Now that I've ridden it a few days, it is living up to all he told me. I had a long trip to pick up the bike and I ran late. Kyle and Pat stayed a little while after closing to close out the sale and give me the bike. But more than that they lent me a ramp to load it up, helped me tie it down better than I could have done and even sold me the straps I needed to do it. Pat and Kyle are awesome and If I ever move to Tulsa, I know who I'm going to do business with.

I ended up buying the V85 without even test riding. He offered a good deal, made into a great deal by the addition of some upgrades and modifications at no additional installation charge. This is a family business, run by a father (Steve), and son (Brandon). Amy is part of the family, too, although we didn't meet and I am not sure of the relationship. In an attempt to make an appointment to get this looked at for a warranty service I was told they don't make appointments! For "services" they make appointments but not for repairs. They stated that I would drop the bike off and they would get to it in three or four weeks. I asked again if I could just make an appointment for three or four weeks from now. I was told no they don't do that... Are you kidding?? Apparently, 5th Gear prefers Tulsa residents to shop at Eurotek in OKC.

I scheduled service to have the rear wheels on my lawnmower (less than 3 years old) repaired - they…read moreweren't rolling in reverse freely. Tulsa Powersports were booked 2 weeks out, but i set an appointment anyway because they're the only Honda repair place i could find locally. When i showed up 2 weeks later, it was like i had snuck up on them. They didn't know who i was or why i was there, and the salesperson filled out a new ticket for my repair. He said it would take a week or two. About 2 weeks later i got a call that the work was done, and came back to pick up the mower. I was charged nearly $200 for the "repair," but i saw little improvement in the wheels' movement. I asked for a refund which they issued, and they asked if they could attempt to make it right by actually repairing the mower's wheel issue. I agreed and was impressed at their integrity at this point. They said it would be a few more weeks. After about a month, I hadn't heard anything so I called the shop for an update, and the salesperson said the mower was ready, that the mechanic who had "repaired" the mower previously had misdiagnosed the issue, but he assured me it was fixed this time. I showed up today, and was charged the same price as before, nearly $200 (they are asking $450 for their brand new mowers). The salesperson commented that I wouldn't be charged for the labor for both of the "repairs," as if i should be thankful, and he wheeled out the mower. The wheels' movement hasn't improved since the last visit. I asked the salesperson if he would be happy receiving this quality of service for this price and he responded, "yes." It gave me everything i need to know about this operation. Zero integrity. Zero accountability. I would suggest heading elsewhere for any repairs you may need.
