I had the chillequilles and they were pretty darned good. Confusing to order though. I'm used to the eggs being scrambled into the sauteed tortilla strips. So, when the waitress (who could barely speak a lick of English) asked me questions surrounding the order such as how I wanted my eggs cooked and something else I couldn't understand...I just hoped they didn't suck. Which, they didn't suck..at all. Plus the plate was piled hella high with food, which always warms the depths of my fat girl soul! My man's omelet looked good but he said the chorizo tasted off for some reason. They don't serve fresh-squeezed OJ, which was a bummer but not a deal killer. One of our favorite breakfast spots. Service is excellent, food is delicious, and portions are ample. It can be busy at times and has limited parking. The strip mall ambiance is a small downer, but I imagine it keeps prices low. My personal favorite is the breakfast burrito, filled with black beans, bacon, scrambled eggs and cheese, served with sour cream, guacamole and salsa. This is our go to breakfast spot. They have all the classic American breakfast options plus some great Mexican breakfast options. The breakfast burrito is my personal favorite. Just finished brunch with my fiancé a few minutes ago. This was my second time visiting Jefferson Street Cafe and I was not disappointed either time. Last visit I had the chilaquiles with green sauce. Huge portions; didn't need the potatoes but was glad I tried them. This time we split a corned beef hash. The portions are so big you really don't need to get two. The corned beef was on point. Not too salty, good bite to the meat, great with the sautéed red onions. The country potatoes are just roughly chopped fried russets with the skin on. Simple yet very tasty. The eggs were cooked perfectly (over medium), and the sourdough toast comes buttered with real butter, (not that margarine crap). My favorite part is that we can afford to eat here fairly regularly. It is very easy to break your bank here in Napa. Having a very affordable option is paramount to survival around here. read more

I made my complaint that the milk from my coffee was in poor condition and the "boss" tells me .. and what do you want? and why do not you check the milk before taking it? as if I knew that after 3 small cups exactly that milk would be curdled. Read some good reviews on google map and decided to try this place. Service and coffee were ok. I ordered the corn beef hash that came out looking like some pinkish strips on meat?! Not only that it tastes terrible but it was so hard to chew I had to spit it back out. The pancakes I ordered were cold and mushy. The scramble eggs I ordered were over cooked so some parts were burnt. So I end up only eating the hash brown and toasts. Very disappointing. When I told the server about my dissatisfaction with the meal, she just shook her shoulders and said I'm sorry to hear that. Wow! I won't be coming to this place again nor would I recommend it. Not good. Sometimes you go to an old place in a dingy part of town and turns out to be great. Not here. Dingy place turned out to be a mistake. I got eggs and my wife got pancakes. My eggs were over cooked and the pancakes were ice cold. When we let them know the food was cold they looked confused. Took it away and brought the same plate back - still cold. Ugh! We found this place through yelp and the picture of the machaca looked great and convinced me to make the final decision. The service was okay and the portions were good. While this menu is extensive with items that sound delicious I was pretty disappointed with my meal. Since it's sister restaurants to Soscol cafe I was hoping for the same delicious dishes...wasn't the case. Ordered the huevos rancheros- visually is looked mouthwatering. Took my first bite and was very disappointed. Three things that were a no no- the salsa was extremely cold. I didn't expect it to be hot or warm but should be room temperature at least so it's not a shock from the hot eggs and beans. Salsa tasted like it came from a jar and directly from the fridge / freezer. Unfortunately the guacamole was exactly the same. Appeared to be directly from a package that was straight from the fridge. Lastly, the cheese wasn't melted and had a slightly funny taste to it. On a rain soaked Wednesday Mr. W.C. and I were excited to try Jefferson Street Cafe. It really is the same food as Soscol Cafe, but in a more traditional setting. The service was great, the food outstanding. I had an omelet of my own creation, Mr. W.C. chicken fried steak, both served exactly as ordered. It doesn't get any better than this. It cracks me up when I see all the tourists wait in line for a seat at a certain downtown breakfast spot I moonlight right next to. One such fed up touron (yes, it rhymes with moron) asked me where he could find the best big hearty omelet in town, somewhere the locals go. I let him know there was a place that all the locals stand in line for, but not for a $20.00 omelet, Soscol Cafe. The service is friendly and attentive; the portions huge; the food fresh, hot and delicious. Nothing pretentious here, just good, freshly prepared "greasy spoon/diner food". My husband had the chilaquiles; I had an omelet bursting with spinach, mushrooms and cheese; and my daughter had steak and eggs. Crowded and noisy on weekends, but the noise is coming from happy customers. Used to be good. We go there once a month and since the owner moved over to the Soscol location this place has slowly tanked. Today was our last day. They changed the orange juice (tastes like tang now) and they obviously don't change their rancid oil when they make bacon. The waitress spitefully brought us out nearly raw bacon after we politely told her about the charrred strips of carbon they served us. I love this place! I realize that I only give it 3 Stars but for what it is, it hits the spot. It has become our go-to breakfast spot. Food- Prepared well, all the usual breakfast suspects. I love the crispy hash browns and there omelettes. Service/ Hospitality- It can be extremely busy especially on weekends. But I feel like they do a decent job. They could smile a little more and sometimes I feel like I am bothering them when I need something. But there are not trying to be anything else than this, I go there with my family and eat for cheap. I am not looking for 5 star hospitality when I go to eat with my toddlers. Totally rude Service right when we walked in the server looked at another server AN acted like she was shooting Herself in the head cuz we were a family of 7 . Then they told us we could sit t different tables cuz they weren't going to put two tables together so we said we would wait . After waiting 15 minutes outside we went to check on the tables AN they said it would be another 30 mins so we ended up leaving . All the servers were just standing around ! Came in on a Saturday at 11am and didn't leave until 1230pm. This place was packed. The food was good but not worth the wait. I ordered a Napa omelet. It was a huge omelet, probably at least 6 eggs filled with lots of cheese, chicken, peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms,avocado, and green onions. The omlete was moist as opposed to the overcooked dried eggs served at chain restaurants. I was happy. The hash browns also served in a generous portion size were a disappointing pile of uncooked hash :( my friend got the fried egg sandwich. He said it was tasty but not worth the wait. Our bill was 30 for two people which is great for Napa so for sure give them a try but maybe not on a Saturday or Sunday morning. They simply don't have the space to handle their crowd. read more

Good food, BUT the worst customer service in Napa! My family and I came here for breakfast, it WAS our favorite spot. I always order the same thing, an egg white Napa omelet with no cheese. Simple enough. Our 1 year old daughter was pretty cranky and we didn't want to disturb the other breakfast "goers" so we asked to get our order to-go. After we got home and started to eat, I realized my egg white omelet with no cheese was actually showered with cheese inside it. I are what I could around the cheese and had to throw quite a bit away because it was so covered with cheese. I called Jefferson Cafe to let them know what had happened and was told by the owner, Javier, that I was lying and that there was not cheese in my omelet. He wanted me to take a picture of the cheese and drive back down to show him!! Needless to say, we will never be back to this establishment and will spread the word to others about how bad their customer service is! read more

Pretty good food, enjoyed the breakfast items. I did notice a couple of items that I like for breakfast were priced crazy. The oatmeal for one bowl was $ 4.25. The place could use a little cleanup it appears to be a little dirty. I think they have potential to be quite good with a careful review of their prices, some things are way to cheap and a lot of simplistic things are way too expensive. read more
