I used Jeffers Pet RX to save a few bucks on prescriptions for my 13 yr old Malinois. My vet said she has cancer and the meds were to make it more comfortable for whatever time she has left. Vet bills have been financially crushing and Jeffers offered a very reasonable price for her medications. I was thrilled that I found such a deal. Getting the RX's ordered was pretty straightforward, where you order online and then Jeffers confirms with the prescribing veterinarian. The hard part was that it took TWO WHOLE WEEEEEEKS from the time I ordered, until I had the new meds in my hand. It was torture, watching my old friend/dog in agony, every minute of every day.....wondering if the meds would arrive soon. I ended up paying the marked up price for meds at the veterinarian's office - just a few pills, until the Jeffers order arrived. I would def use them again, but you HAVE TO plan ahead because it takes TWO WEEKS for pills to arrive. Btw- the office staff is very pleasant even if they can't actually help you get your pet rx's sooner. read more

I ordered an online biotin supplement and immediately received a delay of order notification with NO explanation. I noticed however that they didn't delay immediately charging my credit card for the item. I responded to them by email that they're could either send the item immediately AND provide me with the reason for the delay, additionally criticizing them for not having an electronic perpetual inventory system so customers would know if they were sold out of items, or the must refund my credit card until the item was received by them and shipped. Voila, they then immediately advised me the item had been shipped. Still no explanation as to what the delay was or why. I have a FedEx tracking number so have confirmed it shipped the same day as my email exchanges. Poor communication Poor customer service protocols No perpetual inventory system It appears this is standard procedure for Jeffers to automatically send delay of shipment notices, as per the BBB and other reviews. We ordered home FIP tests for our cats from Jeffers. They were out of stock. Instead of simply telling us it was out of stock, they charged our card hundreds of dollars and sent us heartworm tests for dogs. Rather than instantly refunding our money, we were told we would need to pay to ship the product we never ordered back to them before they would refund the money they fraudulently charged us. Upon our objections, they provided a shipping label, but still refused to refund the money they fraudulently took. After expending hours of our time dealing with their "mistake", Jeffers took multiple weeks to provide the refund. Nothing offered for our time and inconvenience rectifying their fraud other than a half hearted "sorry". Having been Leonberger breeders for over 25 years and starting a Maine Coon cattery, we will be sharing their ridiculous incompetence (at best) with everyone we know and I would strongly advise against allowing these people access to your funds. read more

