I ordered a large pepperoni, sausage, with tomatoes and pineapple. So glad I didn't look at the reviews before stopping , I might of went somewhere else. The ambiance is lacking something. At first it felt cold and kind of dreary but at least I fit in in my workout gear and sweaty hair. The cashier was quick, polite and efficient and as my niece and I sat waiting, the smell of pizza permeated our clothes and hair and made our stomachs growl. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza (keeping it classic) and the only crust choice is thin, which I hear they're infamous for. Havent been here since my childhood. The place seems to have changed a bit, but is still pretty old school. There is lots of space to have parties and gatherings. Wondering if it ever gets that busy anymore. Kind of nostalgic really...they have one pinball machine--but it likes to eat your money and several other video game machines that you don't see much anymore. Pizza is okay--not the worst and not the best. Has quite a bit of cornmeal on the bottom of the crust and a familiar taste of old school pizza that you don't taste at many pizza joints these days. I've been going to JC's pizza for years. I've always had great service and great quality pizza. Unfortunately, yesterday we had a horrible experience with the pizza. We did a carry out. When we got home in Oregon City we open the pizza box and the pizza was burnt. The pizza was hard and the cheese was burnt as can been seen below. I am very disappointed with the quality and I don't now if I will be returning if this is the quality I can expect. I would have taken the pizza back but it's a drive down to Keizer. Was there a bit ago with my family seen what may have been rodent feces on the table was unsure so wiped the table and ate as usual. Well went another time after recently and I ordered to go this time while waiting on the side for my pizza seen 3 mice running across the wood beams above my head so that clarified that what we seen on the table the time before was indeed rat feces very gross haven't been back even though this place is or should I say WAS a family favorite since childhood. Good Pizza if you want 3 toppings or more : Premium to higher prices. Not a healthy looking environment. Staff is friendly. Poor job on watching the pizzas in the ovens as everything usually floats to the middle from the bubbling. Always have to re-cut the pizza when you get it home. This place is a joke - pay 40.00 bucks for a burnt pizza , chicken wings we just old looking and not even warm - This happened yesterday at about 9pm called my order in and this is what I get when I get home!!! Also my wife posted a complaint on there Facebook page with pictures- someone responded to her saying it was unacceptable on the pizza we got and to contact them so they could TRY and fix the issue . The next day my wife's post has been removed and they blocked her from the Facebook page - just goes to show what kind of company this is!!! Pizza was good for the price, but the ambiance was dated to the 80's at least. Not exactly the cleaners t place either.

The food was mid, like save the money & buy a frozen pizza mid. Remember to order ranch because you could tell the best part about the workers day here are telling people ranch cost extra if you know what I mean lmfao. The service? I get people can have a bad day but every time we've gone, we've had unnecessarily rude interactions with workers here. The first couple times have been young girls working the counter that would rather pretend they don't see you at the counter, then the last couple times the same man working the counter clearly didn't give a damn about working. If you like ice (especially on a hot day) they'll be stingy with it if they even remember to serve you your sodas lol. The ambiance/ environment? Well, when the bathroom doesn't stink up the area like sewage water the building straight up smells old...if you know what I mean. The building was very quiet and not busy at all every time we've been in. Why have a tv if you won't even have it on during business hours in the first place? No music either? The rooms have christmas decorations still in the middle of July like it was very bizarre and not a cheerful joint at alll; there's plenty of other pizza places to check out and try in the area fs. We drive from Tigard all the way over with hmu friend and her parents and ordered our pizza, we waited and waited and until we got fed up with how long it was taking so we went up to the counter and confronted them and they looked so confused like HUH??? I've now been here waiting after being told "I don't know what happened to your pizza" at the 30 minute mark for nearly an hour sincey one pizza was called in. My wife recommended JCs because it is close to our house. Haven't lived in the area long, so I did not know the history of this place. Wife ordered it for pickup and was told 45 