I only went in for a little bit(less than 8 minutes coz Hubby is hurrying me up. The staff are so friendly & helpful I saw sapodilla, mangoes, jujube, guavas, papayas, tamarind, and of course , mangoes right at the entrance. The prices are $$$ but what did you expect? It's not easy or quick to grow these amazing plants, trees-- otherwise we would all be doing it. I would love to visit when Hubby isn't hurrying me up

When we realized that and called her back she said she can't do anything about. Not even check with her employee or admit it's her employee mistake. She only wants to make sure she got her money . No loyalty no exception. This lady is a greedy person. Please don't go buy from her nursery. Giving good deals doesnt mean you can treat other poorly. In addition, she would hang up on you when you call to resolve the problem. What kind of business that has such poor customer service and problem solving skills. Hope you come on a good day otherwise she most lightly treat you like just another number.

The reason why - and I have to point this out because the store is named Rooted - is most of the neon pothos did not look too healthy aside from one plant in a 6" pot (larger than what I was looking for). In fact, many of the plants were rather middling, with soil looking dry when most inventory are tropical houseplants. Was it the heat at the time I visited or negligence? I'm not sure, but even with seemingly fair prices as plant shops go (4" philodendron Brazil was $12), it's harder to buy a plant that looks sickly. In addition to plants, Rooted also carries housewares and refills for shampoo, body wash, etc. I can't speak to the prices because I have a similar store within walking distance that I typically bring my dispensers to.

The staff is generally helpful, though I did have an awkward experience at checkout. When I mentioned the weight of an item, the staff member questioned the accuracy several times. I wasn't sure if she was new or if there was some hesitation in trusting the information I provided. She said she was "just trying to make sure it was right," but it felt unnecessary and a bit uncomfortable. It might make more sense for staff to weigh items themselves to avoid situations like this. Overall, it's a pleasant store, but the inconsistent availability and that checkout experience make me unsure if I'll return.

It even has an outdoor area that could have been a backyard. When I first walked in, it felt like I was stepping back into the '70's. A lot of brown and orange hues. Once you pass the front counter on your left, you feel like you're stepping into someone's living room. There's a couch, coffee table, dial television set, and the record player is blasting '70's music from their collection of vinyl. The first room on the left sells clothes, plants, etc. The second small room next to it has a large picture of KISS plastered on the walls, between the selection of boots and jackets. If you keep walking towards the back, there's a room to your right where the record player is. After exiting that room, you walk into the main room and a large selection of vinyl for sale near the back. They sell used and new merchandise. Everything from used clothes to new jewelry, paintings, artwork, and everything in between. Like I said, there's a large outdoor patio where they sell patio furniture, pots, plants and other outdoor decoration. There is really a lot to take in, and everything is affordable. I saw something I liked that cost $9.50, but I asked myself where I was going to put it. The gal at the front counter was friendly. They take Apple Pay. Located on Orange Avenue, in the Eastern section of Long Beach California, this business is a little bit off of the beaten path. It's actually a truly unique neighborhood. Though it's basically a residential area, there's a number of unique businesses right around Goods on Orange. So, you can easily grab a meal, or a coffee, or a little bit of something else once you come to the area this business is located within. Once inside, you are overwhelmed with a plethora of all kinds of everything. It's truly a visual experience to walk into this business. They have a lot of great everything. I can't say that enough, because you truly never know what you are going to find when you go in. The staff here are all super nice, so if you have any questions, they're happy to help you out with whatever they can. In terms of pricing, they're very fair. Sure, you can maybe find cheaper prices at a thrift store. But, at a thrift shop you're never guaranteed that you're will find the best of the best like is available at this business. And, that's what this shop offers, the best of the best. In terms of parking, street parking is your best bet. On weekends, you may have to walk a little bit, because, as stated, there is a number of other businesses directly surrounding Goods on Orange. But, it's a good way to get your steps in.
