Unfortunately I had been given raw food and was made to feel guilty for wanting good food. The bartender took my order and never made anything of needing to request salmon to be cooked fully. Unaware I ate my salad n kept digging at the salmon until I accepted that it was raw. I asked her if I was wrong and she agreed it was raw. She took it to the back to turn around and come back to ask what I want to replace it with and still had the salad in her hand. I asked for it to be remade. She goes so you want the salmon med well. I asked," was my salad supposed to be like that." She said she put it med and it needed to be put med well. I never in my life had to ask for a salmon to be fully cooked. I don't think that I'll be returning because of this and because the way she made me feel guilty for asking salmon to be fully cooked. Worst part of all is I would have loved the salad if I wasnt made to feel guilty. I was alone n she shamed me for wanting my food cooked and not get food poisoning.

Plus we got the boiled shrimp, corn and potatoes. I really liked the sauce with it. The grilled flounder was well seasoned. The dirty rice was ok - seasoned a little different than what we're use to in the south. Wish they had some other drink options..maybe that's coming soon or it's BYOB. Either way, I'd come back if in the area.

Ordered the kid's pancake for her but she also wanted eggs. I was going to share mine but the waiter talked me into ordering a separate scrambled egg and I'm glad he did because I ate every bit of my "Feel Good Omelette". It was so GOOD! The mixture of veggies was perfection! They sprinkled some kind of magic salt on top that brought the flavors together. My granddaughter enjoyed her meal so much she kept saying how delicious it all was as she devoured it all.

We received chips and salsa after sitting down at the table. The chips were very good - made from homemade tortillas, I am pretty sure. The salsas were hot and not hot. Also good. I ordered the grilled salmon with a roll and a "salad." The salad was merely lettuce with a hunk of tomato on top. But it was fresh lettuce. The salmon was delicious! It was cooked perfectly and had good flavor. It sat on a bed of rice with some grilled peppers and onions. I enjoyed the rice as well. The roll was so so. The price was very reasonable. Bill got the shrimp stuffed Pablono pepper (I think it was called a Chile Relleno, but not sure). It was flavorful. The beans were good and so was the rice. The tortillas were homemade and very good. The decor was interesting - I especially like the wooden medallion and the shell hangings. (See photos). All in all, it was a good meal and reasonable prices. The service was excellent. My only warning is for those with mobility issues. My husband is not able to walk much and uses a walker and I sometimes have to push him in his walker, so I was a bit worried about getting him in and out. The parking is across the street (any parking spaces next to the building were full - none marked handicapped the I could see). The entrance door has some large humps that interfere with wheels getting over them so I got stuck pushing him across. Lucky for us, a couple of the men guests in the restaurant helped me to get him in. There is also no handicap restroom so he could not use the facilities. Hi