minutes. Waited 35 and off I went. When I got there I told the girl at the register I was there to pickup a pizza. She said it wasn't ready. So I waited......another 20 minutes. Big mistake on their part because I was able to look around. This place is a dump and is very dirty.....it's just nasty. The pizza was the meat pizza and was......sort of edible. The pepperoni was way too spicy and just overpowered the other ingredients. I ended up peeling them off, but then the pizza was kind of boring. Every review I read said the crust is the best. The food is great but they almost always have the worst customer service. Called in an order yesterday and asked for the to go special online for $26.99 and the guy rudely corrects me and says "yeah it's $27". If that's the case, then change your info on your website. I also asked for a couple sides of ranch and he says "Ok, so do you want 2, 3, 4, or how many?" There's no need to be rudely sarcastic. Went to this place awhile back and we were eating in the front seating area. Halfway through our food we saw a rat the size of a kitten running on top of the extremely dusty platform above where we sat. There was about 10 of us and we all lost our appetite. We spent easily over $80 and didnt finish anything. The spuds were a disgusting mess that resembled one gaint piece of fried cow pattys. Taking the spuds apart you could still see uncooked batter and raw potato. Was a extremely negative experience. The owners clearly do not care about quality here. For those who love Walery's Pizza in West Salem but are far away, look no further than J.C's Pizza in Keizer. The food is virtually identical -- the pizza's prices, tastes, and style are practically the same. The setting and scene is similar as well -- large families, "little league" sponsored memorabilia, and beer / salad. The restaurant is neither as big nor does it feature as good a parking as Walery's, however its location along the busy River Road is far superior than the remote West Salem Edgewater location. I had an employee help me that was not wearing a mask. When I asked her to wear a mask if she is approach a customer another employee informed that the employee there do not need to wear mask and they were told by Osha that they did not need to wear mask. Place was hecka musty and lw reminded me of a trap-house. Pretty big place though! The inside had at least 4 different sections with arcade games, pool, and areas to sit. Although the area was kinda crusty and looked as if nobody vacuumed for years. FOOD: 1. Took hellllllla long to come out- probably 35 minutes for one pizza 2. Pizza crust was super hard. I could barely chew it and i had to bend each slice at like a 90 degree angle to snap a piece off. Legit I thought I broke a tooth. 3. Flavor was lack-luster. Dominoes has better pizza and I don't even like Dominoes that much. 4. Wack how ranch is extra PLACE: 1. They give plates, but its not even the ceramic ones. Its the kind that is plastic and has like knife cuts in it that leaves indents in the plate type of plate. 2. ALL the plates were wet which was sorta gross. 3. I have to say in the Salem/Keizer area this is one of my favorite pizza places, of course it's a close race with some of the other places mentioned in other reviews. We've been here multiple times and are never disappointed. We usually get the JC's Special (I'm pretty sure that's what it's called) and occasionally a side of "spuds." Personally for me the spuds are a bit too salty but my husband loves those seasoned fried potato slices. The pizzas are reasonably priced for what you get and I think the one order of spuds is an appetizer that could easily be shared by at least four people. Pizza crust is thin and crunchy but always perfectly cooked. The ingredients are fresh and generously portioned on your pizza. I do think the sauce could use a little more pizazz but it's not terrible by any means. The atmosphere in this place is causal with lots of seating. I like the exposed beams and the fire pits throughout the place. Seating areas are divided up into different sections so even if it's packed in one area there are still other sections you can sit and not be bothered by the sound from the group . This place is great for parties, as there seems to be one ever time we've been there. One downside is on a busy night or with multiple groups it can get pretty loud. For $200 you can order a GIANT pizza! The pizza pan is almost as tall as I am when it's on it's side! Don't forget to order 3 days in advance for this monster! Whenever we go there I always wonder if it ever actually got ordered. Then low and behold on our last trip to JC's there was a large party and sitting on 2 tables pushed together was the monster pizza! What a sight that was! I went with my friend for her brother's 9th birthday party years ago and had never been here before. I figured I'd try it, and I love arcades so hey. Why not? Big mistake.
