We are regulars here. I've judged and participated in several chili cook offs. The chili here is one of my favorites. We always order the salad bar. I bring my own homemade salad dressing because I'm not fond of any restaurant salad dressings. There's only one salad bar disappointment here: the carrots. They are those short petite-cut sticks. They always taste awful for some reason. I prefer shredded carrots in a salad. There are so many salad bar items here that I don't really miss the carrots though. read more

Love salads. Consequently I love this place. I wish they had more fruit options as that is what I like to put on my salad. I like it when they have sliced apples, pineapple, strawberries, etc. This place only had pineapple. For the dressings they did have olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette set out, which you normally don't see. However, I always stop at Walmart before coming here and get my own raspberry vinaigrette. Like to sprinkle the trail mix all over it and have the gingerbread muffins on the side. And of course, after the salad, ice cream. I'm very happy with the customer service I receive at the counter. Frequently I find that the manager is taking orders and he is always friendly and helpful. But when it is not, those employees also are pleasant. I like that they don't seem like they are going thru the motions to get thru their shift. I'm happy to report that the vegetables on my sandwiches and in my salads are still fresh and the deli meat servings are generous. The breads are soft or appropriately toasted. I've yet to truly be unhappy with how a sandwich has been prepared. Also, the dining room seems to be turned over quickly so that tables don't sit with empty plates and cups for long. Came with a girlfriend after church (shoutout to Whitestone church in cedar park) Afterwards my friend suggested eat at Jason Deli. It was just a few minutes down the road. The service was quick, no line really. You order at the counter. The menu is easy to read and I picked out the managers special which came with half sandwich and salad bar. The salad bar had more than just salad which I was surprised by. It had pastas, desserts, breads, and sides like hummus. My sandwich also came with chips. The food was very delicious and I left satisfied. I'd definitely come again and I noticed it had a drive thru which is very convenient! read more

Despite ordering the light version of the Reuben sandwich, I will get two meals from the portion that arrived. I took my meal to go. The sandwich comes with a dill pickle, and a bag of chips. I also ordered a cranberry oatmeal cookie just because it sounded too good to pass up The Reuben was good. I think they need to put a little more attention on ratios so that there is a better meat to cheese to sauerkraut to Thousand island dressing ratio. It was made on grilled pumpernickel rye combo bread. It is decent bread, but I am used to deli style when I order a Reuben so I wished it had come on some deli, rye bread that had some chew to it. The service was really good. Initially, I waited maybe three minutes to order but the young man that took my order, took my payment and gave me my food was very nice. The young man was respectful and seemed very responsible. I gave him a 20% tip in cash and he expressed gratitude for it. I could tell he certainly didn't take it for granted. He is the reason that I gave this establishment more than two stars. Jason's deli is a chain restaurant and they are generally all built the same with tables, chairs booths, and a salad and soup buffet area. The one in Cedar Park is no different. Still one of my favorite go-to lunch spots in the area, and safe to say I'm here at least once a month if not more. The food is consistent no matter what I've ordered, and the service is always good. They do a good job of keeping the place clean and clearing tables especially during the lunch rush. My favorite sandwich that I usually always get is their smokey jack panini-it's fantastic. It's a combo of turkey, pepper jack cheese; bacon (goes well on anything), guac and 1000 Island dressing on toasted sourdough. I wouldn't describe it as overly spicy, but it's a nice combo of flavors. I would absolutely give this one a try. They also have a pork burnt end Mac and cheese bowl that is a must try-one of their limited menu items and it is so dang good. Ice cream machine works just fine so don't forget to wash down your meal with chocolate or vanilla soft serve. read more

I must admit, I only order the salad bar here. I haven't really tried the sandwiches but the salad bar has such a great variety of lettuce and vegetables along with al lot of tasty dressings. They offer a variety of additional toppings like nuts, raisins, etc. and always croutons, mini muffins, & toasted bread as well. It is a given that when you finish the salad bar you will not have room for anything else's that's why I haven't got around to trying other items. It is "serve yourself" for the salad bar and drinks, but the sandwiches and other items are made to order. There is no table service. The ambiance is rather commercial style but it's always neat, clean and comfortable and has ample seating at tables or booths. Pretty standard lunch place. read more

