Today was another $5.00 sale on selected merchandise throughout the entire store This sale ends next week and is definitely worth checking out. Those items with a "pink tag,"are the only pieces, which qualify for the $5.00 purchase. This might be the perfect time to pick up a birthday on early Christmas gift. My total due at check out after purchasing (10) items was $54.19 and my total saving was $431.99. read more

Black Friday shopping, 2024, I was able to do this online and this store was the closest location for a Pickup order (although the area one is a Grand Canyon & Hualapai). I had six pickups! This was my first stop. I was in the area, saturday, 11/30/24, so I parked in the front, near Red Robin. I went inside the mall, and into the store, and headed for the Window Department, on the second floor. I stood in line and showed my ID for my pickup order. She scanned the bar code on my e-mail. And I signed for it, she printed out my receipt and I got my order. Easy-peasy. There were quite a few other people shopping there. The aisles were a little crowded. But it was nice to see people were in side the store shopping. There were long lines at the checkout too. (A few years ago, I thought that this department store was in trouble.) read more

Saw towels on sale on the website, so I went to buy them in person. At the register, I was told they were regular price, and they wouldn't even double check when I explained there must be an error, just let me walk away without buying them. I went home and ordered them online for the sale price. Guess it's no wonder they couldn't make an effort, since they had one employee working the entire level of the store. read more

My husband and I were here for vacation the last week of November and decided to do some Christmas shopping for our Goddaughter. The toddler clothing selection was much bigger than the JCP we have near our home. We had a wonderful shopping experience and purchased about 7 outfits for our Goddaughter. You really can't beat the prices and the coupons. Service was also great as well. read more

Disappointed in our visit today. I was wandering around following the Mrs as she was shopping for a new outfit & some blouses. There was no staff close by to answer our questions or guide us to a particular area. Once she gathered up a few items to try on we had to hunt for a dressing room. All of the ones we came across were closed. The ONLY open dressing rooms were in the junior section near Customer Service. This is it. Want to try on that little black dress? Or a new pant suit, this is the only dressing room! And, (of course) there was a line of six ladies, all holding their clothing items, patiently waiting their turn. If you're a fella buying a new suit for work, you'd have to go stand in line with the rest of the crowd & wait. No one to check your cuffs, no three sided mirrors, just you & your suit. There are different clothing choices throughout the store. Once I find something, I shouldn't have to traipse around the store clutching my items in search of a dressing room. Waiting in a line, knowing there are perfectly good dressing rooms available if they'd just open them. Open some more dressing rooms & provide some additional staff. Two stars because they did have a large selection of clothing. read more

Shopped at JCPenney at Sunset Galleria. We were assisted by Joyce in the jewelry department. Joyce is truly a joy. She worked so hard to find what we wanted. So many options and very reasonable prices. Unfortunately we were not able to find a ring that we both could agree on, but I was so impressed with the expert assistance Joyce provided that I will make it a point to return to her on a future purchase. If you need assistance with jewelry I strongly recommend that you see Joyce at JCPenney Sunset Galleria. read more

I hope that JC Penney can find a way not to go the same way as Sears, K Mart, and all the other big box stores that have gone out of business in recent years. It appears they are trying their darndest to stay afloat as I have seen a marked improvement in many aspects of their stores, especially the JC Penney store located in Henderson. The merchandise appears to be flowing a lot better, it's more updated, they are following Kohl's footsteps with their sales and marketing, and the staff has a more upbeat and lighter appearance. Whether due to the local managers or corporate, the Henderson store is a more pleasant store than its sister stores in Las Vegas. It's a bit out of the way for us, but if I have to go here, I'll do so, just a little less often than the other stores, which will cut down on any purchases my wife and I might make. I say keep up the excellent work in this store and try and do the same for the others. The JC Penney in Henderson is adhering to pandemic regulations quite well. All employees are wearing masks and gloves, and I see each checkout station cleaned after every use. They are limiting the number of customers entering the store, and generally speaking, I am satisfied with how they are dealing with the adverse circumstances. RECOMMENDED: Yes SERVICE: Good PRICE: $$ COVID: Follows pandemic guidelines PARKING: Convenient REASON/INTENT: General shopping read more

The store is starting to look like less of a garage sale and has more inventory and no longer looks like it's going out of business.

