in the full inclusion of the charter school he is in now. He's learning Mandarin there, and does homework without complaint...it's been a metamorphosis that wouldn't have been possible had it not been for the collaborative efforts off all staff involved. I am excited and sad that we had to leave, but Ivery was six of the best years of Hunter's life, and every time we drive by, we talk about how many awesome Memories he had there, and how he loves his new charter school where he's got a 1:1 Aide and fully supported, he is also really doing well in this new setting...and I owe that much to the foundation that was laid in such a positive manner by the staff and volunteers at Ivey Ranch...I wish my oldest would have had such a fantastic place to attend his elementary school year. Ivey Ranch gave him the platform and foundation, and his new charter school is giving him a opportunity to tap into that so he can make his future better and brighter for himself. He's already grown so much, and parents...if you're sending your kiddo to Ivey and might have some concerns - the principal is amazing, and the staff in the front are always happy to be of help. We love Ivey...and it's going to be with us forever, as it helped shape who put responsible young man would become. I can't wait to see what fantastic alumni come from that school, and look back as fondly as our family often does on 6 long and prosperous years at Ivey. We miss you already, but we are so glad you continue to shape and guide the minds of these Young individuals...you're a very special School, with some very outstanding personnel who deserve to know how much they all meant to one little boy who is now an emerging young man...and he is proud of everything he is, is always responsible, for his actions. He is so much better for the time he spent there, and we could not be happier for that experience! Go Ivey!!!

Guess what they did when she was in kindergarten? NOTHING. I had to go to the district by the time she was in 1st grade because it happened the second time by still putting that same kid in her class! NOW my second baby is going off to elementary after being homeschooled the first 2 years of her life and set to start tomorrow. Jennifer Weaver & whoever Laura are the two most disgusting careless human beings at this school. Unprofessional and not a single form of sincere apology from Jennifer's appalling mistake! Literally told me, "maybe finding another site is best then" for being a valid angry parent for her careless poor taste of handling the situation with her position that she upholds. This school is so ghetto. No protection from the back where homeless sleep and do drugs. Graffiti covered up by the back bathrooms. Absolute mess.
