I transport a friend to this doctor (who has me escort her inside offices) and I'm jealous he's not my doctor! Everyone at this office has exceptional bedside manner! It's the most happy doctor office I can ever recall being at. All doctors offices should be this positive with happy people making everyone FEEL BETTER. I was surprised to have seen a negative review and I can say after half dozen trips there -where I have met most of those who work there- anyone who ever had a negative experience there, I can bet is the problem! read more

Still a patient well over a decade later. Same great care. A lot of doctors are not necessarily understanding of individual struggles. If you have trouble doing exactly as they have recommended, you get a lecture and shaming. Not so with him. When you're trying to do what he's asked, he will try to help you find a way and support you while you try to find a way for yourself. The new office (part of Middletown Medical) is also excellent about transferring records as needed to specialists for continuity of care. Office staff is fast and helpful, nurses are friendly and good at what they do. The office also offers a telemedicine counseling service for people struggling with mental health concerns, and after the last 2 years, thank goodness. All it took was a quick phone call and they set me up with a counselor who has profoundly improved my well-being. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Weinstein for about 15 years. Although he is a Family Primary Physician his focus is on Pediatrics. He took care of my daughter from infant through her teenage years. He is a great physician. It is difficult to get an appointment with him, but it is well worth the wait. He is good natured, patient and VERY knowledgeable. I highly recommend him for adults and children. read more

Not impressed with office staff, both in practice and demeanor. Took me 2 months to get an appointment as a new patient. By the time I got there I couldn't even remember what caused me to schedule the appointment in the first place, but new ins company had assigned him as pcp. No prior notice he intended to perform blood tests, as such I didn't fast, and test results were complete outliers when compared to prior 15 yrs of test results. Obviously worthless. Still waiting for the visit summary staff promised to mail me, all my specialists produce these same day or next day, it's been weeks. And, he's a pediatrician so I got to share a waiting room with a bunch of sick kids. The Doc himself is thorough and decent manner, my poor experience is more due to scheduling, staff, no advance notice of test (to fast), and setting. UPDATE: I called the docs office to resolve the issues with them. He staff member I reached out to for assistance was kind and apologetic, and promised to resolve my issues. So I said to myself, omg, maybe I rushed to judgment on the staff. Maybe they're not all rude and lazy. Maybe I should edit the review and raise the rating. Then, later on, I called that staff member back to follow up, to find out if things had been taken care of. After an interminably long time on hold Dr Weinstein Himself came on the line. I was really surprised, as so few docs these days seem willing to speak to patients on the phone. I appreciated the doc taking the time to resolve my issues, I thanked him and was very polite, as I had certainly been getting agitated. BUT Dr Weinstein immediately began speaking to me in a snarky and sarcastically manner. He started BLAMING ME for an obvious oversight by his staff. THEN, rather than working things out with me as if he had any concern for my health, he adopted that know it all attitude that so frequently frustrates ppl who have to deal with drs. While this was happening, I couldn't help thinking "people actually take their children to this guy" unbelievable. Patients are sick, it makes them cranky. Patients are allowed to be irritable, especially when medical staff makes mistakes. Dr weinstein did eventually admit his staff had made a mistake. Doctors, on the other hand, are not allowed to be verbally abusive toward patients NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. SO I've changed my review to 1 star, but I wish I could give negative stars.
