This is our favorite lunch spot in PG, almost like a hidden little gem! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is warmly decorated and setup to feel like eating at someone's home almost.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very comfortable, they have soft couch like chairs, large tables for studying areas, and high tops.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This is by far the best hummus I've ever had. The service is always immaculate. We drove one day just so i could get hummus and he was out, however, he went out of his way and offered to make us a batch. Top shelf service! They have a variety of foods from international plates to even a good chicken salad sandwich. Their desserts are always amazing! Get the Nutella dessert :). They also have all types of drinks, cappuccinos, coffees, etc. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great place to come relax, study or just have a great lunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

One of our go to cafes close to home. Great tasting coffee and their home made quiches are a must! Friendly staff that always makes time to chat with you if they're not too busy.

A cozy little place in Deep Creek, if you're not looking for it, you will probably miss this gem of cafe. The decor fits the theme of the café. The staff are great and bring the food to your table with a smile. I ordered the Bacon Mama (BLT) with sourdough bread which make the sandwich bigger. Bacon was in every bite which every sandwich wish it could say that. 2 thumbs up!

    Must try the borek!

If I could give this place six stars, I absolutely would. We stopped in on a whim while driving by, just looking for a small bite, and left completely blown away. The service was incredible, and since it is a family-owned business, we had the chance to meet the family. They were some of the kindest and sweetest people you could ever hope to meet. The food was just as impressive, with everything tasting freshly baked and cooked. The standout dish was the mozzarella, feta, cream cheese, and spinach borek. We decided to try it after seeing the sign that said it was the best, and it truly lived up to the claim. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside had the cutest décor, it was cozy and spotless, and there was ample parking which made it even more convenient.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If I lived closer, I would be here every day. What a hidden gem!

Second time here. Enjoyable to stop for coffee & a sandwich. Judy & I both had the Deep Creek with toasted sourdough, bacon, turkey, mayo, scrambled eggs and compressed toasted. It was excellent! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambience is better than homey. Wooden floors & group or couple tables with seats around coffee table. Background music and prompt service[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. We were tempted but didn't. . . On their yummy bakery. Well, judy couldn't resist a fresh from the oven beef Borek pastry along with sides of their crisp Mediterranean dill pickle, Tahini and crushed cold tomatoes. Back again in a couple weeks.

Loved this little cafe! The staff were so friendly, the owner ended up coming over and spent some time with our group and gave us a free dish. The food was delicious as well. I ordered the lemon muffin, and ham and cheese croissant and iced coffee. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The cafe was also very spacious, offering a lot of seating for large groups as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would definitely recommend coming here!

Another fabulous experience at JB's Corner Cafe. This place never disappoints. My wife and I enjoyed two cappuccino's and a piece of spinach quiche. As always the quiche was phenomenal. So creamy and delicious. As we were enjoying the quiche and cappuccino's they delivered a dessert borek on the house. This was the perfect combination of thin, crispy filo dough and Nutella with what looked like pistachios crumbles on the top. Very delicious. The service was superb as always. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere and ambiance here is always pleasurable and comfy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The China the cappuccinos and food are served in and on are beautiful works of art.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will always come back to JB's!

Everything is excellent! You must get the Borek! I didn't even know what it was but we tried it and went back the next week to get more. I wish we had this back home. The latte is one of the best we've ever had and we've tried tons of coffee shops lol. It has a great balance of espresso and milk and is so flavorful. All the pastries are delicious as well. You can tell everything is made fresh. The staff is wonderful. They're so welcoming, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is warm and inviting. They use beautiful antique china for plates and cups.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely worth a visit, you won't be disappointed here!!!

Excellent breakfast spot with coffee. Coffee was spot on. Delicious Borek. Owner is super friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Vibe is laid back, clean, welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will definitely be coming back.

    The Deep Creek

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is such a darling, cozy spot![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We each had a breakfast sandwich on yummy bagels (Deep Creek and Punta Gorda), coffee, and couldn't resist also sharing a cinnamon roll. The server behind the counter was charming and friendly, and the food and coffee were delicious! Don't miss out on this little treasure of a place. Edited to add: We will certainly be back if we are in the area again!

What a Gem ! On our last day in SW FL we stopped by this cafe and had a wonderful meal. The Borek and Falafel platter is to die for. I wish we had place like this in NJ/NY area... The pistachio pastry was amazing way to end the meal with house cappuccino. The owner Michael was a very friendly host. We will definitely be coming back soon!!!!!!

