Perhaps it was a mistake which I will discuss with the manager. I was charged $34.60 for two grilled chicken sandwiches and two cranberry juice. The following day I was charged 32.35 on 1/23/2026 for two grilled chicken sandwiches and a drink. I did not order chips but a sandwich and a drink. The drinks were cranberry juice. The sandwiches are small. Decent size. You can buy a subway sandwich and a drink for less than $16 and that's a foot long sandwich. I was in hurry and did not think about the overcharge until now. Perhaps their sandwiches are now $11 and drinks $4 which would (b tax) make it a correct charge but not a meal size I would pay $11 for. read more

Holy Sh*t! It's been such a long time since I've had a REALLY good hot sandwich! This place is certainly hidden I just figured it out today! I had the roast beef at the suggestion from the nice lady at the counter. It was so freaking good, very savory and the bread wasn't soggy even though it's roast beef. That broth is delicious it really adds to the sandwich. My husband had the meatball Po boy, he devoured it in minutes. He said it was delicious. I guess I just got the wrong sandwich last time. This place makes great sandwiches. I love their pimiento cheese -- it's like I use to make, but don't get the poboy, the innards squeeze out. I've come here for it 3 times in the last couple of months and it's an 8 mile drive. Their egg salad sandwich is also good. I really enjoyed having a Reuben for the first time here. It was profoundly good and made me craving for another one. On top of that of craving a deli sandwich it made me tell everyone I knew about it. I was proud to say where I got my Reuben from, but now.. I'm rethinking all of that. It seems the Reuben's are not consistent at all. That is something that I dislike saying and hearing myself say. So, I came in one evening when "girls" were out. The girls are considered as the sandwich makers. The same exact "girl" who prepared my first Reuben. All that was left was the owners, Donna & David. Donna prepared two of the Reuben's I asked for one Pastrami & a Corned Beef. After this experience, It will be my last time coming here. Donna wasn't very kitchen ready nor sanitary. She was sick. She sniffed & coughed around my sandwiches. Not once, but twice. She touched everything with her plastic glove even the microwave, fridgerator door, plastic containers (where the meat was kept in) and the cheese & the sandwiches. Both sandwiches were soggy and the ends were hard. Both sandwiches had less meat and more sauerkraut. It tasted nasty and disappointing. The Reuben's on the menu were $6.49 & she charged me $6.99 each for both of them. All I ordered was the sandwiches by it self, no chips, drink, or dessert. The first Reuben gave me that bite me back vibe. But dang, those two were scraped together. I will not be back! Waste of money. Highly disappointed. read more

Native New Orleanian who found this friendly sandwich shop near Clear Lake area. Good French bread! Roast beef, meatball, muffallatta, ham and Swiss. We've tried them All and haven't been disappointed. The Cuban and muffallatta are non traditional but good and light compared to the originals in French bread and less greasy. This is such a great little deli. First of all, they have the best Mufaletta that I have had in Houston. They are also very inexpensive compared to the other delis in the area. When you go for lunch you can tell that it is an area favorite because it is usually a full house. The other day, on a Sunday, I called to see if they were open. The owner answered and said they they weren't technically open but they were there getting a catering order ready so if I would like to come by, they could make me a sandwich. After reading the many reviews about this small deli, I decided to give it a try. I drive by it every day on my way to and from work. I had never seen it though, as it is rather small and hidden in the corner of a strip mall. When I walked in, there was about 3 people in front of me and then another 4 came in after me. This was around 12:30PM on a Wednesday. The deli itself is very small. There is an older lady behind the counter who runs the show and then two Mexicans that are the muscle behind the counter. There are about 5 tables I the main part of the deli and then another 3 in a little side room. The deli connects to the dive shop next door, as they are operated by the same people. The menu is somewhat small and they have things from salads, soups, sandwiches, and "po boys". I ordered the hot roast beef poboy and my friend ordered the hot Cajun turkey poboy. The sandwiches took about 10 minutes to come out and the total bill with 2 cokes was right at $20, fairly pricy for two sandwiches and two drinks. I would increase the 1 $ to at least 2 $ for this restaurant. The sandwiches came out and each was about the diameter of a D cell battery. These things are tiny. Minuscule may be a better term. Honestly, I have eaten po boys all over the south and these by far are the smallest I have ever seen. These I would expect to see like at a wedding reception or something like that. A pass around. The hot roast beef had little to no flavor at all. They give you a little Au jus with it that helps some, but overall a tiny sandwich with very poor flavor. The Cajun turkey has cranberry sauce on it, which does help with the flavor, but again, small and tasteless. Overall, this place is a sad excuse for a sandwich shop. For them to call these tiny sandwiches "poboys" is an insult to that sandwich. They should consider calling them stuffed breadsticks or something like that. The people are friendly though. If it is your first time going, they will give you a little brownie for free, but it doesn't make up for high prices, small sandwich sizes, and flavorless meals. What a total hidden gem of a mom and pop store. The menu is small and concise, but delicious. Their specialty is po' boy and (hot) sandwiches. I got a lunch special po'boy complete with chips and drink. When my order was taken, they were so sweet and friendly in finding out what toppings and condiments I wanted on my sandwich. ("Wheat or rye?...Toasted? Avocado?...Mayo, mustard?...lettuce, tomatoes, onions?..." - all asked with a twinkling smile...not to mention, the gentleman behind the counter has a slight resemblance to Mr. Kris Kringle.) You do have to pay extra for lettuce and tomatoes though. If you're a first timer, they offer you a free brownie-bite. When my sandwich came out, it was delicious. The bread was toasted to perfection, and my meat and melted cheese were sublime. Instead of being messy like a Subway sandwich, my po' boy was delightfully easy to eat. I was sad to have gobbled it so quickly. Business is consistent and flowing - you can tell they are beloved by the locals. Oh...to further add to their wonderful customer service, I overheard them telling the table next to us that even though they're closed on the weekend, they typically come in to make catering orders. He said if you see their cars parked out in front, even with the Closed sign, but you see them inside, to just knock or come on in to order. Now THAT'S a level of customer service that you rarely find. Even when they're officially closed on weekends, they won't turn away a hungry customer if they're working inside. I have passed by this place many times on my way to Subway for lunch and finally decided to stop in yesterday for a sandwich. It wasn't until they were almost done making my sandwich that I realized the store was actually closed and I apologized for coming in. They told me how happy they were to have me and that a lot of times they are there on weekends doing catering and that I am more than welcome to come in and order food. Such a welcoming couple, it was great. These people are the PERFECT example of why we should be supporting local business and not chains. I ordered a 6 inch chicken salad sandwich. It was mostly and impulse order as I was starving and in a rush, but as I waited for them to make my food I explored the menu and they appear to have ALOT of great things that I cannot wait to try. I really enjoyed the freshness of the bread and the chicken salad, which appeared to be canned and not homemade, still left me feeling satisfied. I do wish I would have added some lettuce and tomato and that is my one critique of the shop... they need a more customer friendly menu to view. Maybe a simple paper menu with a "How to" order showing the options for each sandwich... That being said, as friendly as the owners were I am sure they would have no problem explaining it all too me and making recommendations to make me a perfect sandwich as well. All of their food is homemade and the owners & staff are friendly. Very patriotic place too. Their sandwiches are freshly made and the soups/gumbos are always hot when served.
