Review: Jason's Deli - 15275 Southwest Freeway (Sugar Land, TX 77478) We have been coming to this location for over 10 years and have always had great experiences--friendly staff, fresh food, a clean salad bar, and well-maintained dining areas. Unfortunately, our visit on April 4, 2026 was very concerning. When we arrived, we noticed trash and food debris outside and under the tables--something we've never seen here before. Inside, conditions were worse. While waiting for our food, I went into the ladies' restroom and found feces on the floor along with a strong poop odor. I reported it to the manager and was told it would be handled. At the same time, there were small flying insects around the salad bar, which is a serious concern for food safety. The ice cream machine had melted ice cream dripping onto the floor due to an overfilled drip pan. Several tables were left uncleared, and there was noticeable water on the floor near the salad bar area, possibly coming from the restroom. We returned a few days later out of concern, and unfortunately, the restroom floor had not been properly cleaned--some of the poop waste appeared dried stuck to the floor and still present. I do have phots of all of this on both visits. I'm going to report it to corporate. This is extremely disappointing given how consistently good this location has been in the past. It now appears to present serious sanitation and health concerns. I would strongly advise caution before dining here until these issues are addressed. I would give this location no starts but I had to leave 1 star which I clearly don't want to. read more

Ordered a "full" pastrami sandwich which despite the misleading advertising 8oz pastrami for $12.95 you are greeted with a $2.40 up charge for the full pastrami experience. So when I opened the box the sandwich looked a bit light. So I weighed the pastrami and it clocked in a 6 1/2 oz. That 19%. Almost a fifth less. The pastrami wasn't up to my memories of Jason's. What's worse is that on a weight basis I think Kenny and Ziggy's Hot pastrami comes in less costly by weight, for almost a pound. And it's also near New York City quality. Not happy with the portion control or the misleading advertising. Ambiance: ordered from uber eats. No complaints with Uber. read more

The Drive-thru service was excellent and patient with me due to the new Drive-thru menu that is limited to their inside menu. We've gone to this Jason's Deli for many years, so I sincerely hope this is a one-off. I usually get the turkey wrap, but this time the wrap had crunchy edges and i realized the tortilla was stale. I broke off the edges and kept eating til I realized it was tating worse and the last bite was awful (I have had food poisoning once: Lesson: Stop eating if it tastes "off" or bad!) I spit out the last bite which also made me gag. We waited close to 20 minutes for the drive through, and the wrap also had spotty dressing so most bites were just stale tortilla, lettuce, and turkey. The food at this location is ALWAYS good. They have consistently great fresh food. It is one of my favorite lunch places. The employees are polite and have a smile when they are taking orders and bring your food to the table. It's a bit noisy during the lunch rush, but that's expected. The salad bar is always fresh. My first experience with Jason's was when I worked in the Medical Center. It was love with the first bite. It was my to go breakfast and lite lunch spot. It was a three to four times affairs each week. But I stopped going after I started a family and needed to save money. Over twenty-five years later, with an insane long line at Grill City, my wife and I decided it was time to revisit Jason's. My wife went with a turkey muffuletta. I went with a classic cold cut Italian. We both picked the seafood gumbo cup to go with the sandwiches. The gumbo was full of flavor. The broth was not too thin nor thick, nice consistency. Both sandwiches tasted delicious with protein and bread ratio in harmony. The greens in both sandwiches were fresh. The sandwiches were hand-made on ordering and arrived quickly. For our company held conference, we ordered breakfast, snacks and lunches throughout the day for over 100 guests. Angela was kind enough to help me with the placing of and making changes to orders. We had the continental bakery box and 6 gallons of coffees for breakfast. The coffee cafe and muffins were super delicious. The box also had an assortment of donuts and other breads. For snacks, we ordered 2 large fruit trays that contained pineapples, strawberries, grapes and plain yogurt. The fruit was fresh and with the yogurt, tasted really nicely. For lunch, we ordered over 100 traditional assortment of lunch boxes that included, turkey, roast beef, veggie, chicken salad and tuna. Each box came with a bag of ruffles, cookie and pickle. For the second snack, ordered 2 fruit trays + cheese and 6 coffees. The fruit tray contained the same assortment of fruits and yogurt as the first but with a small amount of cheese. Would have been great if the trays contained an equal amount of cheese as the fruits. The customer service, delivery and food were overall great. Will continue to choose Jason's deli for boxed lunches. Very convenient and easy. read more

Went to order a sandwich last night. I love the oven roasted Turkey and the girl rang me up for smoked Turkey. I said I wanted oven roasted and she informed me that they didn't have that anymore. WHAT?? Why would y'all get rid of something you've had for over 30 years?? I've eaten here my entire life and have always gotten the oven roasted Turkey. Probably one of the healthiest "fast food" options out there for a quick bite. I came at 12 on a Saturday and it was pretty busy as expected for prime lunch time. I was still able to find a table though. I usually get a salad from the salad bar here. It's about 9 dollars which I think is a pretty good deal as compared to other pre made salad prices because for this you can stuff all the ingredients and know exactly is going into your food (ie. stay away from those "higher-calorie-than-the-actual-salad" dressings) The salad bar had a variety of fresh veggies like carrots, bell peppers, zucchini sticks, corn salsa, beans. They also have a lot of dressings as well as oils and an organic balsamic vinegar (my pick as it's the lowest in calories and guilt). I also like the extra topping bar with seeds and nuts. Once 30 minutes was up, I went inside and there was no customers in there so I asked employee at counter status of my order. They said ticket never made it to them. This is a favorite lunch spot drive through. Food is hot and predictably served if you have a favorite meal there. I always get the managers' special as a soup and half sandwich and chips. Big enough portions for lunch and love their vegetable soup and chicken salad on croissant. My husband appreciates the stack of deli meat on their full size prefers. And cookies are good too. In the drive thru They always remember the silverware which I appreciate as I typically do not carry soup spoons around. Their iced tea is strong enough to last the afternoon with ice melting at my desk. The drive thru line is usually about 4 cars deep and the wait is a thing there which is why 4 stars instead of 5. Quick and easy but very average. If half stars were an option, I'd probably give them 3.5 stars. This is an easy place to get a quick meal, but it is what the name says... a deli. They used to have a more extensive menu, but now that the menu is smaller, I had hoped the quality would have increased, but not so. The restaurant itself is fine but the tables could using a better cleaning between patrons. The red plastic glasses used for drinks are all nicked and scratched up and don't come as clean as they should. My club royal was ok but I asked nicely for no pickle and received it anyway, which is always a problem because pickle juice gets everywhere. The best part about Jason's deli are the free and plentiful gingerbread muffins. Those things are like crack and I LOVE them. Also, there is free ice cream for dessert, so don't order any. The gingerbread muffins are essentially a dessert too. Jason's deli does an easy and quick party platter in case you need something for a meeting or very casual get together. In my experience, people are usually happy with the quality of their party platters. This location has an outdoor patio that looks onto the beauty of the parking lot, and on this day, it was freezing inside so the patio was a nice option. read more