She found Leroy's Southern Kitchen & Bar in Punta Gorda, and let me tell you this place isn't a restaurant it's a whole Saturday night experience! I walked in thinking there had to be a festival, birthday party, or somebody famous in town. Nope! That's just how they roll every Saturday. Live music, people dancing, everyone smiling I started wondering if they slipped happiness into the sweet tea. Now the wife ordered the Nevermind Pressed Burger with extra cheese and black coffee steak sauce. NEVERMIND?? More like Never mind my diet! One bite then another then another and suddenly her plate looked like the dishwasher had already been there. The burger was cooked perfectly, juicy, cheesy, and that steak sauce should be illegal in at least 12 states. Meanwhile, I ordered the 10 oz. Skirt Steak with jasmine rice, carrots, green onions, and their house made Asian marinade. Listen whoever made that sauce I need the recipe, your autograph, and your retirement plan. I was this close to asking for a to go cup so I could pour it on my cereal tomorrow morning. Mama mia that steak disappeared faster than my paycheck after my wife says, Let's just stop at one more store. Then dessert happened. We saw our neighbors order the homemade Banana Nilla Pudding special. My wife looked at me with that look that says, We're getting one. Fellas you already know that's not a suggestion. Well she got one. I got exactly three bites. THREE! ‍ By the time I looked back, the jar was cleaner than the windows at a car wash. Dear Lord now I understand why my doctor keeps telling me to watch my sugar. That pudding almost had me scheduling my next A1C appointment from the table. The live band had me singing songs from back in the day don't ask which ones. Some of y'all are detectives and I'm not giving away my age! And a huge shout-out to Athena! She knew that menu like she wrote it herself. Friendly, funny, attentive she made us feel like regulars even though it was our first visit. So thank you, Uncle Leroy! Between the food, the music, the atmosphere, and my wife stealing 97% of the dessert, this was the perfect way to end an unforgettable Father's Day getaway. Five stars. Come hungry leave happy and if you order the Banana Nilla Pudding, order TWO. One for your wife and one that you hide under the table. Trust me.

Ok! I got dressed up and walked over there. My table was ready on time; it was in the lounge area of the restaurant. They offered me the table or said I could sit at the bar. I opted to sit at the bar. The bar was almost full but people were leaving. Apparently people eat early there. The bartender was swamped but smiled and got me a glass of water. Soon I had menus. I like that they have a regular menu as well as a specials menu, including the usual cocktails and some special cocktails. I ordered the conquest, which seemed like a twist on an old fashioned. They offered bread or focaccia bread, I declined. And heads up- bread service is not included. It's an up charge. Normally I don't care but I was having dessert, not bread. I had the halibut special. It was phenomenal. One of the guys from the kitchen dropped it off and asked if I needed anything'- I replied salt. I find that I need salt often at restaurants. They brought the salt out real fast! I had a bite and determined it didn't need any more salt- it was perfectly salted! Woohoo! Fantastic. I ate my whole dish and then I savored my cocktail. The bartender wasn't much for conversation , as she was very busy, alone, covering the entire bar and drinks for the whole restaurant. She did invite me to try dessert, and mentioned a coconut cream cake that was not on the menu. I agreed to it and it was heavenly. Seemed like cheesecake icing with fluffy layers of cake and subtle coconut flakes throughout. The chocolate ice cream was weird at first but then I realized it's like almond joy/ mounds - coconut and chocolate are often paired. The espresso crumble gave it a nice crunch and there was caramel all over the plate. Wow! I took the majority of the cake home. It was a large portion and indulgent. I paid my tab and finished my drink. I was not rushed. I would go back again. It's a bit pricey. The fish special was $58. The cocktail was $17 and the dessert was $16. So one person, who did not add on the bread service, was $91. It's expensive. I would emphasize you can probably get a seat at the bar if you can't get a reservation. Also- the entrance is hard to find. It's in the parking lot and not facing the main road. I got a little lost walking there. The signage is poor. I can't imagine going there the first time in the dark. So give yourself a couple extra minutes if it's your first time going there.

Starting off with the ambience, the place is SUPER cute, decorated with a color theme I call "sherbet whimsy" with a smattering of smiling emojis. Our party of 6 was warmly greeted at the counter and immediately seated together. We started off with their delicious coffee, some hot & some cold...all excellent! The menu is fairly extensive for a breakfast joint, so the server gave us some good recommendations & said everything here is house made. Wow! OK... so we all got different menu items, and despite being warned about the HUGE portions...we could not have fathomed how large they are, but the prices do reflect how much food you're going to get! The breakfast burrito could easily feed four people. Our lone young male in the group - who might have a tapeworm based upon his ability to devour gigantic amounts of food - did his best, but could only consume about 2/3 of it. He said it was amazing, especially when paired with their delicious house made hot sauce. Two of us got two different bennie breakfasts, and raved about the hollandaise, the stretched "biscuits" & the fried chicken. Despite being smallish young ladies, they put a good dent in their meals. One of us got the outstanding corned beef hash, and thankfully generously shared with yours truly!! She could not eat even half of her meal, so I was glad to help out! :) The corned beef hash is not your standard ground-up version from a can. It is house made, with larger bits of potato, corned beef, onions & peppers. They get a perfect scald on it & serve it up with eggs & thick sliced perfectly toasted/buttered toast. My picky husband got the chorizo scramble with a side of fruit & really enjoyed it. I got the fantastic avocado toast with a side of potatoes. Everything was perfect... the thick slices of toasted wheat bread adorned with melted cheese then topped with very fresh & perfectly ripe avocado slices. I didn't prefer their scrambled eggs & should have gotten them fried instead, but it was still perfectly good, especially when dipped in their hot sauce. Thankfully my husband shared some of his fresh fruit, which was ripe & good. I dipped the pineapple into that hot sauce, which was delicious together. The place is very clean, including the bathrooms. The clientele were a menagerie from various demographics...retirees, blue collar workers, bikers, vacationers; everyone was pleasant & seemed to be enjoying their meals. This was one of the better meals we had during our trip, and definitely the best breakfast by far. It's so close to the airport, too. I'm so glad we got up early enough to be able to fit in a stop here before catching our flight home.
