Earlier this month my son's car had a repair at Christian Brothers on 81st costing $1600. Then the battery died and was replaced, then the car died like the alternator was out. Christian Brothers then did a diagnostic on it for $175, and concluded various things needed replaced, including the alternator, positive battery cable, fuse, and more... with the estimate of $1500. -- We paused at that at got recommendations. We had the car towed to Atlas Automotive Repair. They repaired the car in a day for the cost of $170 and showed us what part they replaced and why. The owners started this company after working at various automotive places as they saw businesses cheat customers, and they just wanted to be fair and honest. They do very little advertising as word of mouth gives them business. - Here's MY shout-out about Atlas Automotive Repair! (Also, they were comedians there. Our son called and asked about his car and the guy was, oh yeah, the one that caught fire, yeah. Just kidding. And another guy called and asked Stefan if he wanted his car back or not. Stefan was confused, and the guy said he could pick up his car and pay for it, or leave it there if he wanted. Nice, down to earth guys/comedians!) Comparing the cost of $1500 to $170 - what an honest place to have your car repaired!!!!! read more
