While I was in Colorado, I made it a point to come here. The whole staff was so friendly and the coffee, pastry and the sandwich I had were all excellent, very good quality, and great taste. I don't understand how people have rated this restaurant so low. It is very good with very reasonable prices. The Cracked Open Reuben sandwich is as good as you can get in New York. The basic burger (not pictured) was perfectly cooked and bigger than expected. The millennial melt was so good with Gouda and perfectly ripened smash avocado. The side of pasta salad that came with our sandwiches has a touch of dill and is some of the best pasta salad that I have ever had. read more

We ordered the chicken popper burrito, it was mostly filler and saw hardly any meat in it. Didn't enjoy this burrito or the California burrito. It had way too much sour cream and I didn't like the taste. Little to no meat. Would not order a burrito from this place. My brother had a burrito bowl and didn't like it either. Great spot right in central downtown Evergreen. More than just a coffee shop, Java Groove has a wide variety of options for everything from a light snack to a full meal. We stopped in after a nice walk around Evergreen lake for a hot chocolate, mocha, etc. There is plenty of seating, including a charming couch area around a fake fireplace. This place was okay....my mom and I stopped for a drink but there was a super long line and it wasn't moving much. We waited for 20 mins before deciding to leave...mind you it was Labor Day so maybe they were understaffed. Java Groove Cafe is an amazing small town cafe in Evergreen, Co. Their coffee and food are both amazing. You need to try the bacon chicken ranch sandwich, it was SO good. I have also had the chocolate croissant, which was amazing as well. The staff was super friendly, and the environment was so cozy and welcoming.I love that they have a children's area and games for families to bond over while there. I even spoke with the owner, Eric who was so friendly and humble. You can definitely tell he loves, and is proud of his business. They offer regular dairy milk, almond, and oat. 4 stars because my latte was good, just nothing out of the ordinary, and there was a $1 up-charge for plant milk which wasn't necessary. read more

I paid over $5 to go into Java Groove. I was meeting a friend there. I went to the counter where there were two women working. They continued to talk to each other while I waited. Finally, I said, "could either of you help me?" Alexis said, "just a minute, I have to do something."She then told me I was being very rude to her. I then said that she was being rude to me. Whatever happened to customer service? Then, to make matters worse, she would NOT give me the code to validate my parking, nor would she serve me. So she literally took $5 out of my pocket. My friend was parked in a handicapped spot and she wondered if she had to pay. I went up to the other person working to ask, and she was extremely curt, saying, "yes." Then she turned away. Of course I and my friend will never go back and we will tell everyone of the way I was treated. The owner's name is Eric, and I will find him. Java Groove is a cute mom and pop type Cafe. They have a good size menu of breakfast lunch and drinks. I personally like the Chicken bacon ranch sandwhich and my daughter really liked the Reuben. she said the sauce takes it up several notches. We both got the bacon ranch pasta as a side and it was so good! I got the Dark chocolate mint mocha and my daughter got the hot chocolate. Both were very good. Hubby and I shared a sausage breakfast burrito, egg sandwich on a croissant, and a slice of lemon cooler cake. The eggs in both the burrito and sandwich were fluffy and well seasoned. Th croissant was flaky and the burrito had great flavor. The salsa tasted like Pace Salsa, which I didn't mind because we eat that at home. The lemon cooler cake was good, it's nice that they warmed it up for us and added a bit of whipped cream, but I like a little more lemon flavor in my cake. LOL! This place is super cute so we wanted to love it..unfortunately that wasn't the case. Service was pretty slow, which is okay if the coffee is amazing, but it just wasn't. My boyfriend and I split a caramel iced coffee and it was more water than coffee. Perhaps we just didn't order the right thing?? I'm sure they have better tasting coffee + their sweets & sandwiches did look tasty! Because this spot is cute & I love that it's right next to the creek, I'm not going to totally bash it! Java Groove has an awesome, and huge menu with tons to choose from. They have coffee, tea, smoothies, breakfast, sandwiches, salads, you name it. I loved that they had so many coffee flavors to choose from. I ordered a large gingerbread cold brew. The large is I believe $6.15 and 20 ounces. The drink I receieved was definitely not 20 ounces. It appeared to be more like 12. Not a huge deal but for a 6 dollar coffee you expect a little more. It was tasty nonetheless, and i'd definitely return to give their food a try. read more

The staff could benefit from customer service training. In addition, better presentation within their Togo orders could be better for the cost. Their sausage patty costs $2.50 and is extremely small for the price tag. We got a scramble as well, there are less than 15 mini potato's in the corner, and 1/4 of an avocado. Which goes for around $10-$12? So not only is the service minimal, but they give small food proportions for what you're paying. Not to mention the lack of fufilling orders within designated times (On a day where it isn't busy). The food is usually really good. This is a cute little coffee shop on the main drag in Evergreen with a lot of shaded patio seating. I noticed that they had flavored cold brew coffees, which I'd never seen before, so I asked to try the pecan flavored one. It was very unique and tasted just like pecan. It was very smooth because it was on nitro. Personally, I am not partial to nitro, but if you are, try one of the flavored cold brews (they have creme brulee flavored too). You will love them. I ordered a regular cold brew and I thought it was smooth and strong; just the way I like it. The barista was friendly, and the restaurant and the bathrooms were very clean. read more

Wow, just had a really horrible experience here. My wife ordered a iced latte with almond milk. First, it was really bad. It tasted like almond milk over ice, not made well. My wife took it up to the "barista", Gwen, and told her it wasn't good, not made well, and that she'd like something different. Gwen said she'd make something else but that she'd have to pay for the new item. Her attitude was the worst, and the family behind us agreed and promptly left. We returned the "latte" and I explained that it was not made well, Gwen laughed at me. Do not spend your money here. They are wearing masks now and actually felt more COVID compliant than most businesses. I normally don't write reviews, but I wanted to point this out since we didn't go there for nearly a year despite being a 2 minute drive away because of the reviews discussing their mask policy.
