The entire team -- Dr. Gaertner, Dr. Ilon, and the staff -- are consistently professional, warm, and absolutely meticulous in their care. The office is immaculately clean, always spotless and organized, which makes every visit comfortable and reassuring. The service here is truly world-class -- friendly, patient, and personal every single time. Today, though, Dr. Gaertner went above and beyond. I came in frustrated, looking for a solution in my care, and he took the time to really listen, reassure me, and thoughtfully address my concerns. His patience, kindness, and attention to detail completely exceeded my expectations. From quality to efficiency, everything about this office runs seamlessly. I'm always seen promptly, treated with genuine care, and leave feeling confident about my dental health. The value speaks for itself -- years of consistent, exceptional service. If I could give this place six stars for service, I absolutely would. Simply excellent. Thank you, Dr. Gaertner and team!

However, I must say that it was such a positive experience that when I left, I said that I was excited to come back for my follow up apt! Dr. Oppenheimer was convenient with his appointments and I really appreciated that flexibility. He was SOOO knowledgable and informed about the issues that I was having; I trusted him completely. He really made sure that I was comfortable during the appointment and with his post care instructions. The procedure was fast and I did not hear or feel a thing! During the procedure, he gives you 3D glasses to wear and I was at the Beyonce concert, it was awesome! Honestly, I don't think he could have done anything that would have allowed me to have a better experience. His whole staff was amazing and I have zero clue what the prior reviews are referring to. If you are in need of a smart, honest, and AMAZING specialist for a root canal I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Oppenheimer. (I JUST got back from my root canal...no pain).

His staff is very friendly, efficient and professional, and Dr. Oppenheimer is extremely thorough and professional. He gave me a high-level of confidence and comfort, explaining my case in detail while showing me my x-ray. He described, and I could clearly see, the important need for an immediate root canal. He described the next steps and what I could expect, leaving me to say, "how soon can we begin?" After being offered a variety of movie titles, comedy shows and concert performances to select from, I was provided a pair of VR-type glasses with earbuds and encouraged to sit back and relax while the root-canal was being performed. I was so relaxed, and enjoying watching Seinfeld, that at times I forgot where I was. After almost an hour, the entire root-canal was done. Dr. Oppenheimer had already sent notes to my primary dentist and I was on my way. I also was very happy when I walked out, not experiencing any pain and knowing that the three anesthetics administered had almost completely worn off (and after about 45-minutes of leaving the office, I had all sensation back). I was referred to Dr. Oppenheimer by my primary dentist, Dr. Esther Lewkowicz, and assured I'd have a good experience. Dr. Oppenheimer's office environment is very friendly, comfortable and relaxing. Even though I was not his patient and he had a busy schedule, he offered to see me first thing the next morning. The first thing that impressed me was the office itself. It looked so bright, modern, and spotless that I assumed it had just been built. I later learned it was renovated before COVID, but they have clearly maintained it exceptionally well. Dr. Herrera demonstrated a level of professionalism and attention to detail that is hard to find. He took the time to clearly explain the procedure, the risks, and the expected outcome. His team immediately contacted my insurance company and provided a clear explanation of all costs before treatment. I honestly cannot remember experiencing this level of communication and transparency in any medical office in Miami. The procedure itself went smoothly, and I did not feel any pain or discomfort during the root canal. What impressed me even more was the follow-up. After the procedure, the office contacted my dentist directly, sent them the treatment details, and also provided me with a copy of the report and images for my records. On top of that, the office called me multiple times after the procedure to check on my recovery and make sure I was doing well. That level of care is rare and made me feel like a person rather than just another patient on the schedule. I am beyond impressed with Dr. Herrera and his team. If he were a general dentist, I would gladly become a regular patient. I hope I won't need another root canal anytime soon - but if I do, I know exactly where I'll be going.

After…read morenot seeing a dentist in many years, last year, I was fortunate to have found South Beach Dentistry while in pain and unable to eat. The team at South Beach Dentistry took the time to answer my questions over the telephone and could see me the next day when they had a cancellation and an appointment that opened up. Dr. Valls has a wonderful 'bedside manner', listens to your questions and concerns, and presents all available options along with the pros and cons of each. He is a very knowledgeable dentist; as the owner of his practice, he is also an honest businessman. Top-notch dental care can be expensive, especially when you do not have insurance. Dr. Valls is not a 'slick' salesman; he works within your means to ensure that you receive appropriate care within your financial constraints. I also like that he mentors visiting dentists who work beside him to learn before returning to their home countries to practice dentistry. It says much about an individual's character when they 'pay it forward' as Dr. Valls does. Any review of South Beach Dentistry would only be complete with mentioning Alejandre, the 5-star Dental Hygienist. I have learned so much about proper dental care from Alejandre. I would have thought that I knew how to brush and floss at my age. Obviously, I did not. Alejandre was instrumental in helping me improve my dental health. She does a fabulous job, also has a beautiful 'bedside manner', and is a caring and compassionate individual. I feel at ease and 'safe' when she is doing her job. Lastly, the entire team at South Beach Dentistry should be commended for their outstanding customer service. The front desk staff and office managers are wonderful. As soon as you enter, everyone--I mean everyone--stops what they are doing, looks you in the eye and greets you. The team at South Beach Dentistry excels at customer service--and it is not the typical 'fake corporate' type, but they genuinely care and are there to make your visit pleasurable. Who would have thought checking out and paying your bill could be fun? It is when you are surrounded by the team at South Beach Dentistry. As a patient for the past year, I recommend the South Beach Dentistry team without hesitation. They remind me of the 'small town family dental practice' I was familiar with growing up--just with the next generation of medical providers and business staff. All around, a 5-star experience and team.

The constantly changing explanations made the situation feel dishonest and poorly managed.
