An Incredibly Good Roof, Expertly Installed…read more I shopped around, got about 6 bids. Cameron and Axis weren't the least expensive, nor the most. They provided several choices, each of which gave me the best value for my dollars. They worked with me through some scheduling changes so that I could watch the roof go on. What is underneath is really more important than the shingles that went on top. The crew was professional and efficient, and really nice guys to boot. They worked long hours to get it done quickly and cleaned up each night. I told Cameron that I wanted to be around in 50 years to check up on their warranty. He said the roof would be there.

I am very disappointed with Axis Roof and Gutter. I had them do a full roof replacement. When Steve…read morecame to look at the roof and give a bid, he said that he was not sure if my roof had plywood on the whole roof or not. Looking at it from the attic he could see some roofing nails. All the other 3 companies I had give an estimate said the same thing. My house is 62 years old and is very solidly built. When he did the bid he included 3 sheets of plywood just in case. He did not want to include all the sheets in case it did not need it but said that any additional sheets would be billed at an additional cost. If it was needed, it would take 50 sheets to cover the entire roof. I planned on needing the 50 sheets, so I added that cost to his bid and went with them. When it was all done, he said that it was 58 sheets (which I question, all the other companies I had give me an estimate said it would be 50 sheets). He did not give me the credit for the 3 sheets he added to the bid, saying they were in addition to the extra ones. Needless to say, it cost more than the bid. I would say watch what they are doing and take note of the supplies. The work looks good, except the flashing on the chimney. After not hearing back from them about it, I am having another company come and fix it. I don't really trust them to do it correctly. Only go with them if you want to pay more than they quote.

C A Landscape does a very good job with their landscaping services. I do know they offer a lot of…read moreother services besides just landscaping but I've only used them to cut back some trees that were growing over my roof and then for routine yard care. The owner is very kind and always quick to schedule and get a job done. I truthfully thought that my yard would not look as good as it did after I came home and saw it. The edging of the grass, the weeding, and everything in between is done with care and looks very sharp. The only downfall is communication is hard. Not sure if he is very busy with lots of work, or if it just takes a while but through texting it can take a bit to hear back. I'm willing to allow this because this company does such great work.

However Russ the owner was not good about returning phone questions. On the other hand he's a genuinely happy guy and good to interact with in person. Surprised how far some of the nails came through into the attic space, making it a hard hat zone! Been hammering them over bit by bit.

I just used Allen Roofing to fix a few areas of our composite shingle roof that was damaged by the…read morerecent storm. Based on my experience I highly recommend them (and I'm really picky). They came out the next day after I called requesting a quote, and when they arrived they not only gave me a bid, but also said they could do the work right then and there. They had taken the initiative to bring the right color shingles and their approach to the repair was perfect for the circumstances (old roof - we just need to make it a few more years). In addition to doing the job requested, they also helped with a temporary repair to our damaged gutters. They also helped fix a gutter drain issue that was causing an annoying drip where we sit at our deck. Overall these are skilled craftsmen who are easy to work with and charge a fair price. I will use them again next time I need roof repair or replacement.

Absolutely horrible follow through and lack of communication from this company…read more I had reached out for a roofing repair quote and scheduled a time to meet with Edvin. The initial time suggested wouldn't work for me so Edvin stated he would be on site 30 mins earlier. 10:30 AM arrives. No-show from Edvin. No communication, no update, no notice. 8 mins past our agreed upon meeting time, I had to be the one to initiate finding out what happened. Shouldn't the business be the one letting me know if they couldn't make the time BEFORE the agreed upon time? After finding out Edvin couldn't meet that day, he said he could be there the following day at 11AM. Again, another no-show from this company. No communication, no update, no notice. Even after giving them the benefit of the doubt asking if we were still meeting 7 mins AFTER the agreed time, Edvin chose to read the message and remained silent. I'll let the images speak for themselves.

It took 6 months from start to finish and a lot of back and forth…read more In early Dec 2020 I hired Edvin's company to fix my metal roof that got damaged from a tree. I thought it was a small job and paid deposit right away. They said they could start Monday Dec 5. Then Dec 9 Edvin said the metals have been delayed for a week due to the holidays. Dec 29 I asked when they would start. They scheduled then canceled on me Jan 14, 26, 30, then Feb 8, and said it was due to inclement weather. Then they handed me off to Sam and said there was confusion and language barrier. Then Feb 25 they said they were waiting on metals again but they did start pulling off the damaged roof. Then I contacted them Mar 1, 3 and no answer. Then Mar 4, 6, 11, 17, 18, 19, 24, 29 it was either sporadic or no communication until I threatened bad reviews. Apr 1 they replaced the new metal roof section. It was not the matching striation of the original panels but I didn't make them change it. I inspected the work and I asked them to cover a small soffit area with metal to protect it and make it look uniform. Also they needed to clean up their scraps. Apr 20 they still had not come back. May 21 they asked for final payment. I reminded them they needed to do the touchups and clean up again. May 25 they finally completed the work and I submitted final payment.

We hired Step Above in August '17 to reside a duplex we'd just purchased in Everett. Their bid was…read morethe best and so they began removing 2 even 3 layers of siding in some places since the building had been around since 1901. Once the siding was removed they made it flush and prepared the building to be sided with new hardie plank. We hit a few snags a long the way, first we told them not put the hardie plank in the driveway a long the ally way for fear it would get stolen. Mike, Larry, my husband and I all came up with a plan to have the hardie plank put in the yard where it could be seen by the tenants, but hidden from prowlers by the fencing. Well when it arrived they put it at the end of the driveway right next to the ally way, where $1,500 worth of siding was stolen. Mike doesn't listen very well, so you always have to be checking to make sure he follows through on what was previously discussed. Luckily Mike took care of the loss since we had specifically asked it be stored elsewhere due to potential theft. Additionally, Mike didn't order all the windows that were supposed to be ordered which delayed the project. When all the windows were ordered, he ended up ordering windows we didn't need and replaced 2 perfectly new windows...ugh! Again, he doesn't listen! Despite the set backs they did a great job and the cost for the work was 10's of thousands below the next bid and I'd hire them to reside another project.
