I really like Jason's Deli for a quick bite! The problem is that I almost always forget it's here ... because it "shares" a parking lot with BJ's Brewhouse so you really don't notice it. They have a great salad bar and you can even add salmon or chicken breast to it, giving you a well balanced meal! LOL. I also like their turkey wraps, but I get the dressing on the side so that it's not drowning in it! I have mixed feelings about this location. I love their salad bar, especially the new items that have been added to it, however I have serious reservations about sanitation at the salad bar -- despite it being brought to the attention of staff -- and the "value" for people who actually pay for the salad bar. On just about every visit I make to this location I have observed people re-using the same bowl from trip to trip -- instead of exchanging it for a new one as the HEALTH CODE REQUIRES. New bowls are available on request from the Expo counter, but there doesn't seem much in the way of enforcement, and many customers seem unaware of this. Better enforcement through gentle reminders to offending customers need to be taken Secondly there is an issue with young kids (ages 10 and under) going up to the salad bar and using their bare hands to reach into food containers and put items on the their plates. In addition, many of these kids come in with their parents who only order food for themselves and allow their kids to "graze" for free using the small side plates that are available near the napkin and utensil trays. Again, I have seen staff observe this unsanitary and blatant health code violation, yet nothing ever happens to correct the problem. When I have brought this to the attention of Jason's Deli employees they usually just smile and thank me for letting them know, but never take corrective action. I actually had an employee one time tell me "kids will be kids". Thats fine and dandy, kids can be kids, but if an establishment is not going to have employees correct HEALTH CODE VIOLATIONS or let people graze off the salad bar for FREE while paying customers subsidize their meals, I will make an adult decision and not return to this Jason's Deli location. read more

Good Gumbo, Good Sandwiches. Haven't tried their salad bar yet, but people seem to come just for that. I have enjoyed every visit to Jason's Deli, fast service, and a clean shop. I went here carrying a $5.00 off birthday coupon which they honoured... what a way to spend your birthday. Anyway, I got a spinach veggie wrap--sans Asiago--and it came with guacamole, very little onion, mushrooms and spinach. Salsa sauce ots and the fruit dip, as well. The wrap is nothing to write home about. My best friend went for the salad bar--$7.99 for UNLIMITED salad!!! You can't beat THAT. There's a lot of toppings and the area was kept clean. Food was great, we had the Chelada Shrimp, shrimp tostada and popcorn shrimp. Everything was good for the price! Will be coming back again. Five stars but tempted for four only because the waitress. She was very nice but as soon as I sat down she asked for our drink order and appetizers. We have never been here before We just sat down and had not even looked at the menu. I discovered it in accident one day. It has Olive mix with turkey breast on a crunchy sandwich. The quarter sandwich sounds like it's small but it's the same size as a regular sandwich. Ahhhh Jason's Deli- the one place I always forget is on Bay Area. Stopped in for lunch yesterday with my mom. Upon walking in we were confused on to go to the right or the left. But I noticed take out orders appeared to be going out on the right so we walked up to the left and grabbed a menu. When we were ready to order we walked up to the counter and was greeted by a friendly guy. He offered recommendations and was personable while we ordered and checked out. We both opted for the Manager's Special- one trip to the salad bar & a half sandwich with chips. We walked down and got our trays and bowls for salads. I headed over to the salad bar and I've always said and will continue to say that Jason's Deli has one of the best salad bars in clear lake. It has tons of options- veggies, dressings, cheese and even crackers at the end of the line. I loaded up my salad bowl and we were able to grab a table fairly quick. This was a late lunch so there were tables open- but it was fairly packed. Our sandwiches arrived shortly after. I wasn't impressed with my panini. It was really lacking in the amount of chicken. It was mainly bread with spinach and pesto spread. It was also luke warm, I expected it to be warmer since the bread had markings of being pressed. It also came with baked chips which were tasty. Thankfully I had my loaded salad, because the sandwich was a disappointment. Parking was fine today because again we were past the regular lunch hour. I eat out for lunch dinner or breakfast about 5x a week or more. Without talking bad about other restaurants, lately I have been very disgusted by the drink area. Not just the ice machine but the outside of the tea dispenser the organization of the lids and sugars. And sometimes silverware. So it was extra noticeable when I came to this Jason's Deli, and everything was clean shiny and neat. You can just tell from the soda dispenser area which is also the ice machine, that it has been cleaned very well. The lids were organized very well. Besides the obvious that their food is always fresh and tastes amazing, and they have really cool tea's like the 'Winter Spice' they have right now, I also like the fact that they hire felons, every felon with a job is one less felon that on streets, trying to make it some other way. Let me start by saying that I love Jason's Deli. I'm from the town it started in so I've grown up with it my whole life. Today I decided to get the MeataBalla sub. Everything I've had from here has been amazing. Not today. This is probably the worst sandwich I've ever had. The meatballs were probably from a frozen bag of meatballs. They had an awful flavor and the consistency was weird. The sauce wasn't good either. I'm not a fan of tomato sauces with chunks of tomato or onion. Prefer a thinner sauce. So I was there to pick up a doordash order. The order was there waiting, bagged ready to go. Since the order was sealed I didnt want to break the seal to check for a straw since the customer ordered a drink. I simply made 1 request and that was for a straw. The manager there doing inventory turned to me and said "did she ask for an extra straw??" I said no but since the bag is sealed I can't check and his answer was well I already told you I put 1 in there. I have never dined in at this place but its another catering favorite for my work. I agree, there is nothing spectacular about this place-its mainly soup and sandwiches and it has a nice twist compared to other sandwich joints. The reason its getting a 3 is because im just tired of the food-we order here about 3x a week. We normally get the chicken salad wraps that have pineapple and nuts in them, tuna wraps, veggie wraps and turkey sandwiches, a party tray with assorted cookies (chocolate chip pecan are good), pickles, chips and tea. I love sandwich places because i feel like i have a good clean stuffed feeling rather than a greasy, i just ate 900 calories and i am just sick of myself feeling :) Oh yeah and they do have baklava that my friend at works swears by! Had an incredible interaction with the manager last Saturday morning. My mom & I showed up very early, around 10, to pick up a few deli trays & fruit plates for a baby shower. The manager was helpful, accommodating & professional. He asked if we wanted our two fruit platters repackaged to be a large platter or if two small ones were good. He also got me a soup, well before they would be open for lunch service because I remarked that I was hungry. He then offered to help us to the car with our items & did it all with a smile! I eat here often. I find Jason's to be better than the typical deli for the Southern US. They have a great menu variety of sandwiches and salad bar choices. They also have some pasta choices but I'm not a huge fan. Their are a couple of menu items that are no longer on the menu that I dearly miss. The Asian Chicken Wrap was one of my all-time favorites and now it is gone. It can't even be ordered off-menu. I realize as a patron, this information does you no good but I'm hoping someone from Jason's sees this and brings it back. I have also used them on many occasions to cater. This particular location has always done a good job with catering. I cater on a regular basis from Clear Lake restaurants and Jason's seems to be one of the most reliable to arrive on time. read more

