I travel a lot for work, and I can always count on Jason's Deli to deliver delicious food accurately. This location is no different. I ordered through DoorDash for delivery. I ordered the beefeater, yum!! So much meat with cheese and Mayo on a bun and au jous. The sandwich was too big for me to eat! This is always a good choice. My sides, you ask? Potato salad and Mac and cheese. Mac and cheese superb! The potato salad had too many red peppers for me so I did pick them out, but it was good. (For the record, I love the taste of fresh peppers but my body doesn't process them well so I would rather just not eat them at all but wish I could!) I also got the big chef salad for lunch tomorrow. This is my favorite from Jason's Deli... with the jalapeño ranch dressing. That's the best part! Jason's Deli never disappoints. read more

I'm in town 4-5 days a week for work and have been for most of the year. Jason's Deli is my go to for dinner atleast 3 nights a week. No matter what you order, it's always very good! I always have it delivered using D/D and it's always accurate. I can't write about the inside of the restaurant because I've never been there. But the variety is Fantastic! Jason's has so many soups, sandwiches, and salad! Way more than their competitors. And everything I've had was great! I'm Glad there is a restaurant in Odessa that gets it right on a consistent basis. If I were to recommend selections, I would say the salmon sandwich is amazing. I ordered an online delivery order at 11:40ish. It was estimated to be delivered at 12:30-1:00. At 1 I called Jason's and was informed that no one had picked up my delivery, my food was cold, they threw it away and decided to remake my order. They didn't offer to give anything so I asked if they could throw in a drink or cookie or something. They said "sure". I asked for a Diet Coke and sweet tea. I received a Dr Pepper and sweet tea. The manager said "I will personally deliver it to you". This was told to me at 1:04pm. At 1:45pm I finally called them asking where my food was since my food was 2 sandwiches, a soup, and a Mac and cheese, and Jason's was only 10 minutes away from my location. At 1:47pm I got a texted saying "your order has been dropped off" at a desk on the 4th floor. I had to hunt it down to an empty desk that no one was around. Never got a call or anything saying I'm here I can meet you. Nothing. HORRIBLE customer service in my opinion. Would not recommend to anyone. Food was still cold when I got it. We came in for lunch (they are offering limited dine in). I had the Amy's turkey-O and the salad bar. I love how they are doing the salad bar. You fill out a paper by checking which items you want on your salad and it's made for you then brought to your table. It's genius! I appreciate their caution. I was worried they may take this as an opportunity to cut back on toppings but they didn't! They were generous and it was delicious. The customer service was also well above average! The woman at the cashier was very patient and helpful. The managers checked on us more than once and even offered to refill our drink. The elderly staff were by far our favorite. I was in the area working so I decided to give this Jason's Deli a try. They are known for their sandwiches. I got the beefeater sandwich, but they don't do just sandwiches. They have a salad bar and their baked potatoes are also tasty. Did I mention they have free ice cream? I may have got more than 1. I received my food promptly and without mistake. Less than 10 minutes at most. The dining area is large divided by the salad bar. The tables are a little bit smaller than the average table I'm used to, but I'm sure that just contributes to the intimate atmosphere along with the dim lighting. So I'm pregnant and went here with my boyfriend for take out. I got a steak salad and a cup of chicken pot pie soup. My boyfriend got a Reuben. As you can see from the picture, that steak salad was absolutely pitiful. It was lettuce with maybe 4 tiny pieces of steak in it. Barely worthy of being called a "steak" salad. The salad itself was super small. The only redeeming quality to the whole meal was the soup. The soup was good. BUT my boyfriend and I BOTH got sick from eating here that night. Terrible. As a traveling salesman I have eaten at just about every jasons in the entire state of Texas and would give any of the other jasons 5 stars every time. They are fantastic. This one is by far the worst. As a creature of habit, I get the same exact meal every time, the chicken salad wrap, no onions, and I sub my side for a cup of soup for usually no up-charge until today. However, this time the manager (I think? Short Hispanic with a shaved head) told me there would be an up charge, I told him that this location is the only location that has ever done that. He went on to say I was lying and that there is no way I could have eaten at every other jasons in Texas. So, naturally that put me off from the get go. Not a big deal though I pay the up charge and go about my business. Now the food, well I gotta say it might be worse than the service. First off they forgot my soup and My tortilla on my chicken salad wrap was crunchy and falling apart, like it has been sitting out in the open. I would ask for a redo but I didn't have time on my lunch break, so I pick around the crunchy parts. Reuben THE Great: Hot corned beef, swiss, sauerkraut, russian dressing, grilled on rye. $7.29 I had a craving for a Reuben sandwich and decided to go to Jason's Deli. It's a good choice to be sure. The corned beef and sauerkraut is piled high which makes the sandwich a little difficult to handle. The taste was very good and I liked the russian dressing. The rye bread is a little on the thin side and after the first half of the sandwich was eaten, the bottom side of the second half was a bit soggy. The sandwich was served with a dill pickle spear and baked chips. I washed everything down with two glasses of the terrific sweet tea and topped it off with soft, self serve ice cream. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. All in all, a good experience. Suggestion: If your really hungry, go for the full sandwich. If not, take a friend and split it. I work for Jason's deli in Austin. This location is a joke and my managers would kill over if they walked in and saw some of the things I did. Jason's deli is very by the book and this location is nothing close to it. It's an obvious explanation to why they still work with old school registers and counters. The place use to have it all until it went under new management. The managers that were there were outside in the front smoking and when they walked in they didn't care to help or anything. The employees are rude and the girl who was making the food at the line was actually on her phone while cooking. I use to get deliver however they changed the policy that you have to at least $20 to get deliver so I just went to Steak express instead. I do love the Chicken Club Salad so that's the only reason why they get a two star and also the only place that carries the pomegranate cherry juice that I like. We have visited the Odessa Jason's Deli several times and this time we got a Reuben and a California Club. We traded halves of the sandwiches...the reuben is huge with a lot of corned beef and sauerkraut so half of one is plenty for one person especially if you also have soup. We also had some broccoli cheese soup and mixed fruit as a side dish. The fruit dish consisted of sliced melon and whole strawberries which were good, and fresh. The soup was also very good. As far as the Reuben, the corned beef was not the best we have had, it had a little gristle to it but was certainly not bad. The California Club on croissant was better I thought, although they did leave off the sprouts it usually comes with. We do like the complimentary corn and gingerbread muffins they serve. My main complaint with Jason's in general is the arcane system of ordering. You have to tell your order to one person who has to have the prices memorized and is sometimes confused by special orders. They have to write out a ticket which you, the customer, have to take to a separate cashier where you pay. Then after that you have to hand your ticket back to the kitchen. Every other sandwich shop like this, the person who takes your order is also the cashier and they communicate your order to the kitchen either with the paper ticket or by computer and you have your entire transaction done within hardly any more time than it takes to complete one step of this process at Jason's. I will say though that the staff was friendly and pleasant. read more

