    Breakfast Burrito

Awesome spot! We stopped by for coffee and breakfast and it was great! We wanted to find a place with outdoor seating to accommodate our dog, and they have great outdoor seating some tables in the shade and some in the sun. Breakfast prices were reasonable and the food was good. Quick service too.

    Cool, eclectic eatery.

Stopped in for a quick breakfast and was glad we did. Friendly staff and fresh food. The place was rocking and the staff never wavered. Enjoyed the breakfast burritos and coffee. Cool and fun menu. A must try.

Incredibly yummy breakfast burritos that are hot, melty, and made to order. Good service. Slow wifi. Ambiance is so-so.

Best place to eat in Umatilla, by far. Great coffee too. I give out their gift cards for Christmas gifts.

If you're considering eating at this restaurant READ THIS!!!…read more If you follow me, you know I am a big time foodie. I do reviews often of places I try on my travels as a professional horse hauler. I LOVE FOOD. We stopped at the nearby fuel station and they had zero decent options so we decided to try this stop. I ventured around to the restaurant and that's where this story begins. Walking in you feel the history of the building. It's not new, it's not nice, but it's not dangerous or gross. It just feels old... if those walls could talk type. The diner has an old school feel to it and the menu had several items on it that intrigued me. Since we are always needing to move efficiently, I picked two of the sandwiches the prime rib dip and the Rueben. We didn't have to wait long, but by the time the food arrived we decided to eat while the food was hot. Let me just say... WHOA!!!! One bite of the Reuben and I feel overwhelmed by the flavors. The rye bread was just perfect, thin but the flavor was perfect, warm and a nice toast on it, the sauerkraut was beautifully pungent and the corned beef was perfect. This wasn't a massively meaty sandwich and for those with larger appetites, you might need two, but the flavor is INCREDIBLE!!! I am PICKY and brutally honest with food... THIS IS WORTH THE STOP! I paired our Reuben with the onion rings which were BANGIN! Onto the delicious but not quite as spectacular prime rib dip. It was a twist on a French dip. All meat and bread no cheese. It was great flavor and the au juice was full of flavor. While the portions weren't PACKED, the foods flavor was so noteworthy we will def stop again! Loved this find!

I have lived in Las Vegas for 11 years and so coming home is a reality check and a stark contrast to my life there - especially when it comes to Shopping and food options (I will forever be a small-town Umatilla girl at heart) My experience at The Bridge tonight was a WOW!!! surprise. I ordered the vegetarian pizza on cauliflower crust, a huckleberry wheat beer and a blackberry lemonade margarita - THIS PLACE IS LEGIT! I loved the decor and ambiance. My server Kim was AMAZING. This will be my go to place on future visits home. Excited to be here for live music.

The waitress brought me a cold tap beer immediately and recommended the Beggin' for Bacon burger with truffle oil fries. I went with her recommendation, and she did not steer me wrong. This bad boy (see photo) was a 1/2 lb of beef with bacon mixed in to the patty plus a couple of slices on top. I was in heaven. Their fries are really wonderful, I ate far too many but with a cold beer what can you do? The wait staff was super friendly. She struck up a conversation about the national park on my T-shirt and chatted for a while. Nice. Umatilla is a pretty sad looking town, they are luck to have such a great establishment there.

The bar is long, with pictures of all the Pendleton Round-Up lining one wall. The place is a fascinating time capsule. Way in the back, beyond the bar and the pool table, a very small dining room with counter service and several humble booths are tucked away next to the kitchen. It's old, and proud of it. I've only eaten there twice; I once had a great breakfast there many years ago with my son. The portions were generous, the service was excellent, and as American style breakfasts go, it was about as good as they get. It's not "inspired food." It's the standard stuff, and there's something comforting about that. It's Americana at it's best. The second time was my birthday, and again, I was there with my son. It was evening. When we got there, we were the only ones occupying the cafe. It looked exactly as it had 20-plus years ago. My son ordered a hamburger and fries. Again, no trendy toppings or fuss, just very fresh, very well prepared hearty fare...exactly what we were looking for. I had their "famous" fried chicken. it was without hesitation, some of the best I'd ever tasted. It came with jo-jos, a salad, and garlic bread. It was all excellent, and almost too much food. If you enjoy old school dining in a small town cafe, it's going to be hard to beat the Rainbow Cafe and Bar.

The whole place is well decorated, pretty cozy, and definitely got a vibe to it of a local place. Service: everyone was fine and friendly, we were friendly to them as we could tell on the Sunday night it was just the two folks and they were doing their best. Drinks and food: the drinks were strong but good, the food was excellent. We got the chicken and it's definitely enough to split with someone, and the French dip which my husband said was meh. The potato jojos were huge but tasty. Over all very well worth the visit! A nice historic place and experience.
