Definitely stressful but it ended up working out well for me (this was more of a luxury hotel). Pros: -Super comfy bed, I had a room with a king bed -There is a restaurant on-site -The hotel is definitely modern but very tastefully decorated -Lots of plugs to plug in phone chargers, etc. -You can add on breakfast - on the Delta Travel site it was $11 and my breakfast cost $21 so objectively it's a good deal, however it's limited to only four entree choices and juice or coffee. -Friendly front desk employees Cons: -The toilet would make a weird noise whenever I would flush it -The rooms are okay-sized (300 sq. ft.) but bathroom is tiny - if you're sharing a room with friends I could see it being a little awkward. I also couldn't completely close the bathroom door and I was afraid it would get stuck so I didn't attempt it -Parking is across the street and is $12 per day, I believe they have valet as well Overall I would stay here again - Delta Travel paid them $450 for last night's stay (!!!) but I remembered seeing it for $300 when I was looking previously (and to compare, the more-basic room I had booked was $215... I assume because it's a Friday night) which isn't quite as bad.

Our server was spectacular and super helpful. I loved that there's a regular black drip coffee and a flavored coffee which is rare at a restaurant and I had to order (amaretto was the flavor of the day). It was sweet enough for me just with a hint of milk in it. Next came the food. I had a two egg breakfast with eggs over medium, potatoes, and their homemade sourdough which had a small up-charge and totally worth it. My husband ordered the stack of buttermilk pancakes with real maple syrup because who has time for the fake crap when you're in New England? Regulars started coming in after a while and lined the booths and counter. The restaurant itself is big, there's tons of parking, it's very clean and tidy, and the only thing cozy about it is you're made to feel at home. I'd highly recommend swinging by if you're in the area looking for a good solid meal.

It's the kind of place where you can easily get lost in conversation while exploring a great menu. The staff was absolutely amazing, respectful, and so accommodating. They really will do anything they can within reason to make sure you have a great experience. The menu definitely has more of a Mediterranean feel, which personally isn't my favorite type of food, but they were still super accommodating to what I wanted and needed. And the drinks are STRONG definitely not stingy with those! Between the atmosphere, the staff, and how accommodating they were for my birthday, I would absolutely go back. Coffee was prompt and delicious and there was always somebody walking around with a coffee pot if you wanted a second, third or 4th cup. I ordered the short stack of pancakes with blueberries, and a side of bacon. The pancakes were light and fluffy, and the syrup was nice and hot. Plentiful amount of blueberries in the mixture! The bacon was crisp and not overly greasy or salty, very unusual. My boyfriend had the hillbilly eggs Benedict. This incredible dish included three biscuits, two sausage patties, sausage, gravy, eggs over easy and a side of home fries. So much food it would take three people to finish! Egg was delicious and well cooked, sausage had lots of flavor, and the presentation was also excellent. Small place, but nobody rushed you to go out the door and the server was extremely attentive and friendly. Definitely a local favorite and definitely worth the time. Also what we enjoyed was. It wasn't overly expensive for two people to enjoy a delicious brunch. Highly recommend!

There is no 'handicapped parking' specifically for Gel's due to the way the parking lot is designed. There is a small vestibule between the outside and the inside where you will find a community food pantry. Take something if you need it, or leave something for your neighbors. This is such a lovely offering and very much in line with Gel's local community mind set. The doors into the vestibule are heavy glass and metal. Seat yourself in one of the booths. When they remodeled they added a small bar to the back area if you prefer counter seating. They offer a variety of mimosa flavors at breakfast and beer and wine at lunch. Although I suppose if you want a beer with your eggs, have at it. The front and side walls have large windows making the interior bright. They offer so many specials. Check out all the white boards on the back wall above the counter seating. These are in addition to their standard menu. Breakfast items include egg based meals (eggs & bacon & toast for ex.), pancakes, hash and lots of al la carte sides. Coffee is good and comes with free refills. The lunch menu includes sandwiches, salads, soups, wraps and they have a kids menu too. They also offer Kino if you like. They sell Gel's merch (holiday gifts?) and decorate for all the holidays.