Jason's Deli in Odessa isn't perfect, but overall they are fantastic. It is one of my family's go-to places for a quick and delicious meal. My wife's favorite is the California Deli Manager's Special, while I tend to choose the Jason's Deli most of the time. Besides that, Jason's Deli has the best salad bar for under $10 that you will find anywhere, it is outstanding. Their sandwiches are also well made, and toasty. Awful taste! We have visited multiple locations in several states and this one is the worst. Being habitual, we ordered the beefeater. While usually a delicious meal, this one was a doozy. It was over salted, dry, and quite a turn off. Not only was the food a disgrace but the cleanliness and customer service was not worth the time or money. The cashier did not charge the correct amount and then proceeded to charge the card twice to fix the transaction. Also, it needs cleaned. For example, if the soft serve leaks. Maybe try fixing it instead of the quick fix of using the bucket to collect the drippings, which sits there for hours as it goes bad. read more

If it weren't for the food, I would give less stars. My family and I went there yesterday for dinner and for the second time in a row, this place really disappointed me. First, the lady that took our order put us on hold while she rang up another order that had been written down. Hello!!! You don't put customers on hold. You help the customers standing in front of you FIRST (you know, the people who are actually physically present to make an order) and then get back to your call in order or whatever it was. Second, for the second time in a row, this particular location doesn't bring your order to your table anymore like they used too. Oh but that's right. They give you a number and expect you to walk back up to the counter to pick up your order. What's the point of taking a number card to your table and placing it on the little number holder on the table if you aren't going to physically deliver a customers food to their table. guess they're too good for that. They don't even announce your number to let you know when your food is ready. They expect you to just guess when it's ready and walk back up to the counter to pick it up yourself instead of there being some kind of announcement like most restaurants have.
