When we came in we were treated by the security guard who also gave us a shopping cart. Walking around people asked if I needed help finding anything, which was nice to hear because you hear it less and less. I found decor for my playroom and for a great clearance price too it's worth looking in the back. Something I didn't care for was that two or three cashiers at the front were having their own loud conversation that wasn't very appropriate and they did not have the professionalism to cut the convo short for a minute and just resume after we checked out. The young man we had as our cashier though was incredibly professional and ultra polite. I don't go to kohls often but when I do it's typically to buy Nike or Adidas because I know they have it there.

On the way out I grabbed a Fenty Gloss instead for my sister. Here's where the issue came in. I put my card in, put in my pin and it said take your card out. She then says oh it didn't go through. So I repeated the process and this time she said I have to call Corporate. It came up as a duplicate purchase. The manager comes over and he's TRYING to explain to me that it didn't go through. Until I pulled up my bank account and the debt is already out of my account. I showed him my account 3 times and he kept saying it will drop off. No it won't it already came out of my account that's why it's saying duplicate. After he comes back he brings a receipt that's 5 minutes after the first receipt that says voided in store. It wasn't a void. My daughter was being really polite but he came off as rude, very rude. He wasn't listening to what we were saying. His facial expression showed he didn't care it was his way or no way. He then said she has to pay for it ...again. I said no I don't want it. The two people working were amazing. They saw I was handicapped and needed just a little more help. They smiled and talked to me with respect just as I was doing with them. Bryce the manager was very rude and didn't care that it came out of My account all he wanted to do was mansplane to us. When my daughter asked his name he said it with an attitude. For no reason. There was neat stock of new springs and summer arrivals and dollar things to peruse. They had a super selection of all things leftover packing, food storage, and home packed lunch. Fred Meyer's employees put themselves at risk of infection every day. They are overworked and understaffed and underpaid. They, along with medical professionals and first responders, are keeping us alive right now. The only difference is that they are paid and respected much less by our society. To clear a few things up: Instacart: is not owned by Fred Meyer. If you have a problem with them, you shouldn't put that on Fred Meyer. Also: Instacart workers are also on the front lines, and need your compassion. It's a GOOD THING: that grocery stores are being strict about returns. THIS DISCOURAGES HOARDING, in addition to being SAFE. In times like this, we should only buy what we NEED. OK, so with that soapbox out of the way: Freddies is doing a great job, all things considered. Social distancing markers are in place on the floors. Employees are constantly sanitizing and/or changing out gloves. Food is getting re-stocked only days after the hoarders take it all. Despite all the added strain, employees remain cheerful and eager to help. Oh, and they are keeping alcohol sales going...essential indeed. Let's be nice, and keep it classy, Anchorage. We'll get through this.

I shouldn't be able to hear a loud conversation of cashiers at the customer service desk talking about inappropriate topics with fowl language dropping many f-bombs in a short span. I looked over, made eye contact with these girls working and they continued on swearing. Mostly the store was clean as far as housewares go, I found my plates not otherwise listed in stock online. The experience was unsettling and while I like shopping at JCPenney every so often, customer service needs a bit more training on what's appropriate in the workplace.

They also have a very small selection compared to other Walmarts nearby. If you're looking for Alaska souvenirs this isn't the best Walmart to go to. They also have a huge amount of things behind glass that you need an attendant for. Every other aisle it feels like needs an attendant. What I do like is one: the people who work here are so friendly, work hard, keep the store clean and are eager to help (mostly) I also think that this location has a nice produce selection, and foods that cater to a different demographic of shoppers. They have a wide variety of things like home decor that I don't feel like all the other stores have. This one I see cuter home decor at and they have the little couch, and bed and dining table staged areas so you can conceptualize ideas for new products. I like the setups of the aisles, and it feels very modern with good selections of trendy clothes. So with this location there's good and bad. I come here only when it's convenient but it is still a nice Walmart inside.

Well today she was on base and the Exact LG OLED was $1,199! WHAT!?! At that price I jumped in the SUV and rolled out to meet her. They had 10 of them ... well now they have 8. Originally it was priced at $2,499 -- These prices remind me when flat screens came out. But the pixilation in the OLED is so ultra high end. The sales guy said they're too high end and we can't move them so the Base Exchange dropped the price by over half. I mean you can get a 55" for $299 -$350 but the OLED QLED AND P-LED are next generation and at that price we got it for our bedroom too! You can get great deals at the base if you look!
