We had a to reschedule a few times due to rain, but when they were finally able to make it out on a rain-free day they promptly fixed the issue. I also had them remove an old satellite and an antenna from the roof, which they did for a reasonable amount extra. Overall, I would recommend them for any roof repairs.

The company initially responded quickly and installed a tarp to protect the home from additional rain damage. Unfortunately, my experience went downhill from there. I was initially provided an invoice for one amount. After my insurance adjuster became involved and met with the roofing company, I received another invoice only three days later that was approximately $4,000 higher--even though there had been no corresponding change to the scope of work. My insurance adjuster also noticed that the price being charged for wood had increased within those few days. Then, after the work was completed, we received yet another invoice for an even higher amount. In total, this company gave us three different prices for essentially the same scope of work. The price increased after insurance became involved, and then increased again afterward. We repeatedly questioned these increases and did not receive an adequate explanation for why the same work continued to cost more. Even more concerning, I signed a proposal for an agreed-upon scope and amount and was given my copy. The company's version later reflected a higher amount than the document I had signed. Additional charges continued to appear throughout the process. I also found discrepancies between what was billed and what I could verify was actually completed. For example, the amount of plywood billed did not appear to correspond with the square footage or photographic documentation. Several items included within the agreed scope of work were not completed. The gutter guards were another issue. I did not request new gutter guards. I was told they were being installed at no additional charge, and I have Ring footage documenting that conversation. The company later attempted to charge me for them. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company. Carefully document every conversation, keep your original copies of everything you sign, compare every invoice against the original scope of work, and verify that the work being billed was actually performed. I have documentation supporting my experience, including the three different prices/invoices, my copy of the signed proposal, photographs, communications, and Ring footage. I have also reported my concerns to the Better Business Bureau. I would not use this company again, and I would strongly caution others before signing anything or allowing this company to handle an insurance-related project.

We are on the third floor of a walk up condo, and we have a private rooftop deck. We started…read moregetting leaks in the ceiling in two places in our kitchen, and called about a half a dozen places in and around the city to come out and assess. The proposals were all over the place. Some companies said it couldn't be done without ripping off the rooftop deck and repairing everything. Some companies said it wasn't the roof at all, it was condensation inside the house? Jeff at Rollin Contracting was way more honest and practical in his assessment. He pointed out where he suspected the two leaks were coming from, but said that you never really know until you rip up the roof and move the air conditioner and take a look. He told us that roof repair was tricky, that the guys who said we might have to replace the whole roof could be right. But he wouldn't start with that, he would start with the less expensive approach. Granted, there was the risk that if it didn't work, we would have wasted that money when they re-did the whole roof, but we decided to gamble on a $2000 repair rather than jump into the $12,000 repair of the whole roof. Rollin Contracting was the only one who was honest and open and gave us options. He was also the one who was most confident in where he thought the leaks were coming from. It has now been one month since they repaired both potential sources of the leak, and neither of the leaks have come back. And in case you haven't been paying attention, we've gotten absolutely drenched this May. Meaning there is no doubt in my mind that they successfully fixed the leaks. The contractors that came to do the work were great, they didn't even enter the house. I offered to let them come inside to get to the rooftop, and they said they preferred to just go up and over to keep our house clean. While taking up the wooden boards on the rooftop deck to do the roof repair, they accidentally broke one of the boards. They went to Home Depot and replaced the board that day. Not a big deal, and super quick to fix it. Also, at the last minute (after we had signed the contract), I realized that I had forgotten to ask them about the fireplace, which also occasionally drips water during bad storms. I asked Jeff if he would have his guys look at the chimney to see if they could identify the source of the potential leak and to let me know what his recommendations were to have that fixed as well. He went ahead and had his guys caulk it while they were up there without even charging us. I know that's probably not a huge expense, but it was still a nice gesture to just throw that in. So across the board it was a great experience. Would definitely work with these guys again and recommend them with confidence.

Please think twice before hiring this contractor - it will not be worth it if there are any uncertainties re: your project and they will say anything to get your job. We hired Jeff to perform some deck work for our three flat. Jeff quoted us $6K to replace certain posts and railings. One year later, additional work was clearly required because railings were loose and Jeff performed an additional $3K worth of work. At no time to Jeff represent himself as anything other than qualified to perform the work. Turns out he never even got a permit for the work. We were cited by the city for non-compliance shortly after his second round of work. He complied with fixing some of the issues identified. When he met with the inspector to review the work and confirm compliance, he essentially yelled, screamed, stormed off and refused to fix any of the additional work. We are now left with a deck that still needs work, $12K later. Jeff continues not to respond to emails/requests for him to finish his work. Jeff misrepresented his ability to do deck work according to city law and code. His unprofessionalism in resolving the issue that he created (he should have just said his people didnt do deck work maybe instead of doing a poor job and then getting upset when someone challenged him to do the work properly) was so disappointing. Do not work with this contractor.
