This isn't a post to BASH - Bed and Biscuit but to warn people of a place to NOT take your pets. We have boarded with before with another company (Bobbi's Barks and Bubbles) and have had AMAZING experiences! We will forever be boarding with them! BUT I waited till the last minute to find someone to board our dogs while we went out of town for Thanksgiving. I had called several places and was told "we don't have anymore room" or "we don't have room for them all" or even "we don't have room for your large dog (Jason 100+ lbs)" I finally found (bed and biscuit) they said they have room to accommodate all of our dogs. Wednesday I dropped them off and I initially felt uneasy but our other boarding service has set a VERY high standard. The office was very cluttered and smelt AWFUL. I have worked in a vets office that boarded and was also the pound before and understand it is hard to keep it smelling like roses, but it shouldn't smell that bad! I brought my dogs in one by one smallest to largest. When I got to Romeo I let them know that he will jump out of something very easily. And them once I brought in Jason I told them how big he is that he can quickly get out of something also. They assured me that they will be in an area "just for them and very secure." I asked to see where they will be staying "they said well... there is a mess back there, it isn't set up to show owners" and all sorts of excuses. I said I want to see where they are staying or they won't be staying. They showed me the small MAYBE 4'x4' and 5' high area my four dogs were smushed into... I said they won't work, romeo and jason will jump out. They said they can move them into another area for all four of them to be together and have there on ROOM! I finally leave still feeling uneasy and I should have trusted my gut feeling and never left my babies there. We picked them up earlier than expected Friday around 12. Jason came out first and I saw the wounds on his head and immediately said "what happen to his head" the owners husband got defensive and said "oh he came in like that". Rob and I both said NO, he did not and then he argued with us and I finally said just give me my other dogs and we will go from there. Jason jumped up on me and he was COVERED in his own poop and pee! It was on me now also. I said "what is this!?! Has he been in his poop and pee the whole time!?!?" The owners husband walked off to get my other dogs. He brought out the remainder of my dogs ALL covered in poop and pee. These are dogs who stay in kennels while we are at work during the week and NEVER use the bathroom in their kennels. So we are beyond mad! The owner finally shows up and sees how mad we are and starts to get defensive also. She says they were taken care of and that jason was in a kennel but it was plenty large enough for him. CLEARLY it wasn't! He has a sore rubbed on the top of his head that is crusted and has green matter coming out of it. He has scratches on his back from his back rubbing the top of the kennel. And is moving very slow. I finally tell them owner to give me a refund NOW and she will sign a paper to agree to cover my vet bills. She signed and agreed. Jason laid on our bed and barley moved all night. We took Jason to the vet and he was checked out and was given some medicine. He is much better today! The owner just met me and gave me the cash for the vet bill and has held up to her end of the deal. Before you read the other reviews on other sites, keep in mind that this business is UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT. I can't stress this enough. While we were stationed at Ft Rucker, we found this place only because Dog Days was full. It was initially a good place. Good enough. The owners a year ago were rude then and very shady on when they were actually there. We didn't go back for a while until we had a last minute trip out of town this past summer. I noticed a new guy at a newly built desk but didn't think anything of it. Then I got the dogs back and they were BATHED. I'm also pretty sure that the fingernails were clipped! The next time we took them back, our littlest dog ran INTO the place. You have to understand that he was a rescue/rehab who used to live in the woods. He gets very hesitant when entering buildings. Not this one. They completely forget we exist when we leave...sad for us, good for them. The dogs there stay in little "rooms" and our dogs stayed together. They get fed separately. They then play outside with all the other dogs ALL the time. Every time I am have been there, my dogs have been enjoying the outdoors. It's not just the normal service that this place gives, though. Fast forward to May of this past year. We found out our next station was HAWAII. For those of you who don't know, Hawaii has a 120 day quarantine policy...and we had to leave in 90 days. Panic set in. Until we ended up talking to them one day about it while dropping the dogs off. That is when Shannon, the owner, and her husband told us that they would offer to board the boys for that long. Not only that, but they would get the kennels, take them to the vet, and drive them to Atlanta to get on the plane to HNL. She sent us pictures and texts for updates during this long separation. If I could give negative stars, I would. Here is my story. I booked my two dogs, a 16 year old lab mix with severe arthritis and an 8 year old Schnoodle, to stay for 7 days about a month out for Memorial Day weekend based on the facility's location and rate. When we took them to start their stay, there was a sign at the desk saying that the daily boarding rate went up. When I asked about the rate they just said they changed it and wouldn't honor the rate that I booked at a month earlier. Knowing I couldn't find a place to board my babies on such short notice, I went ahead and signed them in. I left them with all of their beds & food and went on my vacation. When I came back to pick them up, I walked in and all of their beds, food & medicines were sitting in the front. The facility had no idea what time I was coming, so not sure how long my babies were without their beds laying on concrete. I took my babies home on Tuesday. On The Friday night following their stay, I was petting my 16 year old lab and her hair started falling out. I took her to the vet the next morning to get her checked out. The vet took her back to check her out and called me back to show me what they found. They specifically asked me if anything had been spilled on her, that it looked as if she had a chemical burn. I contacted the boarding facility to ask if anything had happened that they were aware of and they said something about bathing her, but then during a different conversation said they didn't bathe her. Then they said that the Schnoodle peed in the room and they bathed her because she got in it, but then said that didn't happen either. I texted the owner's wife several times and at first they seemed concerned and tried to find out what happened if it was a cleaning agent that they were using, then it went to denying any wrong doing. At first, the owner's wife said that their insurance would handle any vet bills that I incurred, but then denied the claim when I sent the receipts. I would strongly urge anyone to consider other boarding facilities in town before leaving your precious pups here. read more

Our two girl dogs love going to Bed &biscuit when we go out of town. It's easy to tell because they are eager to go inside and get excited in the car when we make the last turn and they realize where we're headed. Also, our pups are now "seniors" requiring daily medications, and the staff is diligent and conscientious about dosing them properly. read more

This facility came highly recommended to me from a friend who uses their doggie daycare services. I boarded my two chihuahuas there for a week. They were happy to give them their daily vitamin and wrote down my feeding instructions. All the workers I encountered were very nice and definitely seemed to love dogs. My boys seemed happy when I came back to pick them up. I think they were well-cared for during their stay. The pricing is reasonable. I will definitely use them again! read more

We found this place because, like the poster below, Dog Days was full and my neighbor sent me the Bed and Biscuits website (we boarded our dogs the same weekend). My husband and I took a trip to Florida for a few days, and chose to board her here. Our dog is a rescue dog who doesn't much care for men. She was hesitant when going in, but the guy that greeted us took her, got down on the floor with her, and tried to get her to warm up to him which she quickly did. While there, she spent the bulk of her time with older/less energy dogs (because she's not very high energy), and they let her out with my neighbor's dog which I think really helped her to feel comfortable there. When we went to get her, she was really excited to see us, but almost didn't come out of the back room area like she wanted to stay. She was bathed and her nails were clipped. The best part is when we got her home - when we brought her home from Dog Days, she slept for several days almost straight and acted kind of weird so we were pretty hesitant to board her anywhere else because we were afraid that she'd get worse. We've been very pleased thus far with her behavior since she's been home (two days). She has SO much more energy and just seems generally happier. We'll definitely be boarding her here again and I will be recommending them to all of our friends! read more
