To my surprise, it was much harder than I expected to tell the cannoli, tiramisu, Nutella, amaretto, and loganberry cheesecakes apart. They all had a rich, creamy texture and a strong vanilla flavor that tied them together, which isn't a bad thing at all. My daughter declared the loganberry her favorite, while my one son couldn't get enough of the coconut slice (really it's amaretto). As for me, I think I'll just have to keep eating more cheesecake before I can confidently pick a favorite!

I did try to ask a few questions about wedding tastings while I was there, but the worker helping me didn't seem very enthusiastic or willing to offer much guidance. Since this is such an important part of planning my wedding, that part of the experience felt a bit disappointing. Overall, while I was really rooting for this to be "the place" especially since it's a big and popular bakery I don't feel confident moving forward with them for my wedding desserts. I had read about legendary cinnamon scones and have been a huge scone kick (especially cinnamon!), so I had to try them. Not only do they make cinnamon though, they take a unique approach to their fruit scones by filling them with fruit jelly, so of course I tried a lemon blueberry filled scone too. The filled ones are better in theory than practice. The lemon flavor of the dough was almost nonexistent and the blueberry jam didn't spread well enough to help out the other lacking flavors. The cinnamon scone absolutely could have potential, but unfortunately mine was overly hard and crumbly - I wish I had asked for a specific, newer and lesser-baked one, but such is life :)

The croissants are exceptional. Golden and flaky. And the fillings are where things get really special. We tried two but bought a variety, and each one has its own personality. We paired our croissants with a London Fog and a mocha, both solid. They also have fresh juices and water available, which is a nice touch. The cafe itself is clean, bright, and inviting. Parking had ample spots available. The staff were warm, friendly, and clearly take pride in what they serve and how they treat customers. It looks like they make custom cakes too. The hand-drawn logo alone tells you the level of artistry and care this place operates with. Highly recommend. Don't sleep on this place.

The cakes were so balanced between a light and airy cake and wonderfully flavored, not too sweet, fillings and icings. I have sensitive teeth so the fact I ate 4 slices without any problem really was great for me. Just the right amount of sugar to let the flavors pop. We ended up ordering a 2 tier cake and 2 1/2 sheets of cake for $400. What I believed to be a steal for that much wedding cake. Excellent experience. Both times we taste tested and came back to place the deposit, I ordered a croissant, 1 biscoff and 1 tiramisu custard. The croissants are the best I've had. I asked when she was opening the store that I have been eyeing for ages. Well over once a week, as I pass by there many times a week. She said they are open. And have been for a while. I picked up some popcorn, which was very good and I'd happily eat it again. I sampled some of her cookies and other things she had on the table. They all tasted great. I can't wait to try more, but I'll have to stop by Thur-Sun after 12 noon. But they are open into the evenings many days, great for the Allentown restaurant and bar crowd. Pick up a frozen treat this summer or a cookie instead of a grilled cheese from just down the road. Nice to have choices like that on Allen. If you have a specific thing you want to pick up I'd call in advance to make sure she has it that day or can make it for you. But if you are like me and are content to browse and see what strikes your fancy from the case, you can pop in anytime she's open. Street parking.