I ordered through DoorDash and it took them over an hour to find me a dasher. However, while waiting my food was prepared and stayed on shelf for over an hour COLD . I received my order and you can tell my food wasn't even at the temp from the driver coming to me it was from sitting at the restaurant for so long. I was unfortunate to get up myself to get my food or cancel because I didn't have a way to eat I was at a clients home for my job ! Anyway, I called and spoke to a "manager" he told his name was Joshua. I explained and he kept delaying his responses as if he didn't wanna hear what I had to say and showed ZERO empathy. No apology at all. In fact, he kept repeating "well yea we kind of just have doordash on a platform so the dashers can come pick up food other than that idk" and proceeds to tell me he doesn't wanna argue but yet does not provide me a solution as a reputable manager and me being a customer. I felt so lost and angry after that. DoorDash wouldn't give me a refund so I asked him he says he can't but he can send out another dasher after they remake the food lol Didn't get my name or anything until I had to remind him..... I said okay, waited at my clients home for another hour cleaning and nothing ever came to me or nobody ever contacted me . What a waste of money, bad customer service , poor food regulation for third party deliveries, and lack of communication !!!! You guys PREPARE our food. Mind you this is my first review in YEARS . It's been awhile since I've been to Jason's deli and happened to enjoy it. I prefer this over McAlisters which is next door. Came here with the kids and was pleasantly surprised. First, I've been reading a lot of reviews that mentioned the place was dirty. However, my experience was that it was pretty clean. Not perfect but I wouldn't expect it to be any better at dinner time. I ordered a turkey wrap and we'll, it's a wrap with turkey and avocado so you can't really screw that up. It's what's you'd expect. The kids got a kids pizza. While it's no Home Slice, it's actually better than I thought it would be. Kids loved it. Of course, they have the free ice cream... pretty much the entire reason we go there. So worth a visit. read more

Food was the usual, but the 25 minute wait at lunch doesn't make it a good option if working. When I went over to check on the food, there were a lot of people that had been waiting a long time getting their orders out next, so they had lost all semblance of a system. It was, literally, the hunger games. My sandwich was made but sat for so long toward the end of the line with no one working there that it was cold by the time I got it. I did not ask for it to be remade, because I didn't have another 25 minutes to wait. I asked to speak to a manager to let them know that my gentle suggestion would be to add someone else to the end of the line for final plating, but they said he was too busy to speak with me. I called my order in and was given a pickup time. I arrived before my time, but they had not started preparing my order. It was placed in queue when I arrived. On top of all this, when I walked in, I was told to get in line by the manager and wait for my turn at the register and I agreed. Other customers who called in their orders were put ahead of me. TLDR: Very good sandwich chain with decent Italian subs and very good corned beef Reubens. Stopped by here recently and liked the warm deli-style look of the place. Clean and relatively prompt service, though (yikes!) it was cold inside as the AC was cranked up full. Yes, it's a Texas summer day outside but wow, I guess they want to keep the customers at the same temperature as the chilled beef. :-) Ordered an Italian Cruz Po'boy and a Reuben the Great (it's the large-size Reuben) with the corned beef option as opposed to the pastrami. The fact that they offer a choice is a plus in my book. All sandwiches here fall in the $8-12 range, are quite large, and come with a side of chips, which is nice. The Italian was decent, with good cold cut selections and fresh veggies. The po-boy style bread was a bit dry and crumbly so when averaged out, it's good but nothing to shout about. Kudos to the Reuben, however. A generous portion of corned beef, tasty slice of swiss, and nice selection of rye bread. Even better - they didn't 'sog up' the sandwich with too much sauerkraut and Thousand Island dressing. So, definite thumbs-up for the Reuben and a so-so thumbs up for the Italian. Definitely will come back to try some more of their fare! This place scores a 4 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Staff is pleasant, but the place is filthy. Food, trash all over the floor. The pictures are only a handful of what was everywhere. We went in shortly after they opened on a Sunday and the place looked like the closing team and opening teams just didn't care to clean up the place. The place appeared to have plenty of staff and at least once, someone came out while we were there to clean a handful of tables that had been sitting dirty. They didn't however take the time to clean any of the floor. Even though we enjoy eating at Jasons Deli, we won't be back. If the place looks this bad in front of the customer, can only imagine what a customer can't see. read more

Getting my car repaired took longer than I thought, so I was starving. On my way home from the car dealers, I stopped to get a sandwich. This Jason's hasn't been opened long. Everything is new but same décor as all the other Jason's. I knew I wanted a Reuben so ordering was easy. there were only a few ahead of me so the wait to order was short. Since I was getting it to go, I stood off to the side. It gave me a little time to look over the place but not too long as my food was handed to me within ten minutes. It was enough time for a line to start forming for the lunch rush. The food is consistent with Jason's. Filling and warm. Plenty of corn beef piled on, with sauerkraut and swiss with Russian dressing. My favorite. Standar5d price which IMO a bit pricy. read more

