I recently purchased my first BMW motorcycle and plan to continue with the brand. My bike has been serviced here for its initial service and a 3000k oil change. I noticed an issue with the quickshifter and some difficulties with the gearbox the last month after the service. In an attempt to make an appointment to get this looked at for a warranty service I was told they don't make appointments! For "services" they make appointments but not for repairs. They stated that I would drop the bike off and they would get to it in three or four weeks. I asked again if I could just make an appointment for three or four weeks from now. I was told no they don't do that... Are you kidding?? Apparently, 5th Gear prefers Tulsa residents to shop at Eurotek in OKC. read more

Going above and beyond...the team at 5th Gear Cycle really came through for me during the Black Wall Street Bike Rally. I had issue starting my due to a bad fuel relay fuse and they delivered the part to me. I was not only relieved that I could ride back to Memphis, but I was now able to enjoy the rest of the rally. read more

They are a local dealer who used to be owned by motorcycle racers and enthusiasts. Those guys are gone, however. The people who work there now seem to be uninformed and really not interested in any problems you may have with your machine. They are too busy to put tires on your bike, too busy to answer any tech questions. The service manager was pretty rude and dismissing. I'll not darken their door again. read more

Found myself in need of a spacer to complete the battery replacement on my bike. I'd just come from Route 66 where they told me they haven't used spacers on their batteries "for years" even though they sold me the bike 3 years ago. I figured I'd stop in even though by now I thought it'd be fruitless. They didn't have the one I needed but the Parts Clerk pulled a package out of his desk that had two I knew would work with slight modifications. When I asked how much I owed them he said "take them" I was shocked. He went on even further to say if I do right by you you'll come back and he is absolutely correct. I really do appreciate their level of customer service and look forward to visiting this business again and again BTW My bike is up and running perfectly. read more

I recently purchased a used Yamaha V Star from 5th Gear Cycle. The staff was very knowledgeable without being pushy. I just wanted to browse and they let me do that and answered all of my questions without acting like I was wasting their time. I ended up going back with my wife and she picked out the bike and was very impressed with Eric our sales professional. Eric worked around my work schedule to make the purchase trouble free even though it had to be conducted over several days because of my schedule. I will definitely refer my friends and colleagues to this dealership. read more

Here's what you can expect if you drop $80k+ on a boat: I purchased out of state and they misrepresented features by about $8k Terrible customer service Boat wasn't prepped for the water No help with shipping or even prepping it to be shipped. No help with shipping No manuals No warranty info The glovebox came locked with no keys- they assured me the ignition keys would work and that I was doing it wrong (as if I don't know how a key works?) Then they said the shipping company must have stolen the keys. I eventually called a locksmith and he drilled out the lock and found the keys inside. I haven't been reimbursed for the locksmith and don't have a replacement lock. In fact, they won't even return my calls. This boat has a touchscreen and has many features that aren't intuitive and that I can't even use without a manual or some kind of instruction. If this is their customer service after spending $80,000 I can only imagine how they would treat you if you only spent $15k on a motorcycle- maybe they will kick it over in the driveway and spit on it for you. read more

WARNING!!!!!!!!!!! I purchased a Polaris Ranger from another dealership just a few weeks ago. 5th Gear is my local dealer so I was trying to use them for servicing my Ranger. First of all my axle snapped by driving across a field. Never should this have happened. I thought it to be strange so I do some research online and I find out this seems to be the number one complaint. I call Polaris and speak to a manager the following day and he leads me to believe it's no big deal and they'll probably warranty it. They advised me to take it to my local dealership and the dealer will handle the rest. The next day first thing in the morning I drive 30 minutes to the dealership and the service manager says he will take that pictures and send it to Polaris but they probably won't cover it. Then he says he wants to charge me almost $100.00 to take the pictures to send to Polaris! I asked him why he would charge me and his response is he needs to take the rear end apart. The axle shaft broke. You can see it no problem without taking anything apart at all. I felt he was just trying to take almost $100.00 for no reason. I leave with my machine and nothing done because I feel as if I'm getting ripped off. I immediately call Polaris and they seem to be blown away that a dealership would do such a thing and they admitted repeatedly that this is not standard practice but each dealership is independently owned and they have the right to charge whatever they want basically. So I speak to the rep at Polaris. He felt bad for my experience at 5th gear so he had me take the pictures MYSELF and send it to him directly. The next day I go to drop my side by side back off to 5th gear so they have it when the warranty work is approved and the same service guy tried to charge me again between spitting his chewing tobacco spit in the trash can. I'm not making this up! He hands me a bill of almost $100.00 and I tell him that there shouldn't be a charge and that I've already sent the pictures into Polaris and he replies to me that HE didn't send the pictures in so he's charging me. I argued that I didn't want the pictures sent so he told me to sign it anyways and all it meant was that he was accepting my vehicle. I read right under the signature and the first sentence says I agree to the charges above or something to that affect!!! LOL. I again take my machine with me and call Polaris and they can't believe what I'm telling them. Twice I drive 30 minutes there and 30 minutes back and not leave my machine to get fixed. My machine broke on a Sunday and it is now a Thursday and still nothing has been done. I feel as if 5th gear are just trying to steal my money for no reason at all and they are a bunch of crooks! Never again will I ever step foot in that place again. read more
