I am a technical consultant who travels all over the United States more than 42 weeks a year…read more During the weekdays, I take Zumba classes wherever my work takes me; however, Dance 2-Gather in Aurora, Colorado is my home studio on the weekends. Each Zumba studio has unique instructors with specific teaching styles and some instructors have a "following" and some do not. In my experiences, I have seen the good, the bad, and the best. The Good: most instructors do a pretty good job of providing a fun class that delivers a good workout. The Bad: after taking some Zumba classes I felt like I was ready to earn some money at the local gentleman's club; and other times the instructor was more interested in watching herself/himself in the mirror than giving cues to the class and the class felt like utter chaos. The BEST: Dance 2-Gather! Tawnya and Erica are fabulous! They demonstrate each move clearly and with the utmost enthusiasm. After taking one of their classes, I always feel energized and exhausted at the same time. Often, when I'm on the road taking a Zumba class from another instructor, I miss their style of instruction so much. They truly are the best.

They have their own dedicated parking lot behind the building. The studio is squeaky clean and I like that they have cubbies in the barre room so you can keep an eye on your belongings while you work out. The employees at the front desk are always incredibly welcoming. I usually attend with one specific friend and on our second visit, the woman at the front desk remembered us both by name. Now that's impressive. I have high standards for customer service at fitness studios because I work at one myself, and Barre Forte exceeds them. The classes are fun, challenging, and effective. They have plenty of straightforward barre classes on the schedule, but my favorite BY FAR is Barrebound, which is a combination of bouncing (aka rebounding) on mini trampolines, with barre exercises in between. It's a great way to get your heart working and log lots of steps and cardio, with full-body strengthening as well. The hour absolutely flies by and I forget I'm even working out because I'm having so much fun. Definitely try this class if you're stuck in a workout rut or just want to feel like a kid again while doing something great for your body!

I have been to other places that force the kids to learn the techniques and have zero fun doing it. My daughter who was told she was not "disciplined" enough (at 2 btw) for ballet, is truly enjoying the experience of learning and during her most recent recital I was so happy she seemed to really enjoy herself and did so well! As a parent I enjoy the none judgemental, "we are all parents here trying to give happiness to our kids", vibes. I also appreciate I am not nickeled and dimed for every costume and extra nonsense that a lot of other studios offer. I have dropped the ball a few times and Jen is so on top of it for me and provides me with what I need to help my daughter continue to have fun. She communicates well and answers my emails instantly most of the time. Full disclosure, I am not a dance, make-up, and pretty dress kind of mom- I am generally a pretty awkward person because of it, and yet I am supported just the same. I enjoy having their support, and encouragement. I am happy my daughter enjoys her time there
