This is a wonderful dance studio to enroll at because of it's many amazing qualities. Everyone there has a really strong, family-like bond that really makes you feel like you fit in and belong. Everyone there is very nice and usually try to make you feel as comfortable as you can. It's also a very nice place that offers many different genres and levels to choose from. There are three dance rooms, a lobby, two bathrooms, and an eating area that the students usually spend most of their time in if they have breaks between classes. The biggest room is mainly used for bigger classes or older students. The two smaller ones are mainly used for smaller or younger classes. One of the smaller rooms has a special floor that is used for tap and makes it not as slippery. All of the classrooms are very beautiful and clean with their own speaker systems for music. In the eating area, there is also a kitchen complete with a stove, microwave, sink, dishwasher, refrigerator, and freezer, with a long counter that students use for eat or doing homework in between classes or during breaks. There are also many nice teachers that will be happy to instruct your children. The teachers for mainly older students consist of Mistell Jimenez, Jessica Bear, and Victoria Spangler. Mistell teaches poms, modern, and contemporary with fast, upbeat choreography. Jessica teaches the same as Mistell, but with slower and unique dances that have a genre or their own. Victoria teaches older and younger students mainly ballet, contemporary, and acro with dance that mainly pair off into small groups with mini solos. The teachers for younger students are Shila Wilson, Sienna Chavez, Athena Sorrel, Jennifer Emken and Brooke Emken. Shila teaches mainly ballet to the youngest students. Sienna teaches modern and contemporary student generally ranging from about 6-12 years old and makes beautiful, flowing dances. Jen teaches mostly ballet to the youngest and really helps them learn the bare basics of dance. (She also teaches acrobats well to a wide variety of ages.) Athena teaches ballet to about the same age and really helps develop the early skills Jen and Shila began with. Brooke, the youngest teacher and daughter to Jen, teaches poms and jazz from ages about 6-10. She is a really lovely young women who is an amazing teacher who has a special connection with her students because she is closer to their age (while still being old enough to teach). They also have two teachers in training: Toni Roush and Erin Vestecka. Toni is in training to be teaching ballet while Erin is in training to be teaching acro and ballet. Overall, this studio is a really unique place to go to and has an excellent program your daughter or son will certainly enjoy! read more
