Absolutely not!" with the attitude of a supreme commander, interrupted my request directly, and shouted and ordered me to listen to her ! I didn't even have a chance to explain! OMG! I needed a new nose pad on a pair of glasses. My expectation was a few minutes, a few bucks, and there we go. But first, they need my name. My address. My phone number. My email. Can't repair without entering me into the computer. I ask what it will cost. Can't say, until we talk to the optician. But I see the price list says $5 for a nosepad. Optician is having lunch, can I wait a few minutes? OK. A few minutes turns into 12 minutes but I have a phone appointment and there is no wifi or cell service, so I ask if I can come back. Sure. I come back in a half hour and the work is done. The charge is $35. Wait, what? Turns out there is a $25 charge for glasses not bought there. Because, um, why? To encourage me to buy glasses there? To discourage anyone with glasses from coming in? I decline and ask them to return the glasses and they waive the $25 charge. They charge $10 because they replaced both pads. This is probably a reasonable place for glasses and contacts but ask about the pricing.