Unfortunately the modified live vaccines we ordered arrived warm with "cold paks" also warm. When I called to complain I was told no refunds and that I should not have chosen the ground shipping option but much more costly next day air shipping unless located right around their Alabama location. They should not offer routine ground shipping with cooler and ice paks as an option (with no recourse for inactivated warm vaccines on arrival) if they cannot assure they can arrive effectively and maintain effectiveness. As a veterinary doctor I cannot recommend ordering vaccines from this company unless you live near their location in Alabama or are willing to pay high, overnight shipping costs. This was suddenly on autoship. When I called to cancel they said they would put in the request. I immediately get a call back a few minutes later saying they can't cancel because they already shipped. When you look at the tracking, you can see that UPS never received the package and the label had just been created only after I made the call to cancel. They know they have a policy they won't allow for a return on vaccines. So they will never allow you to cancel a vaccine order when they can just go ahead and ship after you call to cancel and that way they force the sale with no recourse given. I love this place! I love the clearance bin the most!!! And the next best thing, ok or maybe tied for first is the sheer knowledge of the staff. They know what they have, or know who to ask or where to find it. That is the most valuable thing they have, a strong caring staff. You know they care about your animals. I have visited several times while visiting my mom and dad. My service dog is on a special diet. I have asked them to try to locate his kibble or something like it, they may not have what he needs, but they find one close! Jeffers is the absolute worst company to buy from. As a company theyvhave no moral integrity. I bought my first shipment of vaccines in May of 2024. I se it up on an auto ship. They customer service department set it up because buying vaccines I wanted to make sure it was set up correctly. When the vaccines arrived they were hot and the second set was also. There advise was to get an ice pack and send them back. They did refund me my money. I gave them a second chance big mistake as they delivered my November shipment fine however, my January shipment never shipped on the 9th I contacted them and they said it shipped on the 6th and would be to me by the 18th. I paid for 2 day shipping. I contacted them and told them this was unacceptable as the vaccines would be bad when they arrived. They told me they would refund me but I needed to send the vaccines back. When the vaccines arrived I rejected the package and not only do I not have the bad vaccines they never refunded me. They told me to drive from Wisconsin to Missouri to intercept a package!!!!! I have ordered from Jeffers as we are a small dog rescue. I will order vaccines and supplies. At times I would get the wrong product or they didn't use the extra ice I bought and the vaccines were no good. I send them to fosters and other locations. On Saturday I ordered vaccines online. It give you the customer service number to cancel and an email. June 30th I did both. I received a reply back on July 3 , Monday that they hadn't shipped the order yet and could cancel. July 3rd I responded yes please. Label was created July 5th and sent. Not only would they not reimburse me, they told me to drive from WI to MO to intercept the package! They said they would send me the return label to send back, I explained that the woman wouldn't return them. There's other reasons why I wanted the shipment stopped. I dont know what is going on with Jeffers, I have ordered from them for years, but the last two orders have been utter disasters. I only received part of my most recent order and reached out for over two weeks to try to get it resolved. At one point they tried to tell me that I hadnt paid for my 7 horse dewormers and I wasnt charged. I promptly pulled up my credit card charge and sent screenshots showing i had in fact ordered them and was charged . This entire time i have received the worst and most unprofessional customer service . I still have not received my dewormers, but instead was resent the vaccines i ordered. Not even an apology or a hi kathryn on any communication . I dont know if they are seriously incompetent or they just are flat out rude. I ordered a bottle of Ivermectin on 3/10. I received my bottle the evening of 3/16. When I opened my box I discovered that the expiration was in just nine months and the bottle seemed to be leaking, despite the top being intact. I attempted to call over the weekend, but they either were not open or they did not answer their phone as the recording just continued to repeat that they "were experience a high call volume and someone would he right with me." On Monday I finally was able to speak to a representative who put me in touch with a manager after arguing with me once I asked if they could make sure the new bottle had an expiration of at least 12 months out. She repeatedly told me that their system stated the bottle they sent me expired 12/2025 and not 12/2024, which was false (see photos) but a moot point since half of the bottle had leaked by that point anyway. The manager said she needed photos of the damaged product, which is certainly understandable, but I was driving and unable to write down the email address. I asked her to email me so that I could reply to the email when I got home. She then put me on hold and said that she was going to put me in contact with another department (I cannot recall the exact name) and they would then decide if I could get a new bottle! I am unsure why it went from needing a photo from me to possibly not getting an undamaged bottle, other than being upset that I was "inconveniencing" her by requesting she email me since I was driving. After I got off the phone with her, I became increasingly upset and called back in. I requested to speak to a different manager who ended up being the call center supervisor. I explained what had happened in the previous call and that on their site it states that customers have three days to contact them if there is an issue. She stated she was noting my account and assured me that once the photos were sent that a replacement would be sent to me. After repeatedly trying to reply to the email address that was sent to me without luck, I used their live chat to send the photos. The person operating that site was also just as unhelpful as all of the others I had delt with... I finally was able to get confirmation that my email had been sent to both their generic mailbox and to the supervisor. I did not hear anything in return so I called in the evening of 3/21 to follow up. The representative told me that my claim had been denied because the bottle I had has an expiration of nine months out.... I regret even mentioning the date now because that was not the main issue! MY BOTTLE HAS LEAKED TO ALMOST NOTHING! I explained again that was not the main issue, just to be put back on hold. She then told me that the supervisor I had been dealing with had left for the day and asked me to call back tomorrow! I explained that I have had a leaking bottle of Ivermectin in my sink now for seven days and despite me putting tape on the pin hole that I did eventually find, it continues to leak. I need to know if they want this bottle back or if I can discard it. I asked to speak to another manager and she told me that there were none there at this time. I again questioned the fact that she said there were absolutely no managers on duty and she kind of laughed and said no... I cannot, and do not believe that a business would be open without an authority figure available. I told her I needed to speak to someone else who could help me, she chuckled and put me on a permanent hold. I finally hung up after a LONG wait. This is absolutely insulting as I have used this company for several years. It should not be this difficult to get resolution for a damaged product! I NEED this item ASAP in order to treat my animals, and instead I have a bottle that I cannot open, leaking in my sink in fear that if I do open it, I won't get a replacement. E-mailed Jeffers and was told they are not responsible for packages that scanned as delivered and it was my responsibility to knock on doors in town to see who got my package. I absolutely love Jeffers Pet. I have ordered from them a couple other times before and can truly say this is the best website to order call your pets needs. So far I have ordered dental chews. De-Wormer ETC... They have have rock bottom prices and actually better than there competitor ( Petedge ). Shipping is free on orders over $60 and sometimes orders over $49 and is super fast. Jeffers neglected to ship us our puppies vaccination on the day in which they listed online. I took off work to be home, paid for the overnight, all to ensure that the vaccines would be quickly refrigerated. Upon following up with their customer support, I was repeatedly told that I was "misinformed" and that the best they could do was ship it out Monday (4 days from the day I ordered it) but I still needed to pay for the overnight shipping, otherwise I'd get it next Friday. This is all while having a recording while on hold was saying "If your order is urgent, we have enough people here today to ship you your order, so you can receive it tomorrow." Our customer service representative was so degrading and sarcastic that it ultimately led to the cancelation of our order, which definitely was not our intent when calling in, but that being said, I'd rather know my money is going towards a company who actually values their business. read more

Excellent customer service!! When I ordered a giant haul of dog toys and treats to give as gifts for Christmas, I noticed one dog became ill after eating one of the treats purchased. I contacted Jeffers immediately to report this. They were very apologetic and refunded me for all of the edible treats I received. I was impressed with how quickly everything was processed!