One of my favorite lunch spots!! The salad bar is pretty much my usual choice but I've tried everything else on the menu from the sandwiches, to the soups, to the baked potatoes and everything is always a hit. I have also came on the weekends with my kids and they love the place as well. It's normally busy but the service is fast and the employees are friendly and pleasant. One of my fave quick places to eat for fast food with a healthier bent. For dine--in, the salad bar is the way to go. For dine-out, delivery is available, but like everything else at Jason's, it's expensive--around 7 or 8 dollars, depending on time of day--and it's not always available since they don't always have a driver available. But when they do, you can order online and it takes them about an hour to get it to you. The staff has always been super friendly here. I've had some really good customer service at this Jason's. The only real complaint i have is that they are super expensive. Of course, they use good quality ingredients compared to, say, a Subway... so the prices do reflect that and they are cheaper than Panera. Their soups are pretty amazing. I absolutely love their chili and the chicken tortilla soup. Wheelchair accessibility is pretty good, provided you don't take the wheelchair through the line. it's got a bit of a curve/turn issue, but you can easily order from the other side and they've always accommodated me fine, even usually rushing to get the door for me and holding open while I do the chair, which is always a nice touch. There's plenty of room between tables and they are easy enough to get the salad bar, the drinks and the bathroom in the dining room and the tables are easy to sit at with the chair. So definitely props on the wheelchair accessibility. Good staff, good food, good environment, a little pricey but mostly worth it--great 'healthier' fast-food option. read more

Such a yummy place. The menu has several different options including sandwiches, baked potatoes, salads, soups, etc. making it a great place to come for lunch. My personal favorite it the spinach veggie wrap and at only 370 calories, it's a fantastic option that allows me to also indulge in their free ice cream! Also, be sure to check out the cranberry walnut cookie--holy yum! Delicious sandwiches, extensive salad bar, and free ice cream and at a reasonable price--what's not to love?!?! Jason's Deli has vegetarian options and they are easily marked on the menu. I just think they are overpriced for what they are. Today I got the Grilled Zucchini Garden Pasta and it was pretty good, but there wasn't enough vegetables. I was expecting it to be piled with zucchini but it wasn't - it is more like they are laced in the sauce somewhere. It wasn't a bad meal and it did fill me up but there was too much pasta and not enough vegetables. Last time I was at a Jason's Deli I got the Zucchini Grillini sandwich and that thing was packed with olives. I am not a fan of olives and next time I get that I will ask them to hold the olives. The whole sandwich tastes like olives though and all the other flavors are drowned out so I wouldn't say it is a good sandwich. I did try their tea and it was pretty good. The tables were clean and it was easy to find a place to sit and eat. I just wish the vegetarian food was a little bit better for the price. read more

I love the sandwiches here. They are all Trans Fat free, which is awesome- especially when eating meat! I get the club royale w/o pork. I take my little brother here to get the cheapest kids meals i've ever seen. He loves the salad bar ( because of the crakers).