This is my 3rd JC Photo in 2 years. My reason for changing locations you ask? I'm a stalker! Lauren is the photographer/managers name and making sure SHE takes my sons photos is my game! I had a bad experience with a photographer who didn't have much experience with kids and Lauren did her best to salvage my experience last year and I knew she was the one. We booked our next 2 appointments with her for Christmas photos and my sons birthdays photos and everything has been great since! I recommend using a groupon to find yourself a great deal. To further explain why I drove from the Southwest to the Galleria for photos (in case I wasn't clear enough).........LAUREN!! This location also had a staff that was extremely friendly friendly compared to the other two locations as well! read more

This store is a giant mess. I came here yesterday to buy a shirt for an important business event I'm attending this week. I was trying on shirts when I found a table of shirts that were on sale for $14.99. It said "SALE $14.99" on a large sign displayed next to the shirts. I asked the nearest employee if the shirts were indeed on sale at that price. She made no effort to check, without even looking toward the shirts she said "yes they are." Terrible customer service. I wasted time trying the shirt on. I proceeded to the checkout line, which was moving slowly due to the store being miserably understaffed. I finally got the the register. The shirt rang up for $44.99, not the sale price. I asked the cashier why the shirt was $44.99. I explained how both a sign and a staff member led me to believe the shirt was on sale. The cashier couldn't explain to me why there was a sign advertising the shirts to be on sale. When I asked why the employee told me they were on sale, the cashier asked "What was her name? Who told you that?" It is completely ridiculous to expect me to know the names of his coworker. The cashier was giving me an attitude. He was barely able to speak English, and I didn't appreciate his attitude considering his inability to communicate like an adult. I felt like I was talking to a child. I left the store and bought a nicer shirt at Macy's. read more

Great for coupons if you're a cardholder & my parents find many awesome, very inexpensive items cause of it. Mom & I were looking for Roman Shades. The blind/shades expert just stood there, shoulder length blond hair, Russian accent, didn't offer help just looked away. I had to walk over & ask her, do you work in this department? She looked up the 40% off Roman Shades in 47' & we were thrown shade... $311 for one... What? She said Roman Shades are very expensive, these were also made-to-measure and that it'd take at least two weeks, wtf? I understand they are expensive, but I am looking for standard fitted ones. If I wanted to have my whole house fitted for drapes that would be another story, which they've done for us twice so I do understand blinds & shades ma'am. We went to Bed Bath & Beyond around the corner & found the most amazing Roman Shades in excellent quality, colors & the blackout was included. JC Penneys charges more for blackout or room-darkening blinds & shades. Not to mention the 40% off discount at BB&B, I ended up buying four Roman Shades that were very simple to put up, look fitted and classy so read my review on BB&B for pix... grand total of $345! read more

Rarely do I go to J.C. Penney but since I was already at the mall I'd heard about some good sales here I decided to have a look The store really is just plain nothing special but is clean and organized. Seemed to have plenty of staffing on hand. I shopped for quite a while hoping something would catch my eye... nothing So J. C. I moved from California. JCPenney seems to be slowly disappearing from that state. So glad to see them out here! It's one of my favorite stores because of the huge selection of men's clothing - jeans, t-shirts, formal wear, jackets, shoes, socks, underwear, and more. AND at good prices. I came here a couple of weeks ago and found some great shirts on the clearance rack. There were plenty of dressing rooms and a good number of friendly staff available. read more

