We needed some snacks to stock our beach house rental and this was a one stop shopping store. Their prices are a little high compared to the chain grocery stores, but that's not surprising. We don't mind paying a little more in quaint small towns. We prefer the peaceful, low traffic areas of the Oregon Coast. Employees are always friendly and helpful here. Their private parking lot has plenty of parking available. The store is clean and well stocked. I would definitely recommend.

We stumbled upon this place and thankfully they had some playing cards! This really got us through our cabin fever in our hotel. They also had a large variety of alcohol, snacks, and ice cream that carried us through our late night shenanigans. If you're in Lincoln City and need something late at night, this is the place to go to for all your needs! Cal for Eugene Or. to move my granddaughter to be near her parents. Normally this is a 2 day trip up and 2 days back. Day one went without a hitch. Day 2 we got stuck in snow on Mount Shasta and had to turn around and head for Reading. They 3 started out perfectly until we got just passed Medford, Oregon when the road started to get icy. After five hours of crawling I-5, the road came to a stop. Department of transportation had closed the road. We were low on fuel and were chatting with another couple on our hand held radios. They decided to use a nearby inter change as a place to get some rest. As they got off, the husband said he thought there was a truck stop he could reach by nearby side roads, and if he could find it he would let me know. Praise the Lord. He found it! About 10 minutes after he told me how to get there we arrived at Shell Family Mart at exit 163 in Curtain, Oregon. The super friendly attendant filled both my truck and my wife's. He handed us bottles of water, and a card for free coffee inside the mart. He realized that the interstate was closed and told us just to find a place to park inside his lot for no charge and stay until the road was open. I love these guys and by the way the convenience store. Is full of all kinds of goodies and useful things for the traveler.

Getting gas here is a chore now…read more OK, so now you can pump your own gas in Oregon. I don't have a problem with that. But I DO have a problem with pumps that can take cards, but don't, with no attendants, forcing you to walk quite a ways across a lot into another building out of view of your car and wait in line. When you go to insert your card you're met with a little screen that says "Machine not currently taking cards. Please pay inside" or something like that. Even though the machine has a card reader, and I've used it before in the past under previous ownership. So OK, cool no problem. My legs aren't broken. I'll just walk inside. Now I have to wait in line at least 10 minutes behind people humming and hawing at what they want out of the deli case. Or to stare blankly at the menu as if they've never seen or heard of chicken on a stick before. I do finally get up there. I hand the kid my card. "How's it going? I'd like some gas. Fill on pump three please" He asks me how much? I say "a fill, I want to fill it up please" Then he asked me, well do you know like what dollar amount that's gonna be?. Really man? No, that's kind of what you're supposed to tell me after the car has been filled up. So they don't have the technology to put an authorization on my card, and then charge me what the total is when I'm done pumping the gas? Am I the only person that ever comes in and asks them to fill it up? Really? I say "Just give me $10" Only $10? "Yes please, thanks." (Just give me enough to get up the road to someplace that knows how gas stations are supposed to work.)

Small town gas stations/stores are usually expensive and have a very limited selection. That wasn't the case here. The bathrooms were incredibly clean and huge. I love that they painted Bigfoot footprints from the door out to the restrooms. It's cute and fun. The store is awesome. They have a huge selection for being such a tiny store, and prices are really good. I love that they carry Umpqua Dairy products, milk, ice cream, and cottage cheese. If I lived closer, I'd come in for those all the time. Prices are actually really reasonable. My husband and I picked up some snacks and soda while we were there. We really didn't need anything, but I wasn't stopping to use the bathroom and not make a purchase. Employee was super welcoming and helpful. I loved that I had time to walk around the entire store to simply browse everything they had to offer, which was more than I expected them to have. But I felt welcome to do so. There was no rush, no being watched, just a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere in this store. Would I return? Oh my word, yes! I've literally driven by this store a thousand times over the years and never stopped. Which kind of irritates me that I missed out on his little gem of a store.

The two young people began to argue with me that it WAS a cappuccino. I told them I make myself one every morning, have drank them for years, and know what they are. They basically called me a liar!! Two other ladies there ALSO tried to tell them but they just got more and more rude. I showed a picture of a cappuccino to the young woman who then replied, "I don't want to see your stupid picture!" I told the young man I was going to report their rudeness to the owner and he replied,"I'd like to report YOU to your owner." One of the other patrons that witnessed all this said she would also report them to her friend, Jill, that also works there. They were apalled as well! As a retired middle school teacher, I have to say the horrible conduct of these two young people helps explain what is wrong with our schools. I saw the lack of respect coming when I retired in 2013. So so sad!! No respect for their elders or authority.
