Awesome coffee right in the center of Umatilla! Yay! And good coffee too! They have a gazillion different flavours in their menu as well so you can get practically any type of latte you want (except maple...). It's a great place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee with a friend. They have a cozy corner with couches and a coffee table. And a few tables if you want to sit and eat or use their FREE WIFI!! Being a city girl, when I'm in town, I do miss my coffee and it's great I don't have to travel all the way to Hermiston to get my fix. They also deliver anywhere locally for free! read more

Java Junkies is one of the best places for sandwiches and coffee around! The girls there have come up with some awesome flavor combinations that put other coffee shops to shame. And their sandwiches -- yummy! My favorite might seem boring but the tuna is delicious! I try other sandwiches but always go back to the tuna. It's a really warming environment, when you come in everyone is really friendly and welcoming. the drinks are really good they aren't afraid to use the syrups, one of the best Carmel Mocchiato's I've ever had. Then you have the soups I had the cream of broccoli with cheese soup which was really good and hot which was amazing. Then there was the subs it's like a subway but not, to me it tasted a lot more fresh. Of you are coming through or heading to Portland or hear about this place and you are close I suggest stopping by it was really nice in here and I will come back next time I'm up here. read more

I'm giving Java Junkies 5 stars based on relative quality... based on that I'd probably give them more if I could. I'm a transplanted east coaster (going on 23 years) living in the Portland area and I can't for the life of me figure out why it's so hard to get a good sandwich in Oregon. There are spots, but so many holes. Java Junkies pays attention to tasty ingredients, good bread, good bread, good bread, should I say it again? So important to a good sub. It's not perfect, but I don't want perfect. I got a lightly toast white sub bun that was just enough to provide the chew to go with the club type sandwich I ordered. Ingredients? Quality and tasty. Good proportions. Sandwich shops elsewhere in Oregon, take a lesson. It's not that complicated. Note, I was overdue for lunch and starving but even the half I ate 2 hours later was great. read more

Cool atmosphere and the people are nice. The food was ok, nothing crazy. The sandwiches are proceed very competitively so I think the quality of the sandwich suffers. Didn't try any of the drinks but while we were here a lot of people came in and ordered drinks so they must be good. read more

I would give 0 starts if it was an option. I have been a customer for years ordering subs about once a week. They have messed up orders previously and when we call about it they say come back and they will fix it. We do not live in town and not wanting to bother with the drive again we just deal with it. To cut down on mistakes I have started writing the order down and taking it in to the restaurant. Tonight there was a mistake on one of the subs, we called and were told that we had asked for mayo, when we offered to bring in the list we were told that we had probably rewritten it. They did not even offer to make a new sub. Will not go back read more

Here I am, in the middle of nowhere for work. I'm a coffee-addict, Starbucks craze, and irritated. I could not find any Starbucks nearby until someone mentioned "Java Junkies" is just around the corner. This place is AWESOME! Felt like i just discovered kryptonite! Coffee and sandwiches are delicious. SERVICE Friendly staff members. They greet you as you enter and they are very quick with the order. I ordered an Iced Mocha, read one email, and they're done. The best part about Java Junkies is the delivery service. I called them and they delivered my coffee and pastries in less than 10 mins. QUALITY They make their subs as you order them. They're fresh and delicious. I would definitely come back for more. As for food, i've tried their banana nut muffin and salami sandwich the other day. Unlike most coffee shop (i'm not going to say any name), Java Junkies drinks are full of flavor and tasty. YUM! COST Cheap. Affordable. Those two words is all we need to know. Also, side note- everyday I come here, I realized they have pretty girls working here. Kudo to the hiring manager, this just convinced me to stop by everyday to say hi and order an iced mocha. This is a surprisingly decent coffee shop especially for Umatilla of all places. The wi-fi is free, the sandwiches and bagels are great and plenty of seating. Between the Dalles & Tri-Cities [or Pendleton & Tri-Cities] it's a nice place to stop off I-84 if you know it's there; a really short drive just off the freeway. Nice find. read more

As you know I don't drink coffee...BUT they have GREAT Sandwiches.. including breakfast ones.. and YUMMY Italian Sodas.. and here's a little SECRET... *giggles* I have them make me a Decaffeinated Frapachinno..called an Almond Joy..
