Its one of the few theaters that I will dress up for and has an open lobby area with a cash bar that is a fun and somewhat upscale space for conversation before the show which works nicely for your group to gather, converse, and socialize before the show. Addison restaurants are nearby but busy on weekends so do plan an early dinner between 5 and 6 as those restaurants are typically very busy on weekends. A plus is the "Stone Cottage" theatre in the rear which hosts a different theatre company and is which is rustic with often ribald works. There is also a large snd configurable separate meeting space which can be had for special functions or seminars. If you are into Architecture and you ever get the chance for a complete tour of the Water Tower theatre seize the opportunity because it is a very cool building with 2 levels below grade for costume and storage with three above that are absolutely amazing in how they are completely flexible for multi tier stage configurations and configurable seating tiers from several directions.

I absolutely do of course but the staff is so nice - i would feel like tipping even if I was being charged I love the quaintness of the place too. The performance by the cast is worthy of a Tony award! This review is more about the Stone Cottage Theater which is part of the Addison Conference and Theater Center. It is a small building that is one of Addison's historic structures that has been renovated and I believe can hold up-to 55 people. The check-in lady was really friendly and offered us free chocolate and roses for valentines. You can also buy snacks and drinks at the check-in desk before the show or during intermission. The Good: ------------- Very intimate setting, small crowd, lighting effects are great for a small theater production. There is a parking lot close by if you get early. You can also park by the street nearby if the main parking lot is full. Can do Better: ------------------- The plastic cushion-less seats are a back breaker for those long theatrical performances. My butt and back were hurting after being seated for almost 2 hours watching the above reference play. They may need to get cushioned seats! Also, the signage pointing to this small cottage may need to be a little bigger. Wife and I were not sure where the Stone Cottage building was since there are two theaters in the same location. There is small sign by a rock, but this can be overlooked.

No need to spend lots of money and time to travel to NYC or even Ft Worth or Dallas to see local talent doing a very good job. I was entertained. The production values are great; lighting makeup and especially costumes. With a minimum of props furniture you easily imagine self and characters in the scene be it Max's apartment or jail cell. And don't forget the script writers pigeon loft. All done again on the Courtyard Theatre stage in Plano. See photo of 2026-2027 productions planned. Brief encounter with director who said they didn't have enough time but got the rehearsals done just 5 weeks before first show. Feb 2026: 320+ people had the right idea to save money and see a Broadway worthy production of Hunchback of Notre Dame at Courtyard Theatre Plano TX. I counted 30 on stage and am sure many behind scenes and choir up in balcony helped as well. Great production with minimum props and set. Do it all with costumes, great vocals and your imagination. Time and money well spent to watch local thespian display their talent.

My husband and I love and often quote the cult classic film, so I optimistically bought tickets through RCT website for the last weekend the stage production was playing. The theater is tucked into a rarely visited strip mall. There was lots of parking. The entrance lobby was quite plain, but spacious. At the end of the hall, we picked up our tickets at will call. Around the corner was a small concession stand selling cute, small buckets of old, stale popcorn, cookies, soda as well as beer and wine. The theater area has old cinema seats on a raked platform. You could clearly see the stage since the seats were well staggered so you weren't looking at the back of someone's head. Unfortunately , the seats never seem wide enough, and you always find yourself fighting for the shared armrest. At least the bottom cushion was supportive and comfortable. I could have easily sat there through both acts and the intermission. The cast was phenomenal! They sang beautifully, danced with decent precision, strutted around in some amazing costumes while taking us on a near perfect rendition of the actual movie. Lighting and background sets were somewhat limited, but what they had worked great and didn't detract from the show. The comedy was there and they even threw in a few extra jabs at local politicians to the delight of the audience. It appears they focus on some classic theater productions throughout the year. Shows that are known and loved by everyone (White Christmas, Annie, Mamma Mia, etc.). It seems like a winning formula that is working for them. I wouldn't hesitate to come back for another date night.

It seats approximately 350 people, but it feels tight when even close to capacity because what is not updated/modernized are the chairs. Overall it is a decent venue and has good acoustics etc. what I was really disappointed in on my recent visit was that they added seats that sit up higher than the others on the first row, that obstructed the views of those of us on the second row. Also, there is not a traditional concession stand, as that part apparently was done away with in the remodel.

This even was a case from California about an autonomous vehicle killing a cyclist. They put the CEO on trial for engineering the software for the vehicle and taking short cuts. This was a very fun date night and something different. We met some cool couples along the night and of course my partner bonded over parts of the case with them. This place is very clean and the bathrooms are nice and clean. There is a lot of parking throughout the little city of Garland. We did end the night across at a local watering hole and close it down with some good folks. If on Fever and see this as an option go ahead and choose it because it was a blast!

I definitely recommend this for a different evening out on a date or with friends, especially if you are a fan of film noir.
