I have been sitting in line over 10 minutes now and am going to have to leave without drink in order to get to work on time. Ordered through the website which takes you to door dash for breakfast sandwiches, so it would be quicker since going through the drive thru takes forever. They messed up my sandwich and i drove all the way back for them to tell me they can't fix it or refund me. The staff is not helpful at all and doesn't know how to make the customer happy. The bagels seem to be undercooked and overly soft. I got the breakfast blt on a marinara bagel and it was just ok. It did not come with cream cheese even though you would expect it considering a regular blt comes with dressings. (maybe my own fault). Every bite is just a soft mush.. I cannot taste the marinara by any means.. there is no flavor to it but the avocado is good at least and not old or brown! my husband got the Ham breakfast sandwich on a NY everything. the bagel was extremely flavorful at least for this one but the overall sandwich he gave a 3/5. now for the coffee - I got a latte with oatmilk and no added flavor .. now don't get me wrong. I don't want to just feel like i'm drinking oatmilk like I do at dutch bros and have no coffee flavor but the drink smacked my mouth with espresso so hard I had to add my own oatmilk at home. This past visit to Java stop I ordered 2 plain bagels with cream cheese on the side and a medium drink.. what I got was 2 bagels with cream cheese and 2 sides of cream cheese and my drink.. so they charged me extra for the sides and the cream cheese on my bagels... I could've just ordered a 3rd bagel with the amount they charged me.. *the pace could be a little bit FASTER and the the employees could be more joyful.. read more

I just had another amazing bagel sandwich made for me at Java Stop! I've had a few different ones, but I think my favorite is the Club. That's what I had today and I've had it a couple times before. Each time it was really good. I've also had the tuna salad one, and that was really good as well. What's great is not only can you change up your sandwich by the different flavors and toppings, but with so many different flavors of bagels, your choices are almost endless! I come here for the bagels. Specifically the pesto bagel because the cheese is so crispy on the outside once it's toasted. It's a satisfying crunchy and soft chewy combo. Storebought just isn't doing it for me anymore--the packaged ones are too dense and dry. As for the price point, I'm willing to pay $.50-$1 more for homemade bagels and support a local business while I'm at it. The gals in the shop are welcoming and accommodating, so I tip them accordingly (they deserve more than just your pocket change). I'm a repeat customer and I plan on keeping it that way! read more

It's hard to continue to support small businesses around town when it takes almost 30 minutes to get one bagel and coffee. The girls working always act like you are an inconvenience to their day. I used to love coming here but it is ridiculous how slow these employees work. Came at 10:00 and they were out of pretty much all bagels. Such bad service. Ordered a fairly large order so waiting wasn't a surprise. 20ish minutes later they brought my order out. I drove home and it was wrong. When I went in for the item she said, "I knew I forgot it but you just pulled away to fast. If you wouldn't have left quickly you would have it". Rough quote but pretty close. So I asked for a refund and she simply stated again that I should t have left quickly after they gave me my order. I get mistakes happen. I understand things get missed. I've worked fast food. Don't try to make it my fault that you had my order wrong. I will say that through the entire thing they were very polite in speech and friendly in tone. It's simply not my fault they got my order wrong. Also having worked fast food years ago I always ask if it's the complete order. Blah just stick with Noah's in Lincoln Center. I'm usually not one to give bad reviews but here we are... This morning, I thought I'd give Java a try I've read reviews where people have mentioned that it's a long wait in the morning, but I figured since I'm early enough before work I would give it a go. I arrived at 8:15am and pulled out of the drive-thru at 8:40 am there was only 2 cars ahead of me. I would have drove away but was blocked by other vehicles if you been there, you understand the drive-thru situation is not the best. If waiting, there for so long wasn't bad enough it got even worse. The barista came out of the shop to take the order of the car in front of mine which had 2 large dogs and she started petting them and allowing the dogs to lick her hands with slobber dripping from the dogs mouth. I wouldn't mind so much that she was giving affection to the dogs because I myself love animals but what happen next is what had me write this review, the barista walked back in to the shop rub her hand on her pants because it had slobber and started making coffee right after not once did she even considered washing her hands. when you are dealing with food you should have better hygiene methods as basic as hand washing. Working in the healthcare field we are so diligent about hygiene because we understand cross contamination especially when you are touching every handle of the coffee machine and other baristas are using the same ones and making bagels and breakfast sandwiches. I wish I knew the baristas name so I could speak to her manager. I wonder if her "sweet" tattoo on the back of her arm would help me identify who she is. I hope whoever is ruining this business sees this and teaches the baristas better hygiene methods. read more

My absolute favorite coffee place for a quick pick me up whenever I visit my parents! I always get the iced white mocha latte with oat milk, but one day one of the kind lady that rung me up suggested to add lavender in it! Have never not ordered it that way since! It's definitely more on the sweet side, but that's just the way I like it! They are always busy but are usually apologetic for the wait. The last time I was here, I went with my friend to get some coffee and a bagel (the jalapeño bagel is superior in my opinion if you care) and there was such a long line in the drive thru that we just walked inside to see only two gals working both the drive thru and inside! After 10 years of Supporting Java Stop and going everyday sometimes twice a day we will no longer be supporting this local business and no longer recommending them. For the last two years we have tolerated our drinks being inconsistent due to the nice employees, loyalty, and convenience. We experienced a demeaning and humiliating encounter with the owner. After having to ask the barista (who even admitted the first drink did not look right) to remake our drink, for the second time it still tasted off and not wanting to put the employee in a awkward position to remake the drink a third time my mother decided to ask for some extra powder as there was not the right amount. The owner who had just walked in, jumped in to the situation, rudely grabbed the drink and in a snarky remark told my mother to move forward, "we're not doing extra powder, I'm gonna remake your drink" after my mother tipped the barista as she does everyday. We are very upset and sadden by this experience and will be supporting other coffee businesses in Lodi. read more

When you spend roughly $33 for two coffees and three beagles, you would expect them to be correctly made, not a mess, and to taste at minimum pretty decent not mediocre. Employees seem nice and polite but service time is extremely slow. This place is relatively close to my home, I've enjoyed going here every weekend for serval months and have dealt with the long wait time, but today is the last day I will be going. Coffees ordered tasted horrible. Definitely not even close to the way they've been made in the previous weeks. Breakfast sandwich beagle was missing half the ingredients. Let me start by saying that they have amazing blended drinks. Unfortunately, hot and iced drinks aren't as great. My first complaint is I pay a different price every single time I go, even when ordering the same exact drink. When they first released their fall drinks this year, I got a pumpkin cold brew. The coffee was so watered down and there was orange looking syrup about an inch deep at the bottom. It was bad, I didn't even drink it it. Today, I got a small s'mores mocha with oat milk. It was $6.25 and it tastes so bad. It is overly sweet and so gritty. I feel like I'm drinking sand. This is going straight in the trash once I finish writing this. I got an iced oat milk vanilla latte and uhh, not only does it look nothing like your typical latte, the taste was almost sour like the milk had gone bad or something? I understand it happens but uhh, in the picture you can see the water looks a tiny bit chunky like murky. You can see it's not smooth at all.