DO NOT ORDER FROM JCPENNY EVER!!!!!! Here's why... HIGHLY dissatisfied with JCPENNY and their customer service or LACK THEREOF! I had ordered a bulk order for my son's and daughter 12/16/2019 to of course be shipped in time or Christmas. I logged in online to confirm my order status and low and behold PART of my order had been CANCELED without any notification/email/phone call or EXPLANATION! I printed both of these cancelations via online and proceeded to go in store 12/19/2019 to find out what the F had happened since no one wanted to notify me. In store customer service didn't seem to have a clue either as to WHY so they re-ordered the ITEMS that got canceled. The lady was nice enough to allow me to use a "COUPON" that successfully went through and I left the store confused but mildly satisfied as they tried to fix the problem. So naturally at this point I'm assuming my order was being shipped (on the 19th)... FAST FORWARD to 12/28/2019. 3 ridiculous days AFTER Christmas and I called my kids to see if they've received their package and still NOTHING. Naturally I call JCPENNY AGAIN to see why it has taken 12 days to receive an order that should have been delivered well before Christmas but has not been delivered AT ALL.. It is now the 28th, and I'm talking to Customer service and she begins to tell me that because the coupon that was applied on 12/19 was apparently not APPLICABLE to the order, they canceled the order entirely without my knowledge. I received ZERO notification of this cancelation, ZERO phone call or email of this and my kids are with out their Christmas gifts. Not only that, JCPENNY has done nothing to rectify this situation or make it right. No apology, no reimbursement, no re-ordering of my purchase, NOTHING!!! DO NOT ORDER FROM JCPENNY, and to be quite honest I don't plan on putting money back into that store for anything ever again. 12/28 and then I try to email their support team and they block my email ... read more

JCPenney is usually a store I walk through to shop in their Sephora. Of course I browse items when making my way. The store is very clean. Shopping here sometimes is a hit or miss. I will say we have found some great deals during sale days. Service here is also so so. We happen to be walking up to a register when the cashier did a magic trick... Now you see him. Now you don't. I wish that had more variety.. the selection wasn't great. But we managed to get our Christmas shopping done in one store. We had gift cards plus a sale & we were on a budget. The store was very busy even at 10pm, it was a week before Christmas. So its to be expected. Our cashier was great with the 6 different transactions we did. Thumbs up dude. Keep it up. read more

This store is big and has a good selection. That's the positives hence the two stars. Any time you try to call with a question or about a specific item you are lucky if you can get anyone to answer the phone. If you do, they don't know anything about it product and try to transfer you to another department to which no one answers. So that's the review based on calling. Now on to my most recent in store visit. We came in just to by a few small apparel items. Made the selection then went to check out. Went to five different registers with no employees in sight. FINALLY found one register open with one single cashier that was overwhelmed with ringing people up and answering the phones on top of about 10 people. I've never seen a store like this where you can literally find no employees to help you with anything. Picture below is the example of every register. read more

I love jcp but this one is kinda small. the pictures posted show the jcp that is on valley view & the 95 by the spaghetti bowl. . . PLEASE NOTE: theres no SEPHORA at the jcp in hendo or in the entire galleria for that matter. I love jcp for all the sales they put on. The other day I went and bought $70 worth of stuff for $24. You cant beat that. I got a new nightie, and 2 new shirts. they had jeans on sale but I can see why THOSE were on sale. ugly . and i realized something. . JEANS: the juniors section jeans are too low for someone in her early 30's. . (ok I'm 31) but the women's jeans looked like pajama jeans and are way bigger than I thought they'd be. So where do I buy jeans that arent pajama jeans and arent so low they dont even have a rise to measure? I like the dress section, most of the time. Youcan find some nice day dresses here that wont break the bank and you can add some variety to your closet. I dont like the shoe selection at all or purses. for purses go to the outlet malls, for shoes head to macy's! and for day dresses head to jcp! :) read more

