My…read morehusband and I started our adventure with TGDanzport back in March of 2017, the Groupon deal got us in (Three 1/2 hour private lessons, one group lesson, one party for 2) and we found a new hobby we could do together as a couple. Their location is very convenient. While we live less than 2 miles away, for those who are farther out,they are literally very close to I-25/Belleview exit.. with lots of great restaurants to go to within walking distance after your group or private lesson! Since our initial introductory set of classes, we decided to push forward with the Social Basic program, and now we are in their Bronze program. We are doing their Disney Showcase (less than 2 weeks away now - eek!) and after the showcase, we are actually interested in checking out some competitions in 2018. They have monthly dance parties where you can practice what you learn, and they do performances throughout the year (they did a performance at a Denver Nuggets game earlier this year!) When we take our lesson, there are quite a few folks that come in for their wedding dance and all the couples that we see just have a blast. Their choreography is top notch, and they really care that you are doing the dance correctly, with the right form and rythm. It isn't just for couples too, single women and men come and take private lessons or go to the group lessons. Group classes intimate and you get lots of attention from the instructor, and majority of their classes are for all levels. They have four instructors, and everyone is so nice and so knowledgeable and super talented! And they offer classes on a wide array of different dances (Salsa, Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Swing (all variations of), Rumba.. you name it, they know it and can teach it). They aren't cheap, but you get what you pay for. My husband and I have done some other classes around town, and the attention to detail that this place gives you comes second to none. If you have a passion for dance or want to learn something new and fun and applicable to real life (it's given my husband so much confidence on the dance floor and i don't have to drag him anymore!), or if you are looking for a choreographed piece for your special day - give these guys a try - you won't regret it.

There were some dances which only some instructors taught, so that was a little frustrating from a continuity standpoint. We only had a few hiccups with payments and the book keeping for them; scheduled lessons sometimes got mixed up but for the length of time we were doing lessons here it wasn't too bad. I would recommend this studio to someone looking to do a couple of lessons, with the understanding that private lessons can get to be kind of pricey. Group lessons are fairly affordable, and the studio organizes events pretty regularly for their patrons to come and practice their dance skills.

She's always been a bit shy and used to hide in the back, hesitant to try new things because of her fear of failure. But thankfully, the teachers at Mercury have been incredibly kind and supportive. They've taken the time to really understand her personality--encouraging her strengths and gently helping her work through her challenges. As parents, we all know that progress comes down to how much effort a child puts in.