We came to Jason's Deli for the AYCE Salad Bar and for their great food that I've experienced at every other Jason's Deli. Imagine my confusion when I noticed that the side salad ( one trip to the salad bar) for $6.39 and then a Gardan Salad Bar (also a one trip to the salad bar...it used to be AYCE) for $9.70.....literally no difference. In addition to the salad bar situation...which was missing items and sour/spoiled vegetables (artichokes, cucumbers)...it's also missing the great chocolate mousse that the kiddos loved and the ice cream machine is broken. The kiddo food is fine...I got a chicken salad sandwich and it had zero flavor...it was like chunky water and I didn't eat it. I don't know if this is a sign of the post-covid times or what but Jason's deli and it's new policies/protocols definitely could use some help. Not everything was bad how it used to be and I feel like this place is another company using covid as an excuse to be sub par. Save yourself time and money and head to McAlisters a few doors down:) read more

This gets 2 stars because of a 7* salad bar . Everything else from the cashier to the food sucks . Place was as filthy as it could be as well. I could handle the rude and slow cashier if the food is good but both being bad is where I have to whine . :) Do not order the French dip sandwich . It was not just bad ,it's fu....ing disgusting . Dry and nasty . I told a guy cleaning to grab manager for me so I could politely show him the gross sandwiches we had and no one ever showed . Both my wife and I just threw them away . If we ever try this again, the only thing I will eat is the salad bar. read more

This location did an amazing job of getting 195 box orders ready for me. They put names on the boxes and had them ready on time. The food was good and tasted fresh. Out of 195 boxes, we only had 1 minor issue, they put a regular cookie in a gluten free box. I would definitely order food for a group from here again. read more

I just had a great lunch here-haven't been to Jason's deli in years, but I'll be coming more often now. Chef Blake helped me order a sandwich that wasn't on the menu that I had 10+ yrs ago. It's a meataballa-sub chicken, add mushrooms and it's a chicken parm sandwich basically and was amazing and exactly what I wanted! The manager with the headset on and blue shirt was helpful and friendly which I really appreciate. Chef Blake inspired me to write this review b/c he was so genuinely friendly, funny and helpful and I don't encounter that very often in food service. Both gentlemen deserve credit (and a raise) b/c that is exactly what you want in an employee. Great job guys I'll be back! read more

Ordered a hot pastrami on wheat with mustard via the drive thru. The sandwich was huge and delicious! I could only eat half. It comes with chips and no drink. It was $10.29 + tax. A bit pricey in my opinion. I had to ask for a pickle. For the cost a drink should be free. It's America and they can charge what they want so I'm not mad at them. I'll be back. read more

Jason's Deli has really gone downhill. Met up with the family here for lunch today, thinking how good a bowl of French onion soup sounded. It's no longer on their menu, replaced by a bevy of thick, carb heavy options. The only place we could find to sit was dirty - we had to find staffers to sweep up - they weren't on top of their cleanliness at all. So many places with better menus and ingredients and staff around. This will be my last stop as Jason's. read more

Am I allowed to post a complaint about the men's restroom. If so then I'd like to say that there is only 1 urinal and 1 toilet. The urinal is waterless/flushless which is just weird but ok I guess. The toilet has a flush handle that is about to fall off. It's like what you would find in a house, not a commercial toilet. The sink has a loose push button for water that slowly turns itself off but it too looks like it will not last long. That being said, it's your typical wonderful Deli and the quality you'd expect from Jason's. I've gone to many locations in Austin mostly for years and never disappointed with the quality and the dining room. They even have a drive thru. read more

What is there to say? It's Jason's Deli. They are the reference point in this area for Deli style restaurants. So I can only compare them to other Jason's Delis, or Mcallister's. Mcallisters isn't bad. But Jason's in my opinion is just a bit better. Food quality amd selection is better. They have only been open 5 days. You would expect rough spots in food and service. I didn't see any. So that is a positive for the quality of management and training. No glitches in either. Tonight I had a half Reuben and cup od Chicken Sausage Gnocchi soup. If you've never been to a Jason's, the sandwiches are piled high. I was really hungry, so I ended up ordering a full bowl of soup. Loved it. I love the food and service here. Keep up the good work. And as one who goes out to eat a lot, I look forward to eating here regularly. P.S. I didn't get a Salad Bar tonight (maybe next time), but Jason's has a very good salad bar. And house brand flatbread crackers that I really love. They also have free soft serve cones. read more

Turkey Cranwich was WONDERFUL! Seasonal sandwich. Wish it was all year round! Hubby ordered chili and it was ok. Also ordered salad bar. He was happy with the size of the salad (as he ordered salad bar from OTHER Jason's & only got a "side" size). We did curbside both times. Gingerbread muffins were wonderful also!
