My response to "Lifetime Transmission" review feedback. My bad, it had 24k miles when the transmisaion blewup!! Yes, I had my truck regeared to 436/37 as requested. Their disclaimer say within 14 days, I had it done within 30-45 days. Its not easy to find a shop, have them schedule it in, and do the work. So according to them, the extra 30 days and 150-200 driving miles on 37 inch tires ruined their "LIFETIME TRANSMISSION"!! Seriously, what a joke. Mind you that I drove the truck 175,000 miles with 37 inch tires!! I did not have the receipt, and the shop that did the Gearing work is under new name/ownership, so it has a new invoicing system and cannot get me a receipt. HOWEVER, "LIFETIME TRANSMISSION" knows the people at the shop. So I asked them to call the shop and verbally confirm the regearing. Mind you its a shop that they have worked with before.... they said not good enough... WOW. SO I asked, well can you please look at the vehicle and have your mechanics confirm it is regeared....they said not good enough.....WOW. In retrospect, when I went back and looked at reviews from Google, Yelp, Carfax and others.... there are other people who have had similar issues. You have to find them in the fluff reviews from their staff- I am sure. But those reviews are there..... and based on my experience they are likely real!!! Final word, I do not recommend "LifeTime" Transmission!! Horrible company, horrible people, poor workmanship, and they will find any excuse to void your warranty!!

I have a 2017 Silverado with 6 speed automatic transmission. I did flushes every 30k as dealer…read moresuggested but it still went out at just over 125,000. The dealers fix was to replace whole transmission but after shopping around I decided to go with Lifetime Transmissions. It was a little higher than other shops but the lifetime warranty is included in the price. Staff was friendly, helpful, and gave me peace of mind that the rebuild was going to be done right. Bonus, I also got to keep my original transmission. Lifetime put better parts and calibrated my transmission to where I don't have to worry about it going out in another 125k. Valerie was very thorough about maintaining the transmission for the lifetime warranty. The process was simple and straightforward, and my Silverado was back on the road very quickly. Turns out the leak from mom's older maxima that started from an oil filter changed months ago that was loose and started with a leak on the floor. They tightened the filter and replaced the drain plug gasket that is supposed to be replaced every oil change. (Thanks Jiffy lube) no charge for the oil leak!! Ever heard of that?! They also changed a couple of routine maintenance items that were 19 years old. We cannot recommend Ian's enough and have told family and friends! Visited there for a tire rotation and battery purchase and fifteen minutes into the work I was told they stripped a lug nut and were waiting for a replacement to arrive. No problem. They made a mistake and owned it. A few minutes later I hear the unmistakable sound of a ball peen hammer striking steel, and this sound repeats twenty times or more. Upon a look at the garage I realize it's my vehicle's brake drum he's beating on. When I walked and stood at the bay entrance, he suspended the hammering and retrieved the proper tool for drum removal and wah-lah, the drum practically jumped off the hub. Then the tire tech attempted to thread the wrong replacement lug nut on the new bolt and was about to use the impact wrench to force it, that is until I intervened and told him the thread pattern had to be incorrect. He went away and upon return exclaimed "The bin was labeled wrong!" Again, wah-lah, the correct nut fit just like magic! At this point I'd had enough and passed on the battery purchase. Before the tire tech attempted to back my truck from the bay, I heard the service manager caution him to remove the floor jack from behind the truck before backing. I'm not sure he had forgotten the jack, but I offered instead to back my own truck out. I then had to remove the leveling blocks from beneath where they were dropped from the frame rails. I have myself to blame because I visited there three years ago with this same truck and discovered after leaving the shop they took my locking lug nuts and put non-locking nuts in place of them. I'm sure it was intentional because the lug nut key was also missing, so deduced their service tech needed them more than the rightful owner. At the next service Brad told me they'd replace the lug nuts, but looking into Brad's eyes, I could tell he was making an empty promise he couldn't, or wouldn't, fulfill. He took my cell number and stated he'd call when they arrived, but I never heard from him, or them! So much the better because they'll never hear from me, nor my referral business, ever again!
