From the moment we walked in, the staff was so welcoming, sweet, and comforting. They made us feel like family. Dr. Kopf was truly exceptional. He immediately knew how to talk to my mom, calm her fears, and make her feel safe. He was incredibly patient and gentle, even helping her into the dental chair, which is no easy task given her mobility issues. He took his time and made sure she was comfortable every step of the way. I stepped out during the procedure, so I don't know exactly what he did, but my mom swears she felt absolutely NO PAIN! She hasn't stopped talking about how kind and gentle he was. And believe me, I love my mom dearly, but she is NOT the easiest patient, so this is really saying something! Her tooth had been aching before the procedure, and I fully expected her to have some pain afterward. But NOTHING! No pain during the procedure, no pain afterward, and no pain the next day. She keeps telling me she doesn't even believe she had a root canal because nothing hurts! Her original toothache is completely gone, and her regular dentist confirmed the following week that everything looked perfect. As a daughter, watching someone treat my mom with such kindness, patience, and compassion meant the world to me. Dr. Kopf didn't just fix her tooth; he took away her fear of the entire experience. He described the next steps and what I could expect, leaving me to say, "how soon can we begin?" After being offered a variety of movie titles, comedy shows and concert performances to select from, I was provided a pair of VR-type glasses with earbuds and encouraged to sit back and relax while the root-canal was being performed. I was so relaxed, and enjoying watching Seinfeld, that at times I forgot where I was. After almost an hour, the entire root-canal was done. Dr. Oppenheimer had already sent notes to my primary dentist and I was on my way. I also was very happy when I walked out, not experiencing any pain and knowing that the three anesthetics administered had almost completely worn off (and after about 45-minutes of leaving the office, I had all sensation back). It looked so bright, modern, and spotless that I assumed it had just been built. I later learned it was renovated before COVID, but they have clearly maintained it exceptionally well. Dr. Herrera demonstrated a level of professionalism and attention to detail that is hard to find. He took the time to clearly explain the procedure, the risks, and the expected outcome. His team immediately contacted my insurance company and provided a clear explanation of all costs before treatment. I honestly cannot remember experiencing this level of communication and transparency in any medical office in Miami. The procedure itself went smoothly, and I did not feel any pain or discomfort during the root canal. What impressed me even more was the follow-up. After the procedure, the office contacted my dentist directly, sent them the treatment details, and also provided me with a copy of the report and images for my records.