Black Friday deceit. Walked into JcPenny on Black Friday afternoon saw a sign the said in big font sweatshirts $14.99 the front sweatshirt on the rack was a Naruto sweatshirt, one of my son's favorite anime characters. I thought great deal I'm getting this. Shopped around a little more then got in line. Waited in line for over 30 minutes the sweatshirt rang up for $29.99 i told the cashier that the sign said $14.99 we took her back to the rack where there were two other shirts the same as the one I was purchasing on the rack ........as she show us the sign come to find out there was fine print showing the more expensive items on the rack with a lesser deal... the cashier was rude about it as well.... Jcpenny I see why you are going out of business and are said to be shut down by the end of next year.... This kind of retail deceit is beyond ridiculous! I will NEVER step foot in JcPenny again. Sad to say when I was younger I worked for this company For three years! It was a fantastic company we would never try to deceive our customer! We treated them with kindness and respect.... Bye bye JcPenny you will NEVER SEE ME AGAIN! read more

I wish the anti coupon thing had stuck, since I'm a man that doesn't clip coupons and have to rely on my wife to know when I need to bring one. Their photography services are abominably complicated and inept. They cannot deliver as promised. Feeling ripped off as we were talked into buying $100 package after walking in with a $10 Groupon. This JC Penny is horrible. My daughter and I were standing in line to purchase items for vacation and the associate was finishing up helping another family so we walked closer to them as they were leaving. Then the associate forgot to scan one of their items so we had to wait for her to fix her mistake, but that wasn't the problem. The problem was the associate actually called another person to come help her check out and that other associate totally ignored my daughter and I (who had been waiting there now for about 15 minutes) then as other customers started showing up the second associate started calling them forward to help them instead of us AND when the first associate was finally done fixing her mistake she was rude to my daughter and I calling other people up to help them instead of us because we weren't in the exact line she wanted us to be in. Her behavior caused other customers to actually start fighting with my daughter and I and attacking us because they wanted to check out. This was absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. My daughter was getting sick from shopping all day and that was our last stop so she was about ready to pass out and the associate made it so much worse. I did call for a floor manager and she was professional about what happened, but I honestly feel that nothing will be done about the situation that was caused by two of their associates that are supposedly highly trained in customer service. read more

This is a review for the portrait studio. I bought a $25 groupon for the sitting, prints, and a 3-picture CD First, it was incredibly difficult to find! All the employees I asked kept saying "it is in the back right corner," which it is, but it was still incredibly hard to find. It's tucked in a little corner next to the salon, but you can only see the "portrait" sign if you are coming directly at it. If you are coming through the guy's section, you have to turn right once you hit the salon, but there are no overhead signs for it. When I went in precisely at my appointment time (12.20), the photographer was still finishing up with the people ahead of me. Having worked in a medical office for many years, I didn't mind, as I know that one person who's late can set your entire day back. However, a couple showed up just after me, and they said their appointment was at 12.30. That seems awfully tight to me. I felt really rushed - the photographer shot 9 pictures total with 2 backgrounds. There's no mirror to check your hair or makeup in. The pictures came out "fine" and I didn't need anything fancy - just a few head & shoulders shots for applications. It all worked out fine for what I paid, but I just can't imagine how irritated I would have been if I had paid full price. read more

I have to say that I am a big fan of JC Penney's at Galleria. I hadn't been in there in a long time, until a recent trip took me in there looking for some clothes for an interview. Turns out they have a fabulous plus sized department, even if it is hidden upstairs in the homewares section! It seems that everything is always on sale - on top of their already low prices. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the lines aren't usually too long. There is also a Sephora in this location, which is pretty cool if you need perfume or make up. The shoe department has seen better days, but what do you want?! They also recently remodeled the home section, and it has a pretty cool vibe. Overall, they have a great selection of items and decent prices. Even better when you find things on sale! I will definitely be back, often! read more

We always shop @ Jc Penney but this is not one of their better locations. The one in Reno was much nicer and had a larger selection. The Galleria JCP needs a major make over or something. It almost feels like a rummage or a yard sale. There's stuff thrown every where and its kinda hard to find your size in most things that they carry. The lay out in the women's section is atrocious. If you want to try something on you need to go across the way to their (juniors) area. The store is messy. The fitting room is severely ignored. No. Were they cleaning the disgusting fitting room? No. Were they doing anything to deserve even a one star rating? No! They were laughing and joking around, which I totally support for morale but not when customers or the store are being taken for granted. Shameful. read more
